Addison was beyond stoked for free food. It wasn’t just free food though, it was Ed’s Diner, free food. Huge difference. She couldn’t help but let out a good chested laugh at his comment. “I’m sure we can arrange that,” she jested back with an elbow nudge. It was easy to joke around with him, which was always good. She’d joke around him regardless, but it was just more fun when it was mutual. Mutual things were always the best.
She tapped a finger on her chin in thought as she responded,” me? Let’s see…” She took a moment, as if she couldn’t think of anything, and she almost couldn’t. “I live on campus. Um, my father works overseas, so I don’t see him often. I like to be outside, especially hiking. I don’t have a job, but feel free to change that. ,”she said with a dorky smile,” and sorry if I’m a little weird, can’t help it!” She was a peculiar girl indeed. “I also really like a chocolate and a good hamburger… wait not together,” she added,” but I wish I hadn’t said that. Now I’m hungry.”

My father works overseas, so I don’t see him often. Archie was paying attention to everything Addison was saying, of course, but that sentence really stuck out to him. It was the most serious thing he'd heard Addison say. Archie didn't see much of his father either, but he'd neglected to mention that. Though it was a touchy subject, maybe he could talk about it some other time.
'Overseas huh?', Archie asked, 'Like, whereabouts? You go visit him often?', he hoped he wasn't prying.

Addison raised a brow as he commented on her given information about her father. How strange that it was the most interesting thing. It wasn’t a touchy subject, but who didn’t get lonely talking about someone you couldn’t see often. “Over the ocean yonder,” she joked pushing her hair out of her face. She tried to make the conversation light, she didn’t want to get emotional about anything. She was, after all, the girl who never stopped smiling. Except when she was alone. Alone was when she realized just how lonely she was. She didn’t need someone to make her feel wanted, that wasn’t the reason. Sometimes company was just nice to have.
“He works for this large corporation,” she informed him,” They relocated him to the office in London. He didn’t want to pull me out of school, so here I am.” She tried to pass it off nonchalantly, as though it was common knowledge. It was simple facts, things she had grown to accept and understand. “I get to visit him sometimes,” she turned her head toward him,” Is once a month often?” That one weekend visit was the best time though.
