It felt so nice to be able to get out of the house for the day. They'd dropped Cole off at the apartment to play with the twins and his mom for a few hours, and now they were setting up the picnic blanket in the park.
"Remember the last time we were here?" Kegan asked her as he straightened out the blanket and sat down. They were right next to the tree where he gave her the promise ring that was now replaced by her engagement ring. He just looked the look of it on her finger. It reminded him that she was his forever, and one day very soon they'd be saying their vows in front of everyone they loved.
((idk i suck today))

Thalia sat down next to Kegan on the blanket as she crossed her legs and put her elbows on her thighs. She placed her head on her head and nodded up at him. "How could I not remember?'she giggled biting her bottom lip. "It was the day after my birthday, right after my first appointment with Hillary you took me here. You told me right by this tree was where your father proposed to your mom..."she paused moving her head from her hand and moving her hand over to his. She grabbed his hand in hers lacing her fingers through his. She stroked his hand with her thumb as she began talking again. "It was also the day you gave me my promise ring and told me one of the most amazing promises I have ever heard in my life"she said leaning over and giving him a sweet kiss.
When she pulled away she ran her fingers through his hair before smiling at him. "It's so nice to be able to get out of the house. As much as I love that house, I was getting tired of staring at the walls all day"she said with a small laugh. She followed Kegan's eyes which were looking down at her engagement ring and couldn't help but wonder the thoughts going on in his head at the moment. "What are you thinking about?"she asked looking up from her ring to his eyes.

Kegan smiled back at her, "Just the fact that your engagement ring looks much better on your finger than the other one...not that it wasn't great," he leaned forward to kiss her. "Though my dad did have a point about it being almost as pretty as your eyes," he paused, "Almost."
He unwrapped a sandwich and took a bite. He was glad she didn't trouble herself to hand making everything, and had just gone to Subway instead. "I'm glad we got out of the house, too. My mom wants to come over at some point and be our little maid, since Daniella takes care of everything at the apartment. She actually misses cleaning," He laughed a little and took another bite. He was glad Thalia loved his mom so much. He felt like it was a good thing that she liked her mom so much. It made everything a lot easier, because he didn't even want to imagine how awkward it would be if they hated each other.
