It was a Tuesday night, the air chilled and the skies cloudy. Warren was out patrolling for his next tag spot on the corner of 37th and Douglas. There wasn't much here and it was on a pretty bad part of town so he knew he would have to keep an eye out for cops and gang members, this was New York after all. He was just wearing black skinny jeans, a light blue DC tee, and a dark grey zip-up jacket. He had his hood up over the white snapback he had on in case someone was to see his face. Warren retrieved the can of black spray paint from his backpack and cautiously began on the outline.

Canceled. Charlie couldn't believe it. All week she'd been looking forward to this gig and she'd shown up at the venue to see a big sign on the door saying it was canceled due to band illness! It was fair to say that Charlie was disappointed. On top of all that she couldn't work out which bus it was to get back to the School so she was walking, and it was cold.
The neighborhood she found herself in was unfamiliar and it didn't look good, but Charlie pressed on. What else could she do? None of the people she saw walking the streets looked like the type of people to ask for directions. As she turned a corner she heard the faint hissing of spray paint and she looked around cautiously, unable to see where the noise was coming from at first. Then, spotting the person doing the spray painting, she let out a squeak and jumped away, as he was closer than she'd expected.

Warren could hear someone coming up behind him, but when he turned to look they didn't look anything of a threat. He stopped humming and took out his ear buds just in case, one couldn't ever be too careful around these parts, especially at night. He continued with his painting though, not even thinking twice about that portion. Did she not see him standing there or was she just going to plow right through? Quietly he cleared his throat which sent her jumping back, which in turn, made him jump as well and creating a big black streak across his paint job. "Damn lady," He hissed, not being able to see her face completely. "What're you trying to do? Give me a heart attack?" He set the can down on the ground and pulled his hood down.

'I could say the same to you!', Charlie cried, and then she noticed the guy had pulled his hood down, and even in the murky light she could tell it was Warren. After all, she'd seen him in similar light before. 'Oh ... Warren', Charlie wasn't sure what else to say, she let out a sigh of relief. For a moment she had been really scared, after all, she was in a bad neighborhood, at night time, alone. There wasn't much to be not be scared of.
'I'm sorry I ruined your painting', she apologized sincerely, trying to make out what it was in the darkness.

Her voice was all too familiar, even if he was used to it in a slightly different pitch. "Charlie?" He asked, taking a step closer. Warren hadn't noticed how shadowed he was standing in the spot with a broken light and he imagined how much of a heart attack he'd just given her. "I'm sorry I startled you." He said after she apologized for ruining his painting, which she hadn't, it was just out of boredom. "Y'know? I think it looks better like that." He chuckled, offering his arm for her to lock with. "Why are you out here so late? Even if you are pretty kick ass, you shouldn't walk alone." He smiled to her, grabbing his bag and slinging it over his free shoulder.
