Oc: I just posted here, I hope you don't mind c: BTW This took forever I'm sorry but yay for being home...Not really, but thats not the point.
Zander was suprised he said yes, and Eric's grin, the little half smirk thing was driving him crazy. He was falling way to hard for him for just knowing him a few hours, and knowing nothing about Like for an example, his last name, he had no idea what his last name was. That was something most people knew about someone they liked. It wasn't odd for Zander to find himself falling for people, and them not feeling the same way back, and maybe this was what it was, he couldn't read his expression well, and he couldn't tell if he was flirting back or not.
Although it seemed like he was. Eric seemed to hesitate before saying yes, and he wasn't sure what that was supposed to tell him, except for the fact that he was cute when he was nervous, which didn't help anything. He grinned back at Eric when he finally said it was a good idea and then stood up after him when the train stopped.
Once they got off the train, Zander lead Eric to the ice cream place, and actually, he didn't even go there often, he just wanted to hang out with Eric come more, and he still didn't exactly tell him they went to the same school. That would come as a suprise. He wasn't exactly sure how this was supposed to go. Maybe they would get to know each other a little more, and talk more often, after all they did got to the same school, and Zander hadn't even been sure if he'd wanted to come back for this year.
"So." He started as they walked into the shop. Biting down on his bottom lips he comtemplated what he was going to say next. "Do you like it here?" He asked, finally, thinking of something he could ask without getting to personal. "I mean so far." He explained, even though it should have been self explanitory.

Walking into the shop along side Zander, Eric found himself wondering if A) This was concidered a date and B) If it looked like a date to other people. He knew that they were selfish, pointless questions and he felt like an asshole for thinking about them, but the fact of the matter was that secretly, Eric knew that if it were a date, he wouldnt mind. It was something he was not comfortable admiting but he knew it was so.
"I mean, it hasn't been that long since I've been here, but so far?" Eric bit down on his bottom lip and looked up toward the sky, "So far, it's not to bad." His eyes connected with Zanders, and a smile snuck across his face. It felt like on of those cheesy moments in movies where the two characters start to hold hands without realizing it, because theyre too busy staring into the others eyes, and it occured to Eric that he was not sure if that's what he was suppose to feel at this moment, and he wondered just why he did.
Another matter Eric was growing uncomfortable with was the fact that he had not smoked one cigarette on the walk to the icecream shop. So, before Zander could walk into the shop, he spoke up. "Hey," Eric began, trying not to sound like the biggest dick ever, "You don't have to... wait for me but, if you don't mind I kind of need a smoke break." Eric coughed and looked at the ground, "Sorry I didn't take care of that on the way. I guess I got... distracted." He looked up at Zander sheepishly, almost resembling the puppy-dog face, but not quite so dramatic. He really did feel bad though, holding back their plans for his selfish habit. He really hoped Zander would wait outside with him, but he knew it was in better taste for Zander to probably order inside without him-- thats what most people tend to do. He held the door open, the two standing in the doorway, and looked up into Zanders eyes (Just like a movie scene might have called for) and awaited his response.

He said something about not being here for long, but Zander didn't hear that part, did he say something important? He knew it wasn't good that he hadn't been listening to him, but once again he was too bust staring into Eric's eyes. He felt like they were having a staring contest or something, but maybe it was more the fact that. Before he could respond Eric spoke again, and he looked away, blushing. He was glad that Eric had said someting before he had the chance to reply, because he'd only caught the beginning of what he'd said, and it wasn't enough to form a response. So the fact that Eric didn't give him a chance to respond didn't bug him. He wasn't exactly sure how to respond to that question for a second, but he hesitsted before he answered thinking, part of him wanted to say something about how much Eric seemed to smoke, but he decided against that becaus ehe probably already knew it was bad for him. Part of him was saddened by the fact that he seemed to smoke so much as well, but, maybe he could get over that, since he seemed to still be falling for Eric. He knew it was selfish to say something, and end what they had, whateer it was they had because he smoked. A lot apparently. The question caught him off guard though, he wasn't sure what answer would be approprite, because he didn't want to seem like he was too attached, that he was going to stay out here, but part of him wanted to. "I-" He finally started to say something, but he stopped before he could spit the words out. "I guess we're not gonna be making out any time soon." He said throwing a wink in Eric's direction, he was trying to lightn his mood. There was something about him, and the way he was looking at Zander with that sad look on his face, made him decided on what he was going to say next. "Nah, you look like you need comapny." He said, with a small grin. Not wanting to tell Eric that he wanted to stay out there with him.

Zander's comment stopped Eric in his tracks. He was frozen, eyes on Zander and a hand propping the door open. When he finally came too and realized he had been staring, he flushed bright pink and looked down, pretending he needed to study his pockets in order to find his pack of cigarettes. "I must have forgotten about that..." he said, trying to refer to the make-out session that was now never going to happen, and still trying to not sound like a flaming homosexual. He paused mid-sentence to let go of the door and place a cigarette in between his lips. "Sorry. Maybe later, then." His voice was just slightly muffled, having spoken around the cigarette loosely hanging from his lips. His eyes peeled off of his shoes and up at Zander, hoping to give some sort of facial expression that signified that this comment was a mere joke between guys.
Eric worried now that maybe he should have said something a little less direct. Contemplating this, he lit the cigarette and took a long drag, lifting his head up so the smoke would go in the general direction, and not all over Zander. "Sorry for the inconvenience," he apologized sarcastically, not actually sorry for asking Zander to keep him company. In Eric's mind, it really just prolonged their little adventure. Another drag. Exhale.
"You must have a habit you wish you could cut, don't you?"

Zander frowned when Eric said that they wern't going to be making out soon. "Oh well, I guess we should get to know each other first anyway," he shrugged. Although it was probably a good idea, he was kind of looking foroward to that make out session, which although he had assumed was not going to happen, was a little dissapointed to hear that it wouldn't be happening. He didn't want to let Eric know that though, so he didn't say anything more on the subject.
"You wish you could quit smoking?" He asked. He couldn't really think of anything that he wanted to quit but couldn't, actually, he was really bad about percrastinating on homework and things, but he didn't want to bring that up, he shrugged. "I don't mind, really, and I don't care, I mean like I said before though, you shouldn't really make out with people while your smoking, cause it's not sexy," he chuckled remembering Seb for a second.
"I don't smoke," he laughed at that too, "but as long as you aren't like peer pressuring me into it I don't mind, I try not to judge people ya' know?" he shrgged again, and raised a brow as he asked the question. biting down on his bottom lips and looking at Eric, why was he so adorable, even though he was killling his lungs, and that was pretty gross, if you thought about it. He shook that thought out of his head though, he couldn't care less about that, suprisingly, he already felt like he liked Eric too much to care, and like he had said he didn't like judging him too much. He seemed to be a nice guy, but maybe that was just beause of how hard Zander was falling for him.

No," Eric chuckled as he responded. It wouldn't be a habit if he didn't enjoy it. "Well," he took a drag, exhaling as he spoke, "I mean, sometimes I think, you know maybe this isn't going to benefit my future, but then I remember," Inhale. Exhale. "Then, I remember that I don't really care." The whole while Eric had a goofy, almost cute grin on his face, just knowing this wasn't at all what Zander wanted to hear.
Apparently, though, Zander wanted to hear an invite to a makeout session, which Eric was trying not to think to hard about. Eric was almost sure this whole thing was just a big inside joke between them, but the more it was brought up, the more it seemed real. More and more like a promise the two were sharing now, rather than a joke. In most cases, this would really shake Eric, but for some reason, maybe the spontaneity the night seemed to be beholding, he wasn't bothered too much. For what seemed to be the first time in Eric's life, he was holding a "whatever happens, happens" attitude without the help of drugs or alcohol. This was new and exciting for Eric, to say the least. Maybe this wasn't a joke, but reality, and that's just something that would happen. And maybe he'd enjoy it. But he definitely wouldn't admit to any of this.
"Zander," Inhale. Exhale. "You don't do anything... bad, or wrong, it seems, yea? You don't break rules or hearts or the law?" Inhale. Eric couldn't believe this boy, with tattoos and stretched ears and this troublemaker demeanor couldn't think of a single bad quality. It was, in a way, refreshing and calming, but it also made Eric want to see more into this boy, and just why his appearance and personality don't match, and why someone so.... innocent was hanging around, well, Eric.

"I break hearts," he said, with a smirk appearing as he said that. "There's always that girl that think i'm straight and into her or whatever, i'm sure you get that all the time, cause you're adorable," he could tell his face was probably turning red as he said that. He really should think things out before he spoke, since it seemed like all night he had been saying things that came across as flirty, when he was just talking. Not to say he didn't like Eric or want to make out with him, he just wasn't sure Eric was into it.
"You probably don't break their hearts by telling them you're into guys though," he said, biting his lip, thinking before he said the next thing that just randomly popped into his head. "Rules," he shruged. "I don't break many rules, I mean..." For a second he paused to think of all the rules his sister used to break, and then pushed that thought outbof his head not wanting to think about her at the moment he continued on. "The law, again, not so much, it seems weird comming out of my mouth, soncidering I look like the guy that would do things like that, but I don't." He shrugged.
"I tried smoking weed once..." Zander wasn't one to keep secrets from people, so if something happened in the past he was going to share it, and laugh at himself, "and I,ended up throwing up on this guy that I might have had a crush on," he laughed, "but he turned out not to be such a great person anyway," he said. "Anyway," he decided he was going to stop talking, since most of what he said was pointless anyway, "Maybe some day you can show me how to be a true rule breaker," he said, with a wink.

Eric's cheeks shone red and he took a final, rather long, drag from his cigarette, and dropped the butt on the ground, watching it fall and slowly exhaling smoke from between parted lips. "I don't date much," He began, not really wanting to get into the story of girlfriends' past, "so I guess I can be a kind of heart breaker, sometimes." He looked up, and raised his eyebrows, "You're right though, I can't say I've ever done that." Eric made sure to keep his words light and playful, so that the conversation would follow suit.
I mean, he didn't really have to try after Zander's vomit story.
"Wait." Eric started sort of giggling, and his eyes dropped down to his feet, and he watched himself grind out the cigarette butt, "you threw up on a guy?" he tried to repress laughter, and pushed on, "Well, at least he deserved it, right?" You know when you're talking with someone and a moment suddenly dies down, and there's an overwhelming silence, just floating in the air? Well...
"But, yea," Eric's eyes lit up and connected with Zander's, cutting the silence, "I guess I could show you the ropes of shenanigans some time." He let a warm smile spread, and took a few steps toward the door or the Icecream Shop, assuming Zander would follow. "So," Eric pushed open the door, and glanced back at his companion, "what's good here, anyways?"

When Eric said he didn't date much it was a bit of a dissapointment, but Zander decided to let that one go, since he had just met him and all it seemed a little too personal to get into all that at the moment.
"Yeah, I mean... He didn't deserve it then, but he really wasn't worth my time anyway so i guess I don't regret it," he shrugged. It was easy for him to say that now, after everything that had happened between them, it seemed like a stupid story to be telling at the moment. Honestly, he wasn't sure of the point he'd been trying to make when he brought it up anyway. He followed Eric inside, and when he asked a question, Zander had to think about what to say.
"Everything," he said, "Supposedly they have the best root beer floats," he added. Looking at Eric before he spoke again, "I'd like that," he said, not trying to be at all creepy by saying that, he just wanted Eric to know that he liked hanging out with him for someone he'd only met not long ago, he could tell they were going to be friends, of not something else. Which Zander was dissapointed to admit to himself that Eric probably didn't feel the same way.

"It's a date," Eric said, not bothering to look back at Zander as he spoke.
Eric walked to the icecream bar, taking a seat and putting his elbows up on the counter. One he got settled, he turned and allowed his eyes to fall upon Zander, and followed him as he walked to the counter. “Root beer it is, then,” Eric concluded, with a small smile. Accordingly, he turned to the “bar” tender, and repeated this phrase, and pulled out the proper amount of bills and then some, “I’ve got you covered,” Eric informed Zander, in hopes that he would let Eric pay for him. This was a subtle gesture to most people, but through the eyes of Eric it was a bit grander. Most people, he has come to notice, don’t pay for one another. It’s selfish, but he understood why. I mean, even Eric was thinking about the pack of cigarettes he could be buying himself, instead of paying for this guy, but Eric trusted that Zander was worth it. At least, he wished he was. All that’s left was to wait for Zander to order. “This place is…” he couldn’t quite place a word. Quaint? Charming? “Cute.” Cute? How much of a tool did Eric look right now? It was meant to be a compliment, but he was afraid it came out as more as an insult now. It was apparent that Eric couldn’t speak today. No to Zander, anyways. Usually Eric could keep his cool just a little bit, come up with something perfect to say or something. Not today, however. And he wanted to know why. “Do you take all of your first dates here, then? Or am I your first-first date to be escorted to this place?”
