Never. My family has this thing where no matter how hurt you are, Advil is the answer. I smacked head first into a tree, had a minor concussion, and what was the answer? You guessed it: Advil. I fell down the stairs and couldn't breathe (pretty sure I broke a rib), so they gave me Advil. I snapped my thumb backwards after having it kicked in volleyball, it was swollen and I couldn't (still can't) straighten it all the way. They gave me Advil and an ice pack. I have a pain in my left lung that pops when I breathe, its been there for almost two years. And they HAVEN'T EVEN GIVEN ME ADVIL FOR THAT.

Basically, my family just thinks everyone is week. A hospital visit is a sign of weakness.
