Jeremy shrugged, "Not really. It's just like plants and stuff. I guess it's kind of boring now that I think about it, but at least it's pretty and not crowded, right?" They were passing the Tree Peonies, which he knew some about, but not very much. They weren't even in season, so it wasn't like there was much to say about it anyway. His favorite part of the park was the Japanese pond. He couldn't wait until it was covered in snow, when he thought it looked the most beautiful. He knew it was coming up, and when it did, he pulled Avery off the walking path and over to his favorite spot. "Isn't is gorgeous?" He commented, pulling his arm from around her shoulders to hold her hand again. "I think when I get married, I'd want it to be here. He let go of her and stood under the gazebo, facing the walkway. "See my bride coming down the isle to me. All of my friends and family..." He looked back at Avery smiled. "Maybe one day, that will be you," He hoped it didn't come off weird to her that he would talk about marrying her one day, but...He'd told her he loved her and she wanted him to be the father of her child...it kind of went without saying, didn't it? One day, he wanted to make her Mrs. Avery Striefer. When you crush on someone for a year, and fall for their personality rather than pure physical attraction...seeing yourself marrying them is something that just happens. "Oh," Avery said, then stayed quiet for a few moments, admiring the park. It really was just plants, but it sure was nice to look at. In New York, you really didn't get to see this type of stuff. It really reminded her of back home in Oregon, with all the trees and plants that seemed to be everywhere you turned.
When Jeremy pulled Avery to the side, and started to talk about his wedding and their future.. It sort of took her breath away. She never had someone show interest in spending that much time with her, and being that serious. It was nice to feel like someone cared, to feel appreciated. It was new.
"Someday.." She whispered, smiling. "Dun dun da dun, dun dun da dun..." Avery sang the "Here Comes The Bride" tune as she walked slowly toward Jeremy, still smiling. It was a joke, of course, but she liked the feeling of it. "It really is a beautiful place. You've got good taste.. I mean, obviously." Avery added a little hair flip, just for a laugh. "But really, this is gorgeous."

Jeremy laughed and put his arms around her hips, facing her away from him so they could both see the beautiful scenery. He rested his head on her shoulder. "You know what you should walk down the isle to?" He asked her, and then answered without waiting for her response. "There She Goes by Sixpence None The Richer." He turned her around to him and took her hand as he started singing the chorus to the song. "There's she gooooes. There she goes again. Racing through my brain, and I just conta-e-ain, this feeling in my bra-e-ain," He spun her by her hand, making her dress twirl, and the pulled her back into him.
"Or the wedding march works if that's what you want. But that's the song I'll be thanking of when my beautiful wife walks to me," he leaned down to kiss her. It was just a little kiss, nothing that would be counted as PDA, at least not in his opinion. He was never a huge fan of those couples who made out all of the time in public. He brushed her hair out of her face. "I'm so lucky to have you, Aves," he smiled at her again. He could go on and on for hours about how crazy he was for her, the only thing stopping him was the fact that it would probably annoy her eventually.

Avery placed her hands over Jeremy's on her stomach. Her thoughts flashed to one day feeling the baby kick, and seeing a bump there instead of looking down to a belly ring and two feet. She hadn't thought about the baby for most of the time they'd been at the gardens, since Jeremy had kept her pretty busy pointing out his favorite places and such. Even though it was a touchy subject at the moment, Avery knew that one day they'd make an amazing little family, and hopefully Avery and Jeremy would have their own one day too.
She listened to him sing - his voice was wonderful, she thought - and smiled as he twirled her. Wrapping her arms around Jeremy's neck, Avery returned his kiss. "I think I'm the lucky one here," She smiled again - Something she did a lot around Jeremy, which was nice - and pulled him back down so she could kiss him again. Avery didn't mind a bit of PDA, but judging by the fact that Jeremy only really gave her little pecks here and there told her that he wasn't into that kind of thing. Which she totally respected, but there's no reason not to give someone something to be jealous of. If you got it, flaunt it, right?
"What else do I have to see? I'm not sure I'll ever really come back, unless I'm with you, anyways.." She said after a few moments.

Jeremy rubbed his chin in thought. Most of the really cool stuff was halfway across the park, seeing as they came in on Washington Avenue. The closest thing to them was Celebrity Path, which he actually found a little boring. He took her hand again, "Come on." He lead her the way and started to explain it to her a little bit. "It's kind of like the Floor of Fame at Grauman's Chinese Theatre or the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But in Brooklyn. There's Barbra and Walt Whitman...but I think I'll be on here soon enough," He winked at her. He hoped that one day CTB was famous enough for something like this. Right now they weren't signed with anyone which was good for the moment, but one day they wanted to be big. Bigger than big. A lot of their fame came from Benji being beautiful and flirty all over youtube and twitter. It got people to check out their music, and then their sound made them stick around. They walked down the path for a little bit, stopping at a few names and just talking about nothing. He liked this. Just being with Avery. It was so simple, so easy. Like it was meant to be. It was really unfortunate that they had to hide their relationship. All he wanted to do was show her off to the world and let them know that he was the luckiest man in the world, but he couldn't do that. He'd lose the job that was paying the bills and probably hurt Avery's reputation at school. "Oh, this is pretty," he said as they started to get to the opening of Shakespeare Garden. It looked really gorgeous in autumn, and there were plenty of benches if they decided to sit down. "What do you think? Are you having fun?" He gave her hand a squeeze as they continued to walk and he sincerely hoped that she was enjoying herself. Avery listened while Jeremy explained the Celebrity Path to her. "I can see you guys here, or Hollywood, or something some day." She smiled, and pictured the boys getting their own star on the walk of fame or something. "That'd be pretty sweet. Benji would probably do something crazy. Like convince you to get some random girls number." She winked, referencing back to when they had first met. Spotting a bench, Avery pulled Jeremy over to it so they could sit down for a moment and enjoy the area.
Glancing around the garden, Avery was really glad that they'd decided to come here. It was nice to see somewhere she'd never been. There weren't many places like this around the city. "I'm having a really good time with you, babe." She squeezed his hand.
"Umm.." Avery said, wanting to ask him something that'd sort of been on her mind. "I don't really know how to ask this.." After starting a few times, finally Avery found the right words. "Are you going to invite me to actually meet the boys and like your sister? I mean I feel like we're getting serious and I mean... I'd like to meet them sometime."

Jeremy was caught off guard by that one. Why hadn't he thought to actually invite her over? Of course Ben knew her, but Alex didn't. And neither did Charity who was easily his biggest critic. She was just his overbearing little sister, and the more he thought about it, the more he knew it was important for her to meet Avery. He knew she was a good one, but Charity could sniff out a fake like a bloodhound. She knew Jessica was trouble the moment she met her.
"You know what? You're right. Alex should be home, and I think Ben spent the night anyway. Came home late after a date or something," he shrugged and smiled at her. He took out his phone to text them to make sure they were there, and then he told Charity to come over. She was still in class, but she said she'd come over as soon as she could. He didn't tell them that he was going to be bringing Avery. Though that would probably be a good idea, because knowing Ben...he would probably be naked.
He slid his phone back in his pocket and then kissed the back of her hand that was still holding his. "Let's get out of here, I can't wait for you to meet them."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cab ride home was short. Brooklyn Heights wasn't too far away, and Jeremy was just bubbling with excitement, so it didn't feel long at all. He pulled her up the stairs and into the elevator like a hyper little kid. "This is going to be great. Are you nervous? I'm not nervous. Why would I be nervous?" He was nervous. Mostly about his sister. And Alex, because the guy banged anything in a skirt. Ben would be the little mediator, which he would appreciate, but he was still a little scared.
What if Charity tore her apart in front of her? Or what if Alex hit on her? Or what if --
Too late. They were on his floor before he knew it. He gave Avery's hand a squeeze and walked the short walk to his front door. He unlocked the door and opened it for her. Suddenly he was worried that his apartment was too messy, too boyish, too... not good enough Avery. Chances were that when the baby came along, Avery would be spending a lot of time here. What was he going to do if she just flat out hated where he lived?
Alex and Ben must be in the studio or Alex's room or whatever, because they were in the main room waiting for them. Which was a major relief. "So..." Jeremy asked her awkwardly. "What do you think?"

"Okay!" Avery giggled as they got into a cab.
---
"Calm down.," Avery cooed, trying to soothe Jeremy's obvious nerves. "Its gonna be okay," She smiled. Truthfully, Avery was scared shitless. Jeremy's older friends and his sister were all going to think she was just some kid. Which... she kinda was but she didn't act like it, at least. What if they didn't like her? His bandmates were easily some of the most important people in Jeremy's life, so it was important that they got along with her. But what if they hated her? What if they thought she was too young? Ugly? Annoying? Immature? Weird?
Shaking the thoughts away, Avery followed Jeremy into the apartment. Once she got inside and looked around, it totally fit him. The furniture, the decorations.. Everything sort of screamed Jeremy or CTB. "I like it," She grinned, scoping the room. "It's very.. you." Avery giggled and squeezed his hand. "Where is everyone?"

Jeremy let out a sigh of relief and smiled. He was glad she liked it. One less thing for him to worry about. "I don't know..." He walked over to the door next to the pantry and opened it. As soon as he did, there was the familiar sound of Ben's drums. No guitar though, so either he was helping film a drum cover, or he wasn't in there. He closed the door so Avery wouldn't go deaf.
He smiled sheepishly, "Sound proof. Our neighbors would kill us otherwise. We're surrounded by old people." That was all there was in Brooklyn Heights. Rich old people. And them. Alex's mom was a real estate agent, so getting an apartment on Hicks Street wasn't that difficult. They just left out the fact that they would be playing loud music all the time. Soundproofing was a thing, so they just turned a spare room into their studio. "Ben's...doing something. I don't know. He'll come out in a minute, he has the bladder of a baby bird. Alex is probably upstairs," Jeremy said and then the front door opened and he spun on his heel.
Alex gave him a weird look, "What?" He held up a black bucket. "Our ice maker is broken. You look like you just saw Madonna without makeup." Jeremy blushed and moved a little closer to Avery. "Sorry, I thought you were Charity..." "Afraid of your little sister. Cute," He placed the bucket of ice in the freezer and stretched his hand out to Avery. "Hi, I'm Alex. And you are...?" "My girlfriend," Jeremy piped up for her. "Avery, this is Alex King. Alex, Avery Fuller," he smiled warmly at her and gave Alex a little warning look. Not that Alex would actually go after his girlfriend, he wasn't like that. It was just better safe than sorry. Alex smiled and let go of her hand, "It's nice to finally meet you, Avery."
