Eric naturally followed Zander out of Starbucks, utterly thrilled that he offered to walk with him back to the station. "Oh really?" Eric asked, a little relieved he wasn't the only one from here, "So, how long have you been going to school here?" There was no way it was his first year in the city, Eric thought, he seemed too confident in this setting.
It occured to Eric that every time he started to talk, Zander's eyes weren't making contact with his own, but with... what? He thought maybe it was something like his freckles, which were covering a good portion of his body. It seemed that usually that's all people noticed about him. Or maybe it was his nose ring, since he knew it was kind of unusual for a boy to pierce his nose. But there was a little voice that hoped it was something mildly seductive, like maybe his lips, because Eric secretly liked the idea-- it gave him butterflies, thinking about stuff like that. If Eric had not already decided to just go with the flow and do whatever his instinct was, it would really give him nervouse and excited anxiety, trying to decide where the line between good, bad, and risky would be.
As soon as the two stepped foot out of the establishment, Eric pulled his pack of cigarettes out from his pocket. It was about time, he thought, feeling as though he needed quick relief from the fifteen minutes he was smoke-free.
With his coffee in one hand and the pack in the other, he slid the top open with his thumb and brought the pack to his face, using his mouth to extract a single cigarette, leaving nine left in the pack. In one motion, he slid the pack back into his pocket and exchanged it for a lighter. Just before he lit it, the idea that Zander might be uncomfortable with him smoking occured to him. Holding the lighter with his thumb, ring and pinky fingers, he used his middle and forefinger to take athe cigarette out from in between his lips.
"Do you mind if I..." Eric began, letting his voice trail off. He really didn't know how to ask without sounding like a tool, so he decided to let Zander put the pieces together and give him an answer. He really hoped this part of Eric's person wasn't a deal breaker in their... what? Almost relationship? Eric didn't want to admit this, even to himself, but he really wasn't sure what he would do if Zander ended up being one of those people who were 'turned off', in a sense, by smokers.

"Sophmore year." He said witha shrug answering his question still thinking about something else he could have said, but didn't say because he didn't want to make things wkward, he didn't want his pity. Well maybe he did, and maybe... He shook that thought away. He didn't ned pity from a random cute boy he'd jsut met at starbucks whos name jsut happened to be Eric. Which he found Extremly hot. For some reason it made him think of Prince Eric from the little mermaid.
Again he had to bring himself back to reality, taking another sip of the coffee that was growing colder now, and looking down at the street as they walked to the train station, he paused for a second, comtemplating saying something stupid, but flirty, and seeing where that went, but decided against it. The words that did come out of his mouth however, did not come out as he wanted them to sound.
"I love the taste of smoke," He winked at Eric. Wait that sounded wrong. Not only was it a stupid thing to say, but it sounded like he was dissing him for smoking, Which he wasn't trying to do.
Shoot what do I say now that probably sounded like a mean comment, what do I say While he racked his brain trying to find the right thing to say to make up for his stupid comment, he took another sip of his coffee.
"I mean, I hope you don't taste like smoke..." That wasn't helping any and well he was just making things more awkward. He took a deep breath.
"Just forget I said that, no I don't have a problem with it." He said, feeling flustered, and feeling a blush creeping up his cheeks, he bit down on his bottom lip nervous for a response fomr the boy.
He didn't really have a problem with smoking, people could do it all they wanted, he wasn't going to tlel them to stop, he just wouldn't do it. He wasn't one to judge people though, that whole "Do onto others as you want done to you rule?" Yeah. He didn't like being judged so he had no right to judge Eric, even if he did taste like smoke. Wait who said anything about tasting him. Or even kissing. He was pretty sure Eric was just going to leave now because of the awkwardness he'd just spewed out of his mouth, but he tried to play it cool.
He's probably not even into guys and you just made a comment about tasting him? Who does that? He mentally kicked himself for making that comment. Still keeping his mouth shut probably for the better.

"So you like it here, then?" He must, if he's been coming hear for-- Eric realized then just how much he didn't know about Zander. He must be a senior, right? I mean, he's taller than Eric (which Eric was secretly thrilled over) and... mostly Eric just hoped so because he would definitely be into older men they would probably get along better that way. Yea, that's it.
Whoa. Okay. Zanders comment threw Eric off guard, because he wasn't quite sure how to take the comment, so he lifted both eyebrows at him, hoping to give the same effect a wink would, and then added the half-smirk he used to charm girls for added effect. He kept eye contact as he brought the cigarette to his lips, breaking his gaze finally to light the cigarette. Bending his head down, he used his coffee cup and forearm to shield the flame of his lighter from any possible breeze.
"Oh, don't worry," Eric said, and then took a long drag from his cigarette. He thought this was too cute amusing to let him live it down. Tilting his head up, he blew out, "I'd never smoke too close to a makeout session. I mean," another drag; exhale, "I can stop right now, if you'd like?" His voice didn't imply that he was at all teasing, which to him made it even better/worse. Maybe it would make Zander sweat a little more.
It seemed like as the night progressed, Eric forgot more and more that he cared about what would happen tomorrow. He was all about the now, almost believing that the way he acted tonight would not effect him in the morning. It really allowed him to enjoy himself more, and maybe this would be better in the long run. Not that it ever works out that way, but in the moment it couldn't feel more right to behave in this manner.

Wait what? Zander wasn't sure if Eric was implying he wanted a makeout session or not, but he did. He was still blushing and now he felt himself staring at Eric's lips. Not exactly sure how to respond to that. He looked like he would be a god kisser. Not that he could judge by his lips. His smile though, Zander felt butterflies inside his stomach looking at him.
"Well I was hoping for a little more privacy.." He said, trying to put on a seductive tone, "But..." He raised a brow letting his voice trail off, doing his best even though he was extremly flustered at the moment. Flirting back wasn't as easy as it seemed. Taking yet another sip of his inceasingly cold coffee he rolled the sleeves of his sweat shirt up to his elbows, and looked around for a second. Was that to far?
After all he had been implying that he wanted to make out, and doing it in anobvious way. Maybe this would be a one day thing after all and he would never see Eric again. At the rate things were going he was starting to hope it was because he was not doing a good jod at flirting with him honestly, and he thought if they ever saw each other again he would just embarrass himself even more.
They finally reached the train station (Assuming sorry XD) just in time to make the train, it was croweded as ushual, and Zander wanted to make a comment about how close he was standing to him but it seemed to be his own fault they were so close, When he realized that however, he backed up a little, careful not to bump into a person. That was the last thing he needed. To embarrass himself even more.
"But... Um..." He tried to remember what Eric had asked him before he made the stupid comment.
So you like it here? Trying to hard to get his head away from the thought of a make out session.
"I Always wanted to live here." he said. Partially because Gay marrige is leagal here He stopped himself from making that comment though. His mind was telling him that Eric was joking with him about the makeout session and that he wasn't into him, but he wanted him to be serious, so he didn't listen to the rational part of him.

"I dunno," Eric began, taking a final drag before they reached the transit. He licked his lips and bit down on his bottom lip with his front teeth, thinking about the double-meaning conversation they were having. Because of this he blew the smoke out through his nose, and stole glances at Zander, gnawing at his lip the whole time.
When they made it to the transit, Eric nonchalantly dropped the cigarette butt and ground it out as he walked. "Then I should probably stop now, huh?" he raised his eyebrows and tried to make it seem like he put the cigarette out so they could begin their 'hot sesh', but it really was because smoking is, obviously, illegal on a train. That didn't mean he couldnt play with Zander a little bit though, right? He was having a good time, and it seemed like it was working.... especially when it took a while for Zander to reply to his first question.
"You think you'll stay here after you're done with school, then?" From the sounds of it, Zander could easily be a college student, seeing as though he comes here for school. Eric knew that so did he, and he still went to highschool, but was boarding school really that common of a thing here? It wasn't where he came from. Eric decided to make eyecontanct at the end of his question, not for any particular reason, maybe just for fun, he didn't really know why himself. It just seemed right, so he held his gaze as he drank from his now-lukewarm coffee. He almost forgot he had it on the way here, between his cigarette and the boy next to him, he was quite distracted.

e grinned as Eric put out the cigarette, maybe he was bing a little to hopeful, in the fact that Eric really did want to make out with him. He was hoping that he wasn't just messing with him though because he was falling for him. Making it harder for him to talk like a normal person instead of zoning out and staring at Eric as he spoke. It was a little awkward, but he was imagining kissing him, and he really did look like he'd be a good kisser. "Yeah probably." He shrugged. "I've only got this year left though, and I have no idea what I'm going to do after that."
Get married, move to france? He'd always wanted to go there. Except he spoke zero french, because he couldn't pay attention long enough in class to learn anything and ended up barley passing that class his sohmore year and not continuing it. He suddenly realized exactly how little he knew about this boy he was falling for, making himself an idiot for.
"So where do you go to school?" He asked, keeping the conversation casual, maybe getting to know him a little more, as if he wasn't thinking that he'd never see him again later. Was it possible they went to the same school? Out of all the schools in New York Zander found himself doubting that.

The turn to a norman, single-meaning conversation was a nice, yet sort of unexpected shift. That's not to say that Eric didn't enjoy it-- he was glad to get to learn more about the boy he was flirting with. He was sure now that Zander was a highschool senior, which was a huge relief for Eric-- they were in the same grade. Eric felt himself give Zander the up-down glance, checking his company out without even realizing it at first, and he wasn't completely sure if he cared whether or not Zander noticed-- The boy was a dime, after all.
"Somerset? I dunno if you've heard of it... I enrolled this year. Honestly, I tried to get farther away from my hometown, but this was the nicest one we could afford, so my parents chose it over one in, lets say, Idaho or something." He shrugged and let out a sigh, "So here I am. I mean, I guess its my parents fault im here with you, though, huh?" Eric finished his sentance, along with his coffee, and slid his free hand into his front pocket. "I've no idea what I'm going to do after highschool either, though...What about you, where do you go?" Eric asked, feeling like he had been talking about himself a lot tonight.
It wasn't until Eric stopped talking, that he noticed the amount of people around him, and it made hi, feel extra hot and stuffy. He wasn't clostrophobic, but it definitely made him with he could light another cigarette to calm his nerves. To distract his brain, he decided to think about Zander, maybe possibly in ways he knew he shouldn't, but that was the easiest, best-working distraction he could think of.

"Well it's not a bad thing... That you're here. With me " He finished his sentence by looking at Eric, and Grinning when he added the words, with me.
"I guess parents are useful for something after all." He said wth a small laugh, pausing for a second to think about what he was saying.
"Other then you know... Making you." He joked, looking at Eric, he bit his lower lip, unsure of what to say next.Wait did he say he went to Somerset? Zandee almost wanted to ask him to repeat himself, but he didn't.
"Yeah I've heard of it." He said, a grin appearing on his face, he was excited by the fact that he'd get to see Eric again, but he tried to lay it off.
"I heard it was a pretty good school." He said, joking. Well it was a good school if you didn't count all the teen pregnancies.... And kids getting arrested for posting child pornography, and car accidents... Among other things. Not wanting to think about it though, he looked back up at Eric.
"I mean I like it there." He said, not fully telling him that he went to the school, he hinted at it instead trying to seem mysterious, and a little less excited about the fact that he went to the same school, and would have a chance to gwt to know Eric.

"Uh," Eric laughed, pushing his bangs back, "Thanks. They did a pretty good job, yea?" He winked at Zander, knowing he probably should lay off of the flirty gestures. But the fact of the matter was, once Eric convinced himself that what happened tonight wouldn't matter after he got back to his dorm, it was hard for him to stop.
"It's that like... really exciting, or something?" Eric was kind of thrown by Zander's reaction after hearing what school Eric went to. Maybe it wasn't that great of a school? Was if funny that he went there or maybe he went to a school near there. What if it was, like, his rival school or something? All of these thoughts ran through Eric's brain while he tried to figure out what Zander's reaction meant.
It was then when Eric noticed the stop they had just halted at was the stop before the one he needed to get off of. "Hey, uh, Zander?" He took his hand out from his pocket and rubbed the back of his neck, "You know... I was wondering if I could get your number? I dunno, my stops next..." Eric stopped himself before he started nervously rambling. He really wished he would have been able to make that seem cooler and sly, but the words just kind of fell out of his mouth in this weird, jumbled mess... at least they came out, though. After he asked, it hit him that if Zander was to give him his number, everything that was said this evening actually mattered now, and slowly parts of him regretted his actions, even though there were not that many to regret.

"Well I'd say yeah," he said, raising a brow at Eric. He looked diwn at his lap, fir a moment."I..." He started. He wanted to tell him he went to that school, but he didn't want to say it now. It might havebeen obvious by the fact that they gotoff at the same stop, but Zander figured he would deal with that when it came up.
Suprised that Eric had even asked for his number. He nodded. "Yeah." He said, a grin creeping onto his face. He searched his pocket for pen. Not realizing it would be easier for him to just put his number into Eric's phone and be done with it. Instead he turned to the woman behind him.
"Excuse me," he said. "Do you have a pen?" He asked her. She rolledher eyes, digging a pen from her bag and handing it to Zander.
"Thanks." He said with a fake grin on his lips. Taking the pen from her so he could write his number on Eric's arm. He grabbed his arm, but before writing on it he looked up at Eric.
"Do you mind?" He asked.
