Archie was about to say that Addison looked nice, sparkly uggs or no sparkly uggs her outfit was practical, and that was good enough to him. It wasn't like he was a fashion expert, he was wearing mostly hand-me-downs. Archie's compliment never made it out because Addison was asking if he had any plans for the rest of the day. Did he? No. Not really, he'd planned on just hanging around until he saw someone he wanted to speak to, and well, that had already happened.
'I didn't have anything planned really. Kind of wanted to explore a bit maybe?', Archie replied, making himself sound unsure because he really just wanted to do whatever Addison wanted to do, he'd found himself a friend ... A very pretty friend, and he wanted to stick with her as long as she didn't find him strange or annoying.

Addison looked up excited when he mentioned exploring. "You want to explore?" She repeated for clarification," that's what I was gonna do! " This level of excitement wasn't unusual for her as she was usually a very peppy goofy girl at heart. She couldn't help it, and with a new friend she was ready to take on the world. "Could we explore together?" She asked with hopeful eyes. It was nice not to be alone for once, physically. What a nice surprise this trip had turned out to be.
She knelt down by her bag and pulled out a map, something she had grabbed before coming. It was always a good idea just in case the phones went out. "I've never been in this part of the woods so I have no idea what's out there," she said tapped a slender finger against her chin. She was practically bouncing off the walls in her mind. "How long did you wanna be out for?" She asked, looking up from her map to him. She wanted to know what she should bring, light or a little more Cautionary.

'Yeah we can explore together', Archie laughed, he was tickled by Addison's enthusiasm. They were only woods after all. It was very doubtful there would be anything cool hidden amongst those trees, but who was he to spoil the fun? Besides maybe the woods were haunted, that would be awesome.
'Ive never been in these woods either, so lets say ... I don't know, less that four hours?', Archie really wasn't sure what sort of time frame Addison was hoping for. Four hours seemed like a very long time to Archie, but in exploring time that could be next to nothing.

Addison couldn’t help but smile when he laughed. She found it quite enjoyable, something she didn’t usually even notice. For a moment she wondered if he found her weird, which most people did. She had a tendency to do things without thinking about it. People usually found it quite amusing, though she never did anything for the sake of seeking others’ approval. She did what made her happy, and joking around just happened to be in her personality. Friendly never hurt, right?
Woods weren’t usually that eventful, but she had quite the imagination when it came to things. She could pretend she was exploring uncharted territory, as childish as it sounded. She didn’t care, young at heart meant the real key to immortality. “Less than four hours, eh?” she said pulling out a smaller pack she used for small distance hikes. It was always smart to pack for even the shortest of trips. You never know what can happen out in the woods. “Four hours should be plenty of time,” she said standing up and slinging the backpack over her shoulder,” unless we get lost.” She couldn’t help but wink at him, surely he could take a good joke.
It was obvious that she wasn’t trying to get lost. Addison was usually good at these sort of things, but getting lost was definitely not on her to do list. Exploring safely was always the goal. Plus, she wasn’t trying to make a fool of herself and get lost with this hunk. Or maybe she was? Eh, being lost wasn’t exactly the mood setter she was looking for. Yes, better to be not lost at all. “Ready when you are!” she said with a grand smile. The adventure was just waiting out there for them.

'Yeah, I'm ready to go', Archie replied, gesturing at himself as if he had all the things he could ever need. Truth was he had a half eaten power bar in his pocket and his cell phone. It was pretty easy to tell Archie was not an experienced hiker, and he even knew himself that he wasn't as prepared as Addison. Still, what sort of adventure would it be without some peril? Atchie could provide the peril and Addison could use her hiking know-how to save the day. It was perfect!
'I'll be good like this', he assured her with a determined nod as he strode off in to the trees.

Addison raised a brow as she eyed him up and down and how he was ready to go. “Alright, well let’s go then!” She turned on her heel and followed him into the trees. The girls were still struggling with their tents and she let out a soft chuckle under her breath at the sight of them. Sure, she wasn’t looking exactly fabulous, but she was definitely super comfortable and ready for anything. She quickened her pace till Archie was next to her. She’d gone on plenty of dates or just simply hung out with guys, but beings able to go out into the woods and just explore was just too much fun!
The terrain wasn’t too rough, and the trees provided a nice canopy. The air was crisp and fresh. Addison let out a sigh of relaxation as she took in the beautiful scenery. This was why she liked hiking, but the simple things were breath taking. She wanted to get up as high as possible to look over the surroundings. With the smile she turned her head to look at Archie. He really was an attractive person, and behind his cool exterior she was sure he had a back story.
It surprised Addison that she’d never really introduced herself before this. She was the kind of girl to literally go out of her way to make friends or offer a friendly smile. Archie seemed like the kind of guy who needed a friend, not someone who just hung around, but a real friend. “So Archie,” she started,” tell me a little bit about yourself.” It sounded a little strange, but she was all about getting to know people, and he was definitely someone she wanted to know.

It was nice, just walking. At School Archie didn't really go outside too much. Between classes he usually hung out in the cafeteria, because he lived in an always hungry state. Reminded of that fact Archie patted at his pocket, that power bar wasn't much to look forward to.
'You want to know about me?', Archie asked looking a little taken a back, he wasn't used to being asked so directly to talk about himself, 'Okay then...', he paused to think. There wasn't much to say.
'Well, I'm seventeen, a Junior. I live in the city with my big brother Mikey and his fiancée. We've got a black cat called Salem, like from Sabrina, you know?', he laughed slightly, 'Um ... I work at this diner just down the street from School, you know Ed's?', he shrugged, 'Wanna know more?', though he didn't know what else he would say exactly.

Addison had always been a blunt and direct girl whenever she spoke. She didn’t exactly care what rolled off her tongue, or put any thought into what she really wanted to say. She simply wanted to get to know her new found friend, or he really was just an acquaintance. Sharing simple details was really what made it the next step to actually being classified as friends. Addison stole a quick glance to her side toward Archie, not minding if they ever were to become more than friends.
“Oh, I adored that show,” she said ducking under a branch slightly, even though there was no way she was going to hit it to begin with. She was a rather short girl, but what she lacked in height, she made up with her incredibly large heart. Addison could be one of the most compassionate people out there if you pulled at her heart strings. It really wasn’t that hard to do, really.
She stopped in her tracks and stared in disbelief at the male. “You work at Ed’s?!” she almost shouted,” I love Ed’s!” It was strange that she’d never seen him work there. Maybe she was just unlucky with her times and went on days he was off. “I’ll have to go there sometime when you’re working. Hook me up with some food!” she joked, her raspy laugh crisp in the air. She quite enjoyed chatting it up with Archie, quite the amusing fellow. “Of course I wanna know more. There’s your driver’s license number, your medical history, criminal history, and your social,” she said, trying to hold a straight face until a laugh broke her stern exterior,” I kid, I kid!”

Archie laughed, 'I can probably hook you up with some free food if you stopped by when I was working, but the other stuff, well, you'll probably have to get me drunk for those', he joked, glancing over at Addison and smirking. Honestly he never expected people to understand when he was joking, so he usually had to check to see if they were smiling. Sometimes people would be giving him weird looks. Addison, well, she hadn't stopped smiling since the moment he'd met her, so it looked like all was well.
'Uh, what about you, what's your story?', Archie asked.

Addison was beyond stoked for free food. It wasn’t just free food though, it was Ed’s Diner, free food. Huge difference. She couldn’t help but let out a good chested laugh at his comment. “I’m sure we can arrange that,” she jested back with an elbow nudge. It was easy to joke around with him, which was always good. She’d joke around him regardless, but it was just more fun when it was mutual. Mutual things were always the best.
She tapped a finger on her chin in thought as she responded,” me? Let’s see…” She took a moment, as if she couldn’t think of anything, and she almost couldn’t. “I live on campus. Um, my father works overseas, so I don’t see him often. I like to be outside, especially hiking. I don’t have a job, but feel free to change that. ,”she said with a dorky smile,” and sorry if I’m a little weird, can’t help it!” She was a peculiar girl indeed. “I also really like a chocolate and a good hamburger… wait not together,” she added,” but I wish I hadn’t said that. Now I’m hungry.”
