Full Name: Reagan Archibald Cantor
Age: Seventeen years old, July 8
Gender: Male
Grade: Junior, 11th
Sports/Clubs: Mathletes, Soccer
Appearance: he's fine tbh
Personality: Before Reagan moved to the United States, he was a really humble and worldly person. He had the level of understanding higher than most adults did. However, when he was reeled in by three folk, he began to change. His looks and charming attitude allowed him to climb up the ladder and feel different.
His humility turned into arrogance and he was left with absolutely nothing. The guys that once were his friends looked down upon him because he was in a way, thinking highly of himself. Sure, Reagan is beautiful but that doesn't mean he could treat people the way he had at the time of his demise. His friends leaving him made him reflect on a few things. His attitude for one was very bad and he knew he had to change that.
Reagan's personality before coming to Somerset was a very likeable one. He never really got to show it because he went up to the space when he was only so close to Earth. He's looking for a second chance. Reagan isn't hated by all but he's not seen as a likable person because of past faults. He's just trying to repair his mistakes, that's all.
Background: Annalise Hepburn was an animal behavior student in the University of Harvard who was on a year round trip in South Africa. She was filming a documenting the way animals behaved in the Kalahari desert. During her trip she met Edward Cantor, a young mathematics teacher who had just graduated from Oxford University in England. They dated for a brief time, while Anna was stationed in South Africa until the day she left leaving Eddie brokenhearted. They had fallen in love. While in Boston, Anna couldn't keep Eddie out of her mind. It had just been a week that she had left Africa and she missed him dearly. As much as she wanted to return and claim her Eddie, she had to set her priorities straight and finish school. Anna graduated Harvard and flew to Africa to reunite with Eddie. They had kept in contact writing letters to one another and when she stopped writing to him, Eddie had lost hope. He didn't think he could ever fall in love with anyone else. However, Anna had stopped writing to him because she was planning her trip to Africa during that time. Eddie's surprise was seeing Anna standing by his classroom door. They both greeted each other with joyful faces and both astounded that they had lived a love story that only happened in movies.
Annalise and Edward married and a year later they had a baby boy who they named Reagan Archibald. Archibald for Edward's great-great grandfather who fought in the first world war and obtained several badges. He felt it would be honorable and Anna agreed with him. She had chosen the name Reagan, anyways. The couple stayed in South Africa because Eddie's job and absolutely couldn't leave it so soon. Anna found a job, too. She set up her camera and made documentaries with the Animal Planet network. Even after being married, it was truly a dream coming true.
Reagan learned in the same school were his father taught. He was always friendly with his classmates and learned at their pace which was a fast one to say the least. He learned both English and Zhosa language at a very young age to communicate around the continent and to communicate with his parents and relatives who came to visit occasionally. When the Cantor's moved from Africa, it was a bittersweet leave. Eddie felt nostalgic but he was happy that he taught as many kids as he could and that person taking his place would also be of good use. Both Anna and Reagan, who was thirteen, would miss the continent itself and the friends they had made.
The United States was very confusing. To Reagan's surprise, most kids were extremely advanced in many ways. He was completely lost and he couldn't find a place to fit in. Until he met Aubrey, Leo and Mark. Three guys that seemed to be pretty good natured and honest people. Reagan felt somewhat relieved that he was approached first or he would have never really made any friends. He was just so, as Leo would like to put it deprived from everything. Reagan was just astonished by the group. Especially Aubrey who already had a daughter with another girl his age. It scared him, to be quite frank. However, he didn't question nor criticize him. He was so very kind and he seemed to have a thing for baking him stuff. Why bite the hand that baked him such delicious goods?
Individually, Reagan learned many things. He even learned how to dress and talk like as if he was born and raised in the USA! It was a high too high for him, it was so soon. He suddenly became this lying, phony womanizer that neither Aubrey, Leo or Mark could handle. Reagan would sometimes throw the three of them under a bus to save himself, metaphorically speaking, of course. But Leo wouldn't very much doubt that Reagan would literally throw one of them under a bus. It was sad leaving Reagan to fend for his own but the three were not left with any other choice. Maybe if they left him alone to reflect on his acting, he would change?
Reagan was left stripped. Without friends, without anything. It was as if he had never existed and it scared him. It took him a while to admit it was his own very fault. After that, he re-joined the mathletes and began changing up and making up for his mistakes.
