Becca grinned when he agreed to a race, and kept a tight grip on her board. When she started off running, she didn't even look behind her. Maybe he was good when he had wheels, but she was better when she was just running. Sprinting to the fountain, she ran a little circle around it to slow herself down, instead of coming to a sudden stop. Grinning at Cameron, she realized she beat him. "Beat ya," she giggled, then poked him gently in the arm. "Or did you let me win?" she asked skeptically, frowning a little.

"Let you?" Cam walked slyly over to the fountain as he slowed down from running, half-smiling, "I would never," he placed a hand to his chest as if he were taking an oath, then laughed, "But really," he nodded, slightly impressed, "I should lose to you more often," he winked, "nice view." Cameron flashed her a a quick toothy-smile before setting down his board and leaning over to take a sip from the fountain.
she may lean down at the same time for the awkward or cuteness or awkward cuteness

She blushed when he mentioned the "nice view" and resisted saying anything. Before he could see her all-too-red cheeks, she figured she would just lean down for a drink of the fountain's luke-warm water. In the seconds before it happened, she realized two things: one, the fountain had rather humorous graffiti scribbled all over it, and she would have to point that out later; two, Cam was leaning down for a drink at the same time. Awkwardly, she tried to stop herself - but she was already going forward and her brain was too confused to do much more than complete the action. She ended up brushing her cheek against his as she attempted to get some water past her lips - which, she didn't. Instead, her lips happened to cross paths with his - or, rather, just below his. When she realized she'd accidentally let their mouths touch, she could have died. Frozen in place, she hoped he wouldn't hate her forever.

Well, that was a happy accident...
The sudden brush of their lips left Cam not knowing of what to do. Why wasn't she moving? Why hadn't Becca pushed him away, or pulled away herself? The rushing thoughts made his stomach squirm, but he figured... if she wasn't pulling away, if she didn't mind this... then maybe, she wanted this? He looked at her, intently, taking a second to build up his courage before using his thumb to tilt her chin up, and pressing his lips to Becca's, willingly.

She was still frozen in shock and embarrassment as his eyes flickered with light. She felt as if she was falling, loosing herself in the moment. She felt awkward and yet excited, her heart pounding - had she really accidentally touched him? Had their lips brushed, or did she imagine it? She was still trying to sort it out when his thumb tilted her chin. She was suddenly grounded and in the moment - was this happening? His lips pressed to hers and she let her eyes slip close for the slightest of seconds as they kissed. She didn't even know what to think - her brain couldn't process it fast enough! She pulled away, stepped back, stuttered on her words, and just blinked in surprise. "Did - did we just... you kissed me." She smiled, wondering what happens next.

Cameron let out a chuckle and shook his head in disbelief at what had just happened. He just kissed Becca, his best friend's sister, and she let him. He bit his lip, scrunching his eyebrows and leaning onto the drinking fountain, trying to process this, "Well," he eyed her, smiling at her reaction -- she wasn't upset, which was most definitely a good thing, "assuming you're not disgusted by that..." he stood up straighter again, "I'm going to take it you like me," he said, bluntly, taking a step closer, "which is perfectly alright, because," Cam grinned, "I like you, too," with a sigh, he cocked his head to the side, reaching over and sliding a hand down her arm until meeting his fingers with hers, "so, how about you tell me what you want to do next, hm?"

Becca grinned at him and raised your eyebrows. "Thanks for admitting that you like me," she gripped his hand. "How do you know I like you?" she teased, sidling up to him so that her hip touched his. She didn't want to be too clingy yet - she was just trying to be a joker, and a good-looking one, at least. She liked Cam - a lot, already - and she was glad he felt the same. And their little fountain moment? So cliche, and yet so cute. They could be a Halmark movie in the making! She giggled at the thought.
