Name:
Valerie Francesca Samuels
Age:
16
Gender:
Female, clearly.
Sport/Club:
Dance, Drama, Volleyball
Grade:
11
Appearance (use details, please. No less than 5 sentences if possible):
Valerie is quite skinny, not unhealthily skinny -- you could definitely notice some toned muscle and slight curves here and there. Her face looks pretty friendly and welcoming with those big green eyes of hers, but don't let it fool you -- it's just a mask. She always has a smirk on her face, it seems, walking around with her head held high. With heels on, she looks about 5'6 to 5'7, but without, she's 5'4. She keeps her abstinence ring on at all times.
Personality (5+ sentences):
Val has a lot of confidence illuminating from her, she's not afraid of letting people know that she thinks she's awesome, because she doesn't just think it -- she is. She thinks if she places herself high enough on a pedestal, nobody will be able to push her down. And if anybody tries, she's definitely not afraid to put up a fight. She doesn't break easily.
She's pretty protective over her friends. You say anything close to offensive about somebody she cares about and she'll be there to defend them. She doesn't take that kind of crap from anyone. Val hates bullies, and therefore likes to stand up for the little guys. Having been picked on before and seeing her mother talked badly about, it angers her to witness others having to go through that sort of a situation.
Val's the type of girl who likes to find the beauty in everything... except people. For her, there are only two types of people in the world: the good and the bad. If you give her a bad first impression, it will usually stick. Of course, there are ways to change her mind, but if Val thinks you're just an overall horrible person, she'll be sure to keep her distance from you.
Being pretty bubbly, Val isn't afraid to express herself. If people think she's weird, so be it. That's their problem, not hers. She has quite an eccentric personality and likes to project her emotions to the world and doesn't care who sees or hears. This could cause her to overreact over certain scenarios at times, but just say the word and she'll be brought back to reality in a split second.
Val has never had a relationship. She thinks people are attractive, but she's never acted on a crush, nor has she ever had a legitimate reason for having said crushes. She doesn't know how to act around boys. She's able to carry herself in most settings, but get her alone with someone she likes and all of that confidence she usually has will diminish. She'll lose her ability to speak, jumble her words and stutter -- part of the reason for this is because, she thinks that if she so much touches a boy, it will lead to something else, and that's not something she wants. Val really believes in preserving her innocence and virginity until she's with someone she loves, and until someone convinces her that they can be that person, Val will push them away.
Background Story (No less than 5 sentences):
Having given birth to the girl in high school and being unsure of who the father was, Hilary Samuels was determined to try and give her all to her daughter. She wanted only the best for little Valerie, providing her with all she could, determined to do anything to give her daughter the life she deserved. Hilary didn't want her daughter to grow up to be like her, she didn't want her to make the same mistakes she did.
Now, Hilary didn't make all the best decisions when it came to giving Valerie everything she thought the girl needed. She thought sending her to a private school would do good for her, but she couldn't afford it... so she slept her way into getting her daughter's acceptance in, with a board member. Now of course, word like that gets around. Nobody ever had real proof, but teachers and faculty definitely knew something been going on, and that spread to parents, which spread to their kids. None of that information got to Val until she was confronted by a group of girls.
Your mom is a whore. they'd said to her.
Val didn't care to believe that. She didn't believe any of the rumors. And when it came to asking her mother why people were saying that, only upset the both of them. She didn't want to think of her own mother, the woman who gave birth to her, who raised her, did such horrible things in order to provide for her. A part of her felt guilt -- if her mom didn't need to take care of her, she wouldn't have to do such things. She wouldn't have to disrespect herself, lower her self-worth.
Once Valerie grew old enough to somewhat take care of herself, she tried to distance herself from her mom. She wanted to show her that she could be independent, that her mom didn't need to do anything for her anymore. She started saving up on her own money so her mom didn't have to do go through so much trouble trying to earn extra in order to afford the luxuries she thought Val wanted.
