Name: Charlotta Adena Fotzgerald
Please, please, please call me Charlie!
Age, Grade, Birth Date: Fourteen, in her Sophomore year. Don't worry, she's turning fifteen soon, on October 29th.
Clubs and Activities: Charlie isn't really a sports person. She joined the track team to get into shape, but she got kicked off within the first few weeks because she stopped showing up to practice. The only sport she's good at is basketball, which she plays competitively - even though she's one of the shortest players.
Appearance: Charlie has always been the short kid in the class. When she was little, she had a bully who called her 'Shrimpie' or 'Krill' because she was so petite that she was dwarfed by the rest of her third grade class. Over the years, however, she's learned to live with it. Now, she embraces it. She can fit into small spaces when playing hide and seek, she's great at guarding in any sport, and she can wear all the heels she wants to wear. It's fabulous to be tiny!
Charlie is one of those girls who is a natural beauty. She was lucky to be born that way, and she tries not to flaunt it. She hardly dressed fashionably - most of the time, its skinny jeans, a t-shirt, heels, and a beanie for her. She's not exactly a Tom boy, she just doesn't tend to wear dresses and frilly skirts. She tends not to wear make up, unless it is for a special occasion. The only thing she really takes time on in the mornings is curling her hair, because she likes it that way.
The generic information: In case you're too lazy to read her whole appearance - Charlie is five feet, four inches and has dirk brown hair with blonde and dirty blonde high lights. Her eyes are a warm chocolate brown.
Personality: Charlie has always been a bit of a dangerous girl. Ever since she was young, she was asking if she could do this or that. "Can I drive?" "What would happen if I walked on the top of the fence?" "Will the swing tip over if I stand on it?" Her parents had a hard time keeping control of the wild little girl they were raising. It was mainly because she has an inquisitive nature that helps her curiosity get the better of her. Now that she has matured, she is less insanely energetic, but the curiosity often injures the Charlie - she's broken six bones and had many bruises and scrapes over the years. Speaking of maturity - even though she is often perceived as reckless, she is actually quite intelligent and grown up... Well, when she wants to be, that is. Charlie is a fun person, who enjoys being energetic and carefree. She has learned to put the past behind her, though she occasionally has problems with fears and trust issues - but more on that later. She's the type to forgive and forget in a fight, she's peaceful and kind to animals, and she jut wants to live her life to the fullest.
History: Lexus Groman was eighteen when she gave conceived her first child, who she would later name Adena. Worried that her future would be ruined, she signed away the rights to her unborn baby before it was even three months old. The adoptive couple that she chose was young, in their thirties, and unable to have children of their own. On October 29th, 1997 they took their baby girl out of Lexi's arms and welcomed her into their home. Though it was an open adoption, no one expire expected Lexi to want contact with the baby she seemed so sure would mess up her plans for college. They were very wrong.
Charlie was five years old the first time that Lexi ever came back for her. She was living with who she believed to be her real parents, Marta and Simon Fitzgerald. She had their last name and they had given her a new first name, saving the name that her birth mother had given to her as her legal middle name. She had been playing in the back yard with her dog, a present from her parents, when her birth mother just waltzed right in. She had picked her up, called her "my baby Adena" and told her how much she had missed her child. Charlie had started crying and the puppy bit Lexi swiftly, ad Charlie was dropped back onto the grass abruptly.
Marta and Simon were surprised by her appearance. They hadn't seen her since before she went to college, and now she was cleaned up. An attorney's assistant was what she claimed to be, and they greeted her warmly. For a few years, Lexus was allowed to visit with Charlie and occasionally babysit her. She went it her basketball games, chaperoned her field trips, pretended to be her aunt. She wasn't supposed to tell Charlie that she was much more than that.
One June day, when Charlie was almost ten years old, Lexus drove her home from school, walked into the house, and served the Fitzgerald's a notice. They were being sued for the rights to their child. It took three years before Charlie was out of foster care and back into her home. Lexi was asked to leave the city, which she never did. On Charlie's thirteenth birthday, her birth mother attempted to kidnap her. Marta and Simon sent her to Somerset in the next week.

Other:
- Charlie is a lesbian. She knew from when she was young, that was just who she was. Many people tell her that she is too young to know that about herself, but she's sure of it. She just doesn't feel any attraction to men, that's all.
- She has a hard time trusting because of what her birth mother did to their family. She tends to be wary of lawyers and social workers, now,
- Charlie does not smoke, drink, or do drugs. She has a tattoo on her lower back of the yin yang symbol, which was something she got as a birthday gift from her parents.
- She is allergic to nuts and dairy. Yes, it's a problem.
