Appearance: Skylar has blonde hair and blue eyes. Sometimes he spikes his hair, and sometimes he just leaves it alone, or wears a hat on a bad hair day. Other then that he doesn’t really do much to look good, his sense of style is just whatever he feels like wearing at the time, that looks somewhat decent together. He is really laid back in a sense of appearances, so he doesn’t do much with his clothing.
He isn’t exactly the most muscular guy ever, to tell the truth he’s pretty skinny, he has more of a cute look going on than a sexy one, with his puppy dog eyes, and his smile. He’s really just the kind of cute that has to grow on you. He is five foot seven, which is not exactly super tall, but tall enough for him. For the most part he seems to have a goofy appearance though, and he doesn’t really seem to care what people think of him, appearance wise.
Personality: Skylar is a sweet guy, he doesn’t really hate anyone, and if he does he has a good reason for it. He just wants to be friends with everyone, even though that isn’t always possible, he tries. He won’t go and start shit with people, or say things to hurt them, unless a person hurt him, and then he never really has anything mean to say about anyone. Or anything mean to say in general, he’s just a big teddy bear. Skylar is probably the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet, and that might make him a little gullible as well.
He’s probably the friendliest person ever, he just wants to be friends with everyone, he’ll carry on conversation with random people he doesn’t know, and try to make friends with everyone, which might get a little annoying to some people. He really tries to get everyone to like him however. He’s a cool guy, and he just likes to hang out, and get to know people, he has a bit of a hopeless romantic side to him, because once he falls for someone, he will try really hard to impress them with some crazy sweet idea, or gesture, even if it’s obvious they don’t like him. He doesn’t give up or get discouraged easily, so it’ll take a lot to get him to leave you alone, although, he doesn’t try to seem creepy, at all. He doesn’t want to come off as a creepy person when he’s just trying to be nice.
Background: His father was young and almost ready to graduate collage, and he woke up one day to someone banging on his door, with a note and a two year old. After that he never heard from her again, but was informed that shortly after the day she showed up at his apartment that she had died from cancer in a nearby hospital. As it turns out Skylar was the child of a one night stand in college. For a while his father worked for a college, teaching French. Skylar had a pretty simple childhood, and he was just like another kid. They lived in a small town, there wasn’t much to do, around there, so he and his friends often made up crazy things to do that got them in a bit of trouble.
Skylar was never a problem child though; he just liked to have fun. He learned how to play guitar, pretty much by himself out of boredom, and because he thought it would be a good way to pick up girls when he was thirteen. Ever since then he wanted to find some sort of music career, he played Cello in middle school, but quit that and picked up trumpet. When he was a freshmen, his dad decided that he no longer wanted to live in a small college town, and Skylar soon found out that was because he had met a girl.
Skylar took it as a shock at first since his father never dated, and he had never really seen any girls around his house, pretty much all his life it was just him and his father, but she seemed like a nice girl, and she quickly became a member of the family. That is until she forced them to move to new York, and it seemed like everything was well, Skylar started here in the middle of his freshmen year at where his dad got a job as a French teacher, which was most of the reason why Skylar got to go to Somerset. Eventually though the fantasy had to end, and it did. Skylar’s dad got left at the alter by the women who had made them move to New York, because she met someone else, because she got bored. No one knew, but life went on.
Skylar convinced his dad to stay in New York, because he had made friends here, and he liked the city better than his small hometown, and his dada agreed to let him finish school here, it’s a bit weird going to school where his dad works, but Skylar doesn’t mind that.
