She showed up at the coffee place, not particularly caring what she looked like. Today was a sweatpants kind of day; of course that was pretty much every day for her. She didn’t really care what she looked like, she was never really in the mood to talk to people, but doing nothing was something she couldn’t handle. Stormy was always moving or doing something, because just sitting in one place annoyed her. For some reason she didn’t want to just sit in her dorm all day, and since she had practice in the city, earlier, which was partially the reason she didn’t look amazing, she decided to use up some extra time and get come coffee.
Her hair was a mess as usual, it was just hanging down her shoulders, and she wore a pair of grey sweats and a back tank top. She had left her jacket in the car even though it was cold out, she figured it would be warm in the coffee place, like it always was. When she got up to the counter after waiting in line for a while, she ordered her drink, and then went to go stand in line to wait for them to make her drink. She looked down at her phone checking the time, and not paying attention to the people around her as she leaned against the counter waiting.

Jaime didn't live on campus and thank god. He had enough of the madness that was that school. The reason why he continued attending it was because he had already made friends and starting over again was sometimes a little difficult for him. He wasn't exactly the most social person and the kids at the daycare center would miss him. Anyways, all he could think of at the moment was Stormy. That was rather strange.
After Charlie's birthday, even during it, she had been really distant toward him. Maybe she thought that what they did at that party was completely wrong and he was probably a terrible kisser, anyway. He frankly wasn't sure of how well he was at kissing to be honest. It was just a thought that came to him just now.
And, Stormy wasn't going to die soon, because there she was. He had placed his order a person behind her and was now walking toward the counter. He bit the inside of his cheek, unsure of what to say. A normal hello would do and maybe, if she wanted to, they could engage in a conversation and if not, well, he would actually feel really bad.
"Hey Stormy." Jaime greeted with a smile as he leaned his arm against the counter slightly, facing her. He was dressed casual; a red hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans and black Vans.

Stormy was actually really surprised to hear someone talk to her, when she looked up, and realized that she had been confronted by Jamie though, she tried not to look as if she had just seen a ghost, but once again, she couldn’t help but remember the party. It wasn’t like he was a horrible kisser, because he really wasn’t, and maybe he was a decent person. She hadn’t really gotten a chance to get to know him because she was always avoiding him, because of the awkwardness of the situation. Like this one.
“Hey..” She seemed to hesitate before she spoke again, as if trying to find the right words to say, “Jaime,” she said with a fake grin, grabbing her drink, she glanced at the boy standing in front of her. What was she supposed to say in a situation like this one. “Long time no see huh?” Well that sounded lame, but it was a start she had to admit. At least she said something instead of just staring at him and making things worse. Ok so maybe she could have a decent conversation with him, if she could stop thinking about kissing him.
She definitely didn’t want to do that again, maybe she did in a sense of wanting to kiss him because he wasn’t bad at it, but she wasn’t one to judge since she hadn’t kissed many people, but in a sense of not wanting to make things weirder. It was just a party, and If she remembered correctly he had seemed like a cool person before she started making out with him. Situations like these were the ones she didn’t like. It wasn’t like she knew what to say to people that you made out with and then never talked to again like most of the girls that were here probably did. Instead of thinking of something to say, she decided she was just going to keep her mouth shut at the moment.

Having no sense of determining whether or not Stormy's grin was false or authentic, Jaime took it either way. His smile broadened because he thought everything was okay. Some people weren't exactly good at speaking at a normal pace, some liked to take their time and it was okay with Jaime. Since he wasn't the best at talking either. "Yeah..." he said while looking to her and once again saying, "Yeah." but this time he nodded before shifting his bright eyes to his left.
What was he going to ask her? He'd heard terrible rumors of her stealing sperm, having four children and carrying aids. Which he was sure that none of that was true be it that he didn't pay attention to them. However, he believed that Stormy was strong and she seemed to be ignoring them too. That caused him to smile in admiration. "We just saw each other at Charlie's party... I guess it was hard to forget. I left a little early before everything got started. How was it?" he asked, not knowing what to talk about. Why was this so awkward?

“Oh yeah,” She had forgotten about the party, she laughed, but it wasn’t her usual laugh, instead it sounded a bit forced, she was freaking out on the inside. What was she even supposed to say about the party, “It was…” She shrugged. “Fun…” She struggled with word choice, she didn’t really have fun, watching people take off their clothes, or taking hers off in front of a bunch of people she didn’t know. “Well fun is one way to put it,” she rolled her eyes. Yeah it really wasn’t fun, but it was too late to take it back. “If you call stripping in front of a bunch of people you hardly know fun,” and she didn’t.
“So how has everything been with you..?” She asked, she knew that at one point the whole makeout session thing was going to get brought up, but she decided to avoid it for the moment, and make the conversation less awkward, and talking about something else, at least it was a little bit less awkward, if any, and really talking about a party wasn’t. Since she couldn’t think of anything to say, asking him about his life seemed to be the next best option.

Stripping? It almost made Jaime feel dumb for leaving the party early. Alright, so maybe not entirely but he was still a guy. Not that he only looked for physical things from her. He hardly knew what he looked for in her. It seemed she enjoyed having fun and he wasn't really sure she wanted to be in a relationship. Jaime was good at reading some people. He felt it was interesting to look deep inside someone while observing them or talking to them. Stormy seemed the type of girl who knew how to have fun and be content with herself. No regrets well, he hoped that he wasn't one of her regrets.
"That doesn't sound too fun..." Jaime rose an eyebrow before the barista handed him his drink. He then motioned her to follow him to a table so they could have a seat and chat. "Do you want to take a seat somewhere? If you're not busy or leaving soon, I mean." he said, rather hesitant and nervous.
"I've been good. Just, working at the day care center and running errands for my dad, visiting family... Mainly just family stuff." Jaime said, taking a sip from drink before nodding. "Not too interesting..." he scratched the back of his neck. "I've noticed you've been... Avoiding me..." Jaime said, out of the blue and without anesthetics. He couldn't find a way to bring it up but he really treasured their friendship... Or if there was still any friendship left.

“’I’m not busy,” she said, following him, which wasn’t a complete lie, she could have been doing homework but that seemed like no fun at all, she didn’t understand most of it anyway, but that was what google was for when she got to it, later, or never, since she did tend to be a slacker. She wasn’t sure avoiding was the right word, but it was true, she hadn’t talked to him before, and it seemed unfair, it wasn’t his fault that they got forced into a closet together, and no one said that they had to do what they did, she couldn’t remember who was at fault for that, but she couldn’t blame him for it.
So when he finally brought up the question she had been waiting for, she decided just to straight up tell him, “I’m not gonna lie, the whole make out thing kind of made things a little bit awkward,” she said, “I mean, it’s not that I don’t like you or anything, and I don’t want you to get the wrong idea, because it really wasn’t that bad, I mean better than I thought it was gonna be, if you know what I mean, but I haven’t really kissed that many boys so I’m not one to Judge.” She took a sip of her drink before she continued, “It just seemed like it was going to make things a little weird, I mean avoiding you probably didn’t make things any better…” she shrugged.
She wasn’t exactly sure how he was going to take in what she had said, and she didn’t know what she meant by it, what exactly did she want to come of this whole situation? What was she expecting would happen? She didn’t know how to answer that, because she wasn’t sure what she wanted. She wasn’t a relationship type, and no one said anything about relationships. Maybe they could both forget it and move on it seemed like it was headed towards that anyway.

When Stormy began to explain why she was avoiding Jaime, he listened attentively. Although she was speaking rather quickly for him not to be able to follow through, he did his best to make everything she said into fragments until he did finally understand what she meant.
She was right, friends didn't just kiss. However, they were playing a game and they both knew it would be a probability that they would be chosen together. It was a simple game and it shouldn't have divided them simply because they kissed. Well, technically, they made out. Was it because the session was too heavy?
"Yeah, well I've never kissed a friend before... I can see why you felt it was awkward... Although I don't think it was enough to avoid me." Jaime said although he did believe that there might have been hidden tension in their kiss that night considering it lasted really long. He could have sworn that Stormy would have felt no regrets from it. "...Maybe we shouldn't have kissed like that." Jaime said slowly bringing his drink to his mouth and taking a sip.

Stormy sighed she really didn’t want him to feel like it was his fault that she was avoiding him, “I don’t think that it was a bad thing, I don’t regret it I just…” she took a sip of her drink and looked down at the cup, “I think the avoiding you thing was my fault because I kind of freaked out,” Because she didn’t want to have feelings for him. It was really the whole idea of having feelings for someone that freaked her out. It wasn’t the make out session that had freaked her out, because if she was being honest with herself, she had liked it. How did she tell him that though, was what she couldn’t figure out.
“I uhm… This is going to sound irrelevant for a second, but I never really had a good relationship, and I think I thought that if anything came of it, you know feelings or whatever it would ruin everything, because I don’t want to...” it sounded so stupid when she said it, like that, “In my head I was just like, what if I like him and then we can’t be friends anymore, and it doesn’t really make sense but I have a fear of that kind of thing,” She realized that he was probably the first person besides Riley that she told any of this to, and she was a bit worried that he was judging her, so she looked down at the table, waiting for his response.

"I was confused for a while there." Jaime nodded with a smile. He just wanted things to be like they were. When they talked to each other and there was nothing wrong with that. Stormy was a great person. For one, she was really smart and she had her head on right. She was funny, relaxed and — and why was Jaime thinking about this. He tilted his head pondering for a moment. How could he be thinking and listening to Stormy at the same time? She just made it possible for him, it seemed.
"Well, I mean, the relationships I've been on haven't been the best either but..." he rose an eyebrow before asking her, "Why do you fear them?" Jaime was interested in why she was afraid of relationships. Now really, it was just time to talk about each other. Connecting and that was good sometimes. He wasn't here to be a nuisance or to bother her. Jaime just wanted to know more about Stormy.
