When Vallery returned the kiss, Dave fought to keep his eyes closed through it. He hadn't at all expected her to actually kiss him. He thought maybe she'd turn away like most of the other girls did that he actually sort of liked. He had a tendency to bring in stupid sluts. And anyone that he actually liked.. usually never liked him back. So this? This was different.
It ended, though, and Dave found himself following her lips. "No," he said with a smile when she asked if she shouldn't have done that. "No, no its okay. I hoped you would." But just like that, Dave snapped his head back tot he wall and looked around. "Holy shit I'm.. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have kissed you without asking. Fuck. I'm so sorry." Why was he apologizing? He wasn't at all sure. But he also wasn't sure why he thought kissing her would be a good idea.
But wow, was it a great kiss. Even if it had only last a few seconds. It was gentle, sweet, and it definitely had meaning. He felt it.

Vallery offered a sweet smile when he said he didn't mind. Yet he leaned back, and she frowned, mclnfused. "Wat do you mean? I kissed you - 94 at least, I met you half way there. No big deal, I mean... I am in your lap and all... A kiss was called for." She resisted the urge to giggle like a school girl. She could feel it in her stomach, that warm ball of relaxation and happiness. She hadn't kissed someone that she liked - really liked - in months. kissing Dave felt.. Good, like it was just meant to happen. Sure, it was unexpected, but at the same time, you had to guess it was coming. Slowly, as not to startle him, she moved so that she was straddling him and put her hands on his chest, then leaned in for another soft, slow kiss. "I hope that wasn't too bold of me." She said when she pulled away.

Dave was a bit shocked when Vallery shifted to where her legs were over his and her hands were against his chest. And when that second kiss came, his eyes were wide as it ended. Shaking his head, a smirk cracked up the side of his face and he whispered a "no, it was great" before reaching his hands up to either side of her face and pulling her closer.
Now, he hadn't necessarily meant to make out with her. That may or may not have been an accident. But either way, it happened. And when he finally let go of her face, he couldn't help but smile. But quickly, Dave shook the grin from his face and frowned. "I'm sorry," he said, closing his eyes. "You were just.. you were being sweet about it and I fucking horndogged the shit out of it. You can like.. you can hit me or something if you want. I dunno man."
Dave couldn't help but apologize. He didn't want this to end up like his past relationships. He didn't want to move so fast with a girl he was only just becoming friends with. And he certainly didn't want to lose her so fast. That would ruin him.

When Vallery had decided to come to this party, she expected a lame little get together. Maybe some truth or dare or drinking. Never did she expect to be straddling a guy on the roof, sucking face for a good four or five minutes. When their lips parted for a third time, she grinned at him. So he approved of her kisses - that made her happy, to say the least. That warmth she fel tbefore was growing stronger, likè a fire in her belly, urging her to keep kissing him. She began to thik of it as her pent up romantic side that was dying to see some good coupłe-y romance.
When he started apologizing she just rolled her eyes. "Would you stop that?" She whined, leaning in to. Plant w kids on his jaw, nuzzling her face into the side of his neck. "You don't have to apologize for something we both find joy in," she murmured. Then, she pulled her face up and mimicked his previous movement, putting her hands on his face. "Shut up and let me kiss yu." She laughed, leaning in. "You're such a weirdo."

When the kissing finished (again), Dave put his head back and tilted it to the side, looking at her with a slight smirk. "I'm confused," he said, chuckling a bit under his breath. Shaking his head, he closed his eyes and said, "So you're okay with kissing me? I don't think I even know your last name!" He said the last part quite dramatically, just for effect, because he actually did know her last name. I mean, he sat next to her in physics. He'd obviously watched her write her name across the top a couple times. That was normal, wasn't it? Don't you watch people write their names? Or.. just Dave..
"You're real pretty," Dave said after a minute, putting his hands behind her back and linking one hand over his other wrist. "You cold yet? Its getting chilly. You can have my sweater.. if you want. I don't get cold easily." That was sort of a lie. I mean, what does that even mean, 'I don't get cold easy'? Everyone gets cold. But he just wanted to be chivalrous. That and he wanted to show off his arms. Because he'd always been incredibly confident with them.

Vallery smirked, lifting a questioning eyebrow. "So you're saying if I told you my last name, then it would be okay to kiss more?" She laughed, and shook her head. "Not that we do any thing by the book, but I'm not sure that's how it works either," she observed, and his tilt of the head made her head tilt a little. She liked his quirky little smile and awkward interruptions. She couldn't help it, she was falling for this guy that she barely knew. "All I know is," she said, thinking her mind again, "Physics should be a lot different now." She imagined them walking to class or passing notes during a lecture, and surpressed a grin until the image faded from her mind.
She didn't want to accept his sweater, but she was also getting cold. And didn't guys love that, being able to be the macho man and give the pretty girl the shirt off of his back? "I mean, it is chilly," she admitted. "But you don't have to give up your jacket. I don't want you to get cold, too." She smiled sweetly, denying politely. Yet part of her wanted the sweater at the same time, to prove that this guy was actually into her.

Dave let out a hardy, single laugh before looking down. "Yea," he said, still laughing a little bit. "Physics'll definitely be a bit different."
When she denied his sweater, though, Dave frowned. It wasn't really a legitimate frown; it was all for show and looked kind of goofy. But he still kind of wished she'd taken it. "Well if you're not gonna take my sweater then I guess I have no choice but to carry you like a suitcase back to my dorm. So you can get a different sweater. And we can come back," he paused, a very serious look over his face (even if he was still joking). "That'd be such a hassle. We don't wanna have to do that, right? And come on, if I get cold, at least you won't look like a dick that didn't give me your sweater. Gender roles, huh?" Un-linking his hand from his wrist, Dave began to unzip his jacket. "Its super warm and fluffy," he said in a tone that was all too seductive. He meant it as a joke, though, and (hopefully) said it in a tone where she wouldn't take it like that seriously.

Val laughed when he brought up gender roles. It was technically his job to offer her something to keep her warm. But that didn't really mater to her, much. Unless it mattered to him, she wouldn't care if he offered or not. Yet since he did... She watched as his stripped out of his jacket, and she admired the smooth chest and nice arms that move fluidly. His muscles... Unf. After he helped her into the jacket, she did feel admittedly warmer - and. Lot more cozy! Snuggling up in th e jacket, she leaned against his chest, turning into him and tucking her head under his chin gently. "Thanks for the jacket, Dave," she said softly.
