Elise got the studio early to prep for the intensive. So many people had called the studio to sign up for the intensive. It covered basic technique and then a quick jazz and contemporary routine. The dancers could then opt to join in for a legs and feet class where they learned even better technique and became more aware of their feet then they would end the night learning a hip hop routine. The dancers could pay extra to stay after studio hours to just talk and bond over their common love of dance, or they could go home and eat. If Elise wasn't teaching the event, she would have opted to go out to eat food and then head home, but she had to host the meeting and make sure it was bouncing along. Elise ran through the choreography she had created one last time before beginning to stretch. The intensive would start soon so Elise got up and turned on some piano classical music to get everyone ready and started. Elise smiled at the first girl to walk in and motioned for her to line up her dance bag by the mirrors. Elise continued stretching and the other girl joined in, more and more people came into the large studio. Elise was very pleased with the turn out and many of the people that showed up she knew because they were on the studio's dance company with her, some of her friends from her high school dance team even showed up, and then there were countless new dancers who Elise had never met before. The studio had really gotten the word out on this intensive. Elise was an exceptional dancer for her age. She wasn't THE best in the world, but she was one of the best in her studio. She had really good expression of emotion, amazing technique, great lines, and she could memorize and pick up on choreography after the first run through. She also had passion for dance which really helped her excel in her skill. ooc; Outfit;; www.polyvore.com/dance_stuff/set?id=80138493

"Kenix, drive faster! I'm gonna be late!" she said impatiently. "Do you want to make it there alive or not?" he retorted. Being only fourteen, it was no surprise that Elodie had to ask her older brother to take her places. He really didn't mind at all-- Kenix loved to see his baby sister pursue and enjoy the things that she loved. However, he was only the driver, so her tardiness was none other than her own fault. With two minutes to spare, she managed to enter the studio, giving a cheesy smile to everyone present before setting her backpack down. Elodie didn't have an actual dance bag, nor was she entirely sure that she wore the appropriate shoes. Even though she loved to dance, she didn't have the time to commit to a team. Elodie was already spreading herself thin with gymnastics, martial arts, tennis, and track. Still, she wouldn't spend her free time anywhere else but here. What a small world. Right away, Elodie recognized Elise as a junior from her school. That meant she was in Kenix's grade, which also meant that the two of them had never spoken before. Elodie discretely marveled at her instructor for the day. She studied her body structure and the way Elise carried herself. She loved watching people who were good at doing what they love. (OOC: that came out kinda creepy. anyways www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=80143119 )

Elise watched the last student come in two minutes before the class was about to start. Usually, a good dancer arrived at least fifteen minutes before the class to stretch, but everyone had lives and Elise could understand that. Elise recognized the girl who had just come in, her name was...Ellie? Elodie? Something like that, she went to Elise's boarding school. Elise observed her outfit, the shoes were good for hip hop, but they wouldn't get her anywhere for the jazz routine or the technique class. Ellie hyper-extended her left, right, and center splits one last time before getting up. She addressed the class loudly. "Good evening everyone!" She said with a large smile, "I'm so glad you all could make it out here tonight! We've got a great class planned. First, warm up and stretching. Then a technique class, then the choreography for a jazz/contemporary routine choreographed by yours truly, then we'll have another leg and feet class--which you can either take part in or spend time on the other half of the studio rehearsing the jazz/contemporary routine, then we'll learn the hip hop routine. At the end of that, I'll put you into groups of three or four so you can perform both routines in front of everyone else. If you request or need it, I can perform it with you, or give you reminders. After that, you can either stay and hang out for a bit or go home. Whichever option you paid for, if you purchased option A you hang out and we can all talk about what we want to do with dance, if we want to make it into a career and just bond, etc; if you bought option B you can't stay after hours and you can go get food and eat." Elise was already tired of talking. "Okay, enough with the talk. everyone take off your shoes and we'll have a ten minute warm-up. We'll regroup and start the technique class at 6:30." Elise turned on some different, livelier music and began to walk around the class observing everyone's strengths and weaknesses. She talked to some of her dance team and dance company friends as well as welcomed the newbies. Eventually, Elise made her way over to Elodie. "Hey," she said with another smile as she sat down and began to stretch again. "It's nice to see you here. You go to my school don't you? Freshman right?" Elise was glad she had found another girl who liked dance, and she was trying to make friendly conversation. She had ten minutes to kill, and she could stretch and talk at the same time.

A chill ran down her spine as Elodie listened attentively to Elise's instructions. It was a mix of nerves and excitement. She was excited to learn the first routine, but she was nervous because it wasn't hip hop, which was one of her strengths when it came to dancing. Still, Elodie was always eager to learn something new. After all, how do you know if you like or don't like something unless you try it out first, right?
Once Elise had finished her announcements, Elodie walked over to the mirrored wall where she'd previously left her backpack. She took her shoes off by stepping on the heel of one shoe with the toe end of the other and did the same for the remaining shoe. Her socks didn't match today, but when did they ever? It seemed that the washing machine and the dryer were a tag team duo that just loved to swallow up her socks.
Elodie looked up from where she sat on the floor to stretch when Elise spoke to her. "Hi," she said timidly. Although she loved to make new friends, Elodie was rather shy. "Yes," she nodded. "To both," she added, remembering Elise had asked her two questions. "Um, my brother is a junior. Maybe you know him? His name is Kenix Adler," she asked hopefully, trying to continue the conversation.

Elise smiled again as she stretched her center splits, she could lie comfortably with her upper body touching the floor all the way, but she was having a conversation so she propped her head on one arm and looked at Elodie. She was really pretty. She listened to Elodie's responses with honest interest, Elise wasn't going to feign interest, and she always wanted to get to know someone who danced and went to her school.
"I've definitely heard of him, but there are so many people that I probably pass him by in the hallway every day and don't even realize it's him. I'll just look for someone that looks related to you next time." Elise said with a chuckle. "So Elodie, what is your favorite style of dance and how's your freshman year going for you so far?" Elise switched out of her center and rolled onto her stomach, she grabbed her legs and stretched out her back creating a doughnut shape with her body; after a few minutes she sat criss-cross on the floor, she had stretched plenty, and wanted to focus her attention on talking to Elodie. Elise had a ton of questions she could potentially ask Elodie since they seemed to be getting along so well, she though Ellie would be a cute nickname for her, which she could bring up if they ever got to be better friends. Dance was always such a great opportunity to meet others and bond.
Elise looked around the studio while still paying attention to Elodie. She did have a class to teach, she saw that most everyone was just about done stretching and it was almost 6:30, she'd give everyone three more minutes before starting the technique class.
