She has a very sophisticated style most of the time but she does not have the funds to go and buy designer clothes especially when she's trying to make sure that Camila has all of her wants and needs taken care of first. She would much rather have her daughter have nice things than herself so most of her clothing comes from the sale rack at Forever 21. She feels almost guilty spending too much money on herself when the money would be so much better spent on something better like rent or a new toy. Why would she want to spend money on silly things like make up when her daughter is looking up at her with those big brown eyes asking for something so simple like a new Hello Kitty plush toy?
She curls her hair every single day which is horrible for it but she loves it when it's curled. Her body bounced back relatively quickly after having her daughter so she looks nice but she was only fourteen she had her baby so ... maybe that's a benefit to extremely young pregnancies. She's 5'7 and typically wears flat shoes so she can chase her three year old around as needed and actually play with her on the playground unlike those always prim and proper moms in high heels who just watch from benches.

Caroline is generally a kind enough person. She isn't a bitch by most standards and she definitely isn't rude just for the hell of it but Aubrey Sawyer could easily testify to the fact that she can get a little snappy sometimes. She doesn't mean it and she doesn't abuse him but she definitely makes it so she wears the pants in the relationship. She's quite independent and she isn't ready to give that up just because she has a child with Aubrey! She is unafraid to speak her mind even if it could be considered mean and she won't tiptoe around the truth just to spare your feelings... Hell, she couldn't lie to save her life!
She knows that judgment can be harsh - she faced it for having her daughter at such a young age so she tries her hardest not to make snap judgments about anyone for any reason but she's only human. It's hard sometimes but she's really working on it now.
Background:
Caroline was not the kind of girl that you would picture getting pregnant especially not when she was thirteen years old. She grew up in Paris with two seemingly perfect loving parents. She always dreamed of having a relationship like theirs where the guy treated his love like the princess that she was. Everyone in town believed that her family had the perfect life and it really felt like they did for a very long time. Her father was a very successful businessman and her mother had been a nurse before she decided to become a homemaker and dedicate her time to raising her daughters.
They got married because neither of them felt like they would be accepted for who they really were so they agreed to get married when they were in their mid-twenties and decided to have two children in total. She had her first daughter, Lilian when she was twenty-six and her second when she was almost thirty-one years old and their conceptions were the only times that they ever had sexual intercourse of any kind in their marriage. It wasn't that they didn't love each other because they genuinely did but they didn’t feel like a husband and a wife normally did. Caroline grew up with her mother's girlfriend, Felicity and her father's boyfriend, Marcus introduced as her aunt and uncle so she never thought anything of it when she stayed with them or when they spent nights over.
She lived in Paris until she turned seven and then her family moved to New York because her father got an opportunity to open a business down there and the family knew that it would benefit them in the long-term if they all went including her 'aunt' and 'uncle'. The couple bought a duplex apartment as Anne and Rupert had finally decided that they were done living a lie and filed for divorce so Anne and Felicity took one part of the duplex and Marcus and Rupert took the other so it would be easier to share custody.
Caroline met Aubrey Sawyer when she was thirteen years old and she had no idea how interested that he was in her. She had a crush on him, of course, since he was adorable and he could make her feel like nobody else before had. She thought that it was just going to be a simple case of puppy love but she was proven wrong when she found herself laying naked on her bed losing her virginity to him. She didn’t think that they needed a condom because you are really unlikely to get pregnant on the first time and she believed that peeing afterwards would prevent whatever small chance that there was. She didn’t know that he would ever even think about getting her pregnant on purpose! Why would she possibly come to that conclusion? They were thirteen! Who wants a baby at thirteen?
She was proven very wrong when she told him about the baby and he admitted that he had done this on purpose. She gave up all thoughts on abortion or even adoption when she learned that this baby was somewhat planned because it wasn't fair to the child. He or she hadn't asked to be conceived to two naive young teenagers and she was damn sure going to make sure that this child had the best life that she could give it. She went to a doctor at a local clinic who allowed her to work out a payment plan so her parents wouldn't see this on their insurance until she was ready to tell them that she was pregnant. She hid it for as long as she possibly could which was sixteen weeks and they only realized it because her stepmother walked in on her on accident when she was changing out of her cheerleading uniform and back into her usual baggy clothes. She knew that it was a pregnant bump right away and was devastated at the poor girl's parents reaction to her pregnancy.
They kicked their daughter out immediately and she found herself homeless so she went to the only people who she knew were at least slightly obligated to give a home to her and her unborn daughter - Aubrey and his family. His kind parents allowed her to stay with them so she wouldn't be on the street and they gave up a room in the house to make a little nursery for their daughter whom they decided to name Camila Elizabeth Sawyer. She had always loved the name Elizabeth and he had suggested Camila so it only made sense. She didn't want anything that was going to be too hard to spell or pronounce like La'Tisha Mia Pia Gia Swaggypants whatever... She also liked the idea of her daughter having an adorable nickname like Cami and she had decided that she was going to call her 'Cam' sometimes or even Nutella which is her favorite food in the whole entire world. She wanted to name her daughter Nutella (Ella for short) but the idea was quickly vetoed.
She and Aubrey were together for her entire pregnancy and he kept her happy with jars of Nutella and, despite sharing a room, the two were not intimate because she wasn't ready for sex again. Aubrey delivered the baby in the women's restroom and Caroline describes the birth as 'liberating' and 'empowering'. She never knew how much that a woman's body can handle before this! She had assumed that she would want to be drugged out of her mind but she delivered her daughter with absolutely no pain medication and she'd happily do it again if she and Aubrey decide to have more children.
