Rusty's room has been called creepy by many people. He doesn't mean to keep it so dark and spooky.. it just sorta happened. And it doesn't help that he's got gray curtains that reach the floor so absolutely no natural light gets through. That one could've been prevented.. but he didn't feel like going out to spend money on something he already had. Opposite the bed, Rusty has a small love seat, a side table, about four TV trays (cuz he's got no table to eat on), a small television, and a desk and chair. All his school stuff is piled under and around the desk, and his chair is covered in almost all the coats he owns. Under the TV, Rusty keeps his xBox 360 and various games. Contrary to popular belief, Rusty's room is actually very clean. Clean meaning its not like, moldy and shit. There's a lot of clothes lying around.. but you'll never spot a stain or an empty pizza box. He recycles, too. Please put your empty cans in the box by the door.

Rusty opened his dorm door and was greeted with a thick darkness. His room was probably the darkest room in the entire school. You literally could not have seen your hand in front of your face if not for the light from the hallway. After slipping his hand in and around the wall and aimlessly swatting for the light switch, a single lamp lit in the corner and Rusty proceeded in. For someone with such a dark room, Rusty was absolutely terrified of the dark. Waving his hand back over his shoulder, Rusty motioned for Crysta to enter as well and when she did, he pointed to his bed. "You can sit there or on the couch if you want but.." he turned to the couch and frowned. It was covered in his clothes. "I suggest the bed." After plopping down his backpack and board, Rusty kicked off his shoes before launching himself at the bed superman-style. He made Crysta bounce a bit, but she seemed fine when he sat back up, only to tackle her back to the bed with him. Pinning her by her shoulders and laying on his side, Rusty smiled down at her before raising a hand above her face. "Noogie?" he said, tilting his head to the side before letting his hand fall again. He really had no intention of messing up her hair. It was too gosh darn lovely. Gosh darn. After a few minutes of just laying there, Rusty cleared his throat and sat up again. "Wanna watch a movie? Or play a game or something?" he asked, kicking his feet over the side of the bed. "My tv kinda sucks but.. y'know. It works, either way."

This was the first time Rusty had invited Crysta to his dorm, which was fair enough as they'd only been hanging out five days or so, but nevertheless Crysta was intrigued. When Rusty was opening the door Crysta's first thought was that he was joking and he was actually showing her a janitors closet or something, but when the light came on she was surprised to see an actual room behind the door. It was a pretty cool looking room as well, kind of grunge, which Crysta liked.
'Yeah I'll take the bed', Crysta replied, glancing over at the couch and seeing it was piled high with clothes, which reminded her that if she was going to invite Rust over to her dorm she'd need to clean up a bit first. It had barely even been five days but somehow she'd managed to empty her closet on to the floor already.
Crysta was busy untying her shoes when Rusty launched himself at the causing her to bounce over a little, which is when he pinned her by the shoulders. At first Crysta had the crazy idea that he was going to kiss her, which made her blush, but when he threatened to give her a noogie, she just laughed.
'Don't you dare', when he backed off she said, 'It takes me a good five minutes to make this magic happen every morning, don't want you messing it up', she flipped her hair around a little bit, almost too enthusiastically as she nearly missed what Rusty said next.
'Oh yeah movie ... Or game', Crysta squinted at the collection that Rusty had stacked up under the TV but she couldn't really spot anything, 'Do you have like, Skate3 or ... I dunno, Lego Lord of the Rings?', she laughed kicking off her shoes, 'I'm a boss at Lego Lord of the Rings'.

Rusty giggled when Crysta asked if he had Lego Lord of the Rings and shook his head. "No but I've got Lego Harry Potter," he said, a bit embarrassed as it was quite a childish games. All his other games were either skateboarding, hockey, or something with guns. In fact, most of the games were the many versions of Call of Duty. He just really liked to blow shit up.
After standing from the bed and moving towards his TV set up, Rusty squatted down a bit to search through the games. After coming to a skateboarding game, he removed it and tossed it to Crysta. "We can play that one next," he said, not really to her but more so just to make a point in his mind as he then pulled out the Lego Harry Potter. After turning on his xBox, Rusty reached a hand up to turn on the TV. Which turned out to be a horrible idea because seconds after he pressed the power button, there was a loud hissing sound, a crack, a pop and then BANG.
Falling back, Rusty put his hand over his face to shield the sparks. When he let his arm settle, he looked to the TV which was smoking from the back. "Shit!" he said as he climbed to his feet and hurriedly moved to the back of the television where there was quite a bit of black smoke. There was also a hole blown straight through it and little pieces of plastic were all around his feet. He thanked god that it hadn't blown through the screen.. that could've been dangerous.
"Well fuck, man," he said turning to Crysta as he swatted at the smoke. "I uh.. I guess we'll have to settle with listening to music. Hopefully that thing won't blow the fuck up too." Rusty smiled a bit to assure Crysta that everything was okay as he moved to his desk and opened his laptop. After clicking into Pandora, he returned to the bed and bounced across it until he was sitting directly next to her. He hadn't meant to make it so their legs were touching, but he wasn't planning on moving away. Biting his lip a little, Rusty looked down at Crysta's outfit then back up to her eyes.
"I like your shirt," he said with a goofy smile.

'That's okay, Harry Potter is like my third favorite Lego game', Crysta replied, getting comfy on the bed, 'After Lord of the Rings and Star Wars', she clarified, leaning Rusty's pillows up against the wall so she had something soft to lean on. Crysta was busy reading the reviews on the back of the game case Rusty had just passed her when she heard a loud bang which startled her in to looking up. Startled by the sight of sparks flying towards Rusty Crysta let out a distressed noise and pushed herself up against the wall.
'I'm guessing it doesn't usually do that?', Crysta asked, settling back in to her comfy position when Rusty was clicking away on his laptop. The smoke was still clearing and Crysta was wondering if they should open a window. Was TV smoke dangerous to the health? Probably.
When Rusty came and sat down next to her Crysta couldn't help but notice just how close they were. Had Rusty meant to sit this close? Or was it just a happy accident ... Maybe not even a happy one, perhaps just an accident accident ... Crysta was so busy over thinking it that she almost missed Rusty's comment about her shirt. 'Oh, thanks', she replied with a small smile, she pulled on the crop top a little as it had ridden up with her being sat down. There was an awful lot of her stomach on show, and now Rusty had pointed it out she felt weirdly conscious about it. 'I think I'm too pale to wear crop tops', she said, a little randomly, as she really didn't know what else to say, she poked at her stomach, 'I'm really pale ... You're not though, you could totally pull of a crop top if you so desired', she joked.

Rusty buried his chin between his collarbones when Crysta joked about her shirt. "I mean, I was gonna wear a crop top today but I thought you'd judge me," he said, continuing with the joke before turning his head to her, his chin still down. "I don't think you're too pale," he said softly with a slight smile.
Over maybe two days, Rusty had started to feel quite a bond with Crysta. It wasn't just friends that he felt anymore. There was something stronger. And it wasn't just lust. Certainly there was a bit of lust because I mean he's a seventeen year old boy. But it was deeper than that. The fact that they'd known each other so long, the fact that he'd thought he'd lost her and now she was back. It gave him a confidence boost, made him feel important. She made him feel important. And he was happy with her.
Shaking his head after noticing that he'd been staring at her, Rusty stood and swatted his hand through the smoke again which was still billowing from the back of the television. He prayed it wouldn't explode as he moved to his curtains and pulled them open. As the sunlight came in, Rusty squirmed and hissed like a vampire before pushing open the window. "Zeh lightttt, eet hurtsss," he teased, propping open the storm glass and wondering why his windows didn't have screens. That was odd. And the fact that he didn't know only proves how often his windows and curtains are kept closed.
Though it was still quite bright outside, the sun was indeed going down. The skies were red with sunset, and orange and yellow clouds were covering the sun as it sunk behind buildings. It was cool out, but not quite cold. Pleasant weather, to be frank. Rusty stood at the window a moment, leaning over a bit and propping himself up with straight arms against the frames. His eyes were closed and he was thinking about Crysta. Cute make-believe situations were flying through his head as he stood still; what would happen if they kissed, what would happen if he took her hand, what would happen if he asked if she wanted to stay the night. Or was all that too much? Too soon? Sighing, Rusty tipped his head just a bit too far forward (quite quickly, too) and hit it against the window. "Ah shit," he hissed, stepping back from the window and falling back onto the bed, his body flat against the quilt and his head now directly beside Crysta's thighs.
"Fuck, its just an off night, huh," he said, his eyes still closed. "First my fucking TV explodes, now I think I have a concussion, there's a pretty girl in my room..." That was a slip. Oops.

'Well thanks', Crysta replied quietly with a small smile. It was one of the oddest compliments she'd ever received, but she'd take it. After all Rusty was quite an odd person, and she was in his quite odd room. The compliment was fitting. Crysta glanced over at the TV again, smoke was still billowing out, really not good. When she glanced back at Rusty he was still staring at her and she let out a quiet nervous laugh, not knowing what to say.
As Rusty ot up and started swatting at the Tv again Crysta allowed herself to blush, burying her head in her hands for the briefest second while Rusty couldn't see. Crysta wasn't sure if Rusty remembered the immense crush that she had on him back in the day, but it seemed like it was back. Back when she was a kid she basically followed Rusty everywhere he went, and he was always to nice about it. When Crysta's family had left for Tennessee without saying goodbye she had felt bad about it for months and months. Now she had her friend back and she was so happy and excited, and full of hormones and ... All she wanted to know was whether Rusty felt the same way!
Before she even knew what was happening she heard a small thump and then Rusty was laid out on the bed next to her legs. It wasn't too hard to peg together what had happened, Crysta let out a small laugh and reached out to pat Rusty's head in a comforting way.
'First my fucking TV explodes, now I think I have a concussion, there's a pretty girl in my room..' Crysta beamed and then bit her lip trying to get herself to stop smiling, but it didn't work, she just smiled harder, 'You think I'm pretty?', she asked, and she didn't put on a silly voice, she didn't laugh, she just asked. Crysta shuffled around a bit, trying to get comfy all over again, now that Rusty was taking up most of the bed. In the end she was sat crossed legged just behind Rusty's head, looking down at him and realizing he still looked cute upside down.

Rusty blushed when he realized what he'd said, and then blushed even harder when he realized he'd said it out loud and that Crysta had heard.. and replied. He chuckled kind of awkwardly and brought his hands up to his face. Dragging his fingers down over his eyes and cheeks, he stretched his skin around in weird directions before smacking his hands back down on the bed. "Yea," he said, looking up at her as she moved around and came to sit behind his head. "Yea, you're very pretty," he tried to add a little something so it didn't just sound like nothing. He wanted it to mean something. And by adding 'very', he thought he'd accomplished that. He wasn't good at flirting.
Rusty wanted her to know what he was feeling. He wanted to just sit up, turn to her, look her in the eyes and say "Crysta, I think I love you. I don't even know what love is, but I've known you so long and you're so important and I think whatever love is.. its us." But that was weird, right? He'd been with her maybe five days, and still he wasn't even with her with her. They'd been reunited, but as friends. So it was wrong to suddenly give himself to her like that, wasn't it? Well, whether or not, Rusty decided to let his heart lead the way as he sat up, turned to face Crysta (copying her criss-crossed sitting position) and leaned in to kiss her. It was quick, and he was lucky he hadn't smashed his face against hers.
"I'm sorry," he said, wide eyed, as he withdrew his face. How cliche a scene it was, the two of them facing each other, both cross-legged, hands on their knees. "I shouldn't have.. I'm sorry."

When Rusty came and sat in front if her Crysta was expecting a joke, something funny to distract from the fact Rusty had just called Crysta pretty ... Twice. When he leant forward and kissed Crysta she let out a small gasp but didn't move back or anything, in fact she leaned forward.
'Don't be', she replied with a small smile, a little hesitantly she reached one hand up and placed it on the back of Rustys neck, pulling him towards her. 'I've been wanting to do this for five years', she let out a small laugh before pressing her lips against his.

Rusty blushed when Crysta said she'd been wanting to kiss him for five years. That was so reassuring, and it made him feel all fluffy inside. But then again, it kinda made him feel bad for not having noticed. Either way, he tried not to think about the 'five years ago' part, and focused instead on the fact that there was a girl kissing him. He, and a girl, were sitting in his room.. kissing. Fuck. This was his first kiss! Well, his first real kiss. He and Sally had kissed once or twice just because it was funny and well.. it led to things. But this was Rusty's first actual, loving, meaningful kiss. And when he realized, he stopped. And he wished he hadn't.
"Oh sorry I didn't mean to pull away I just.." he smiled cutely and sighed. "I've never really.. I've never kissed a girl before." He figured it might be best to just leave it at that. Why bother with long stories about a meaningless fake romance when it wasn't even a romance in the first place. It was joking around, and therefore it didn't count. But this counted. This definitely counted.
