[Tyler Parker]

<sup>'Yeah that's probably a good idea', Tyler replied, 'Run for the hills', he added under his breath as his overly emotional mother reached their table and flung her arms around Tyler, to which Tyler replied with a loud groaning noise and some protesting. Before Lina even had a chance to move Jennifer Parker was upon her like a shark on a baby seal, she threw her arms around her and gave her a big squeeze.

'Lina honey, thank you so much for looking after Violet, you've been such a super star, oh, God bless you sweetheart', Mrs Parker pulled back from the hug, her hand placed firmly on Lina's shoulders, holding her in place as the looked at her, 'Oh Tyler sweetie, you've got yourself one beautiful girl right here .... Speaking of which, Violet!', and with that Mrs Parker was fussing over her grand-daughter and Tyler was just stood in shock, his mother was like a hurricane of hugs and smiles.

'I'm fine thanks mom, yeah, thanks for asking', he muttered with a smile on his face, he knew that his mother hadn't asked about the hospital because it would only make her upset, and he was fine with not talking about it.</sup>

[Lina Rey Parson]

She had been this close to escaping awkward social interactions! Yet here came Tyler's mother, hugs and smiles at the ready. It was actually cute, and sweet of her to thank her for taking care of Violet. "It was no problem, really." She assured her, grinning. Well, that went over well. She was sort of expecting someone a bit more hard core, bad-ass looking like Tyler, maybe. Actually, she didn't know what she was expecting, but Tyler's mother was a pleasant surprise.

<sup>It took a little while but soon enough Tyler and Lina were waving goodbye to Tyler's mom and Violet, who was till asleep. Tyler would have liked to say a real goodbye to her whilst she was awake, but he didn't have the heart to wake her up, she looked too cute.

Within the next five minutes Tyler and Lina were eating pizza, and Tyler had a somewhat euphoric look on his face.
'This is the best pizza ever', he said between bites, and he was probably exaggerating, but he didn't care.</sup>

The pizza was pretty good. Not the best she's ever had, but Lina figured it would suffice. Not to mention they gave them mushroom sauce and garlic sauce. "The way to my heart is with mushroom sauce on good New York style pizza." She sighed, biting into her second slice. "It's good pizza, I agree." She said, chewing slowly. She had to remember she was in the presence of a guy so... chew with your mouth closed and try not to totally pig out. Swallowing, she cleared her throat and took a sip of her soda. "So, what do we need to do, to prepare for Vi's first Christmas?"

<sup>'Good question', Tyler replied, finishing up his slice of pizza and wiping his mouth on the sleeve of the lost and found jacket he was wearing, 'I guess just presents, Christmas decorations ... I'll need to go food shopping closer to the time', he sighed and frowned, trying to think if there was anything else he needed to buy. No wonder his parents were always so stressed out at Christmas time and they had three kids.

'I think I might be thinking this is easier than it is', Tyler said looking up at Lina, a little worriedly, he just wanted this Christmas to be perfect. Like, greetings card picture perfect.</sup>

Lina nodded as he listed things off. Gifts, of course, were important. Those, and decorations, too. She wondered if they would get a Christmas tree, or buy a fake one, or maybe even make one. She knew how to make a really cool Christmas-tree-thing with lights and a hoola hoop. That might be fun for Violet, but she probably wouldn't remember it years later... Oh well.

"Don't worry, you have me!" Lina assured him, resting a hand on his shoulder with a smile. "I'm sure it's not going to be easy but we can totally pull it off. I'm sure I've got Christmas decorations in a box somewhere. I don't have lights, but I think I have like, tree ornaments and stuff. Mine are glass though, so we might want to get plastic ornaments for Violet to play with..." she mused, getting up to throw away the pizza box. "I'm sure we can find most of the stuff here. Shall we?"

<sup>'Yeah, let's hit it!', Tyler replied standing and then tripping over the bottom of his jeans, which were far too long for him, 'First I'm going to need a new outfit'.

'I feel so much hotter now', Tyler announced as he walked out of the mens bathroom and did a little spin for Lina who was waiting outside. Now he felt like himself, no more old smelly lost property clothes. The clothes were actually sat on the floor of a stall in the bathroom, as he hadn't really known what to do with them.

'I guess we should go baby shopping first', he said as he walked over to Lina and took her hand in his, 'You understand this will make it look like we have a baby together, right?', he smirked.</sup>

Lina waited, leaning against the wall to the bathroom until he emerged, looking hot, as per usual. Seeing him back in his normal clothes made her grin. It made her forget that he had ever gotten shot, that there had ever been a bad time. It made her genuinely smile, just because she felt happy to be with him. "You look a lot better, no offense or anything." She said, flashing another grin. The skinny jeans were definitely a plus over the baggy used pants he had been wearing - but she wasn't just going to tell him that. That might be weird.

Walking hand in hand felt right to Lina. Their fingers intertwined perfectly, like the laces on a pair of shoes or something. Their hands just sort of fit, if that made sense. "Yeah, I know," she replied, shrugging. Honestly, it didn't bother her now. If people wanted to judge them based on something they knew nothing about, then go ahead. She couldn't stop them, and she didn't care to explain anything to ignorant, prejudiced fools. "I don't mind it. It kind of feels like we have a baby together. I mean," she quickly amended herself. "I don't want to like, replace Violet's mom or anything, I just really feel like I'm part of your little family now... if that's okay."

She smiled up at him, bumping her shoulder to his. "But on another note, if people think I'm currently pregnant, I'll be a little annoying. I mean, I don't think I look pregnant." She looked down at her stomach. She wasn't really that chubby or anything, she just had a wonderfully curvy and womanly figure. She poked at her midsection. "Nope, that's all food there, no children." She joked, hoping to get a laugh from him.

<sup>Tyler would have said something about wishing that Lina was Violet's mom, but he was worried that would sound bad. Violet's real mom wasn't a bad person, but he wasn't fond of her. It would be nice to still be with the mother of his child, but it wasn't meant to be, and he wasn't one to dwell on things like that.

When Lina mentioned something about looking pregnant Tyler glanced over at her stomach and shook his head, 'You don't even look a little bit pregnant', he replied, thinking about how strange a compliment that was, but yeah, it was definitely a compliment. 'If you were then I think I'd be a little bit sad, because well, first off it wouldn't be my baby and that would be a bummer ... Not that I want a baby with you ... Right ... Now ... Uh', Tyler laughed nervously and adjusted his hat, 'And um, secondly you'd be all angry and hormonal, and that sucks'. Nice save Tyler. Nice. Save.</sup>

Lina smiled as they headed closer to the store with toys and such. Baby things more than maternity stuff. She didn't really see the sign, she just noticed all the toys and stuff. There was a bit of a knot in her chest at the thought of being a mother. If there was any child who she would want to be a mom to, that would be Violet. She was the sweetest little baby, and totally adorable. Maybe some day... no, don't get to ahead of yourself, Lina.

She chuckled a bit when he corrected his little word mistakes. She knew what he meant - it was kind of really flattering. They had been together for a few months now. Of course, she didn't want a baby just yet, but still, she wouldn't want anyone else to be the father of her child. Ooh, that sounded odd. She just really liked him - but they hadn't even done "it" yet so it didn't matter, did it? "Yeah, it would suck to be pregnant." She laughed. "But then again, I'd have an excuse to eat a lot of food. Yumm."
