Name:
Cameron Andrew Sawyer
Age/DOB:
22/September 24
Sport/Club:
Football, Water Polo
Appearance:
Standing at 6'2, Cam is a pretty decent height for his age. His eyes are a deep shade of brown, which look hazel on occasion depending on the light. His natural hair is a dark shade of brown, which has lightened from all the time he's spent under the sun. When he's too lazy to do his hair, which is often, it's usually hidden with a beanie or baseball cap.
Personality:
Cam is a pretty, chill, quiet guy. He doesn't like drama, nor does he enjoy people who start it. He's not one to get into fights or start any, he thinks it's unnecessary. If you don't like someone, just don't interact with them, simple as that -- is what he thinks. Though, he isn't much of a peacemaker either. He'd much rather stay away from drama, give people their space, let them deal with it themselves. He won't take sides, no matter how close you are. Why start something over nothing, right? But, if he does think you're wrong, he'll be sure to tell you. That's his way of helping out, trying to reason with people. If he thinks you're starting something over a stupid reason, he'll let you know. On the occasion that he is involved in drama of any sort himself, he'll try his best to ignore it. He'll try not to fight back. Though, if you do bother him enough, it is possible to push him over the edge. He will snap at some point, and you don't want to see him when he's that angry.
Don't take him as a pushover. That is the last thing he is. If you try to push Cam around, he will certainly defend himself. As much as he doesn't like drama, he doesn't like people who try to take advantage of others, either. He won't take that from anyone. Cam is the boss of himself, he doesn't like to take orders from anyone. He will argue with you -- but taking it to a physical level is definitely a last resort.
When Cam gets really close to someone, he'll start to open up, and as he opens up, he'll start to trust that person completely. But, do him wrong in any away, and that trust will be completely broken. Cam, though he doesn't show it, gets hurt easily. It'll take a lot of convincing for him to trust you again.
Being quite honest with his friends, if he's blunt, it only means he cares about you, even in the slightest bit. He's not afraid to tell you what he thinks of you whenever you might act a bit unreasonable in a situation. He'd rather be straight up than let you go on acting stupid in front of everyone.
Cam has no problem with trying to speak to girls. A lot of the times he "hits on" people, he's joking; if he really likes someone, he'll stop at nothing to get their attention. He's very persistent. He's not afraid of making a fool of himself, he would dress up as a bunny for a girl, if he felt she were that worth it. However, if a girl likes him and he doesn't like them back, he'll be straight up about it. He'll let her know that he isn't interested simply by telling her, rather than being a jerk about it like most other boys seem to do.
Cameron really doesn't mind being casual with anybody unless he has legitimate feelings for them or somebody else. Though his own sister is very hesitant about her own sexuality, Cam surely isn't. He's not a manwhore, doesn't sleep around, but he's had his own fair share of friends with benefits. He's a teenage boy, of course he's going to go out and get some if he so chooses. Then again, he's not the type to just go around searching for the next girl to hump and dump. Though he'd never admit it, he's a softy when it comes to love, which he believes will come to him whenever the time is right.
History:
Cameron was born into a family of four, which consisted of his parents and his younger sister, Morgan. He wasn't all that close to his father growing up, so when his parents divorced, it hadn't effected him terribly. Neither did the fact that his father had come out as being gay -- he didn't care. He was a quiet kid, and, though he hadn't understood what had been going on, he knew it was best that he not to ask his parents any questions... that way, he'd never been confused about anything. All he knew was that, his dad was gone, and he'd be with his mom and sister. He didn't think he needed to dig any deeper -- after all, he was only in the second grade at the time.
As Cam started to mature, his mom had gotten a lot busier with her work, so he kept to himself, not wanting to bother her. He preoccupied himself with his own interests that he started to pick up. He started taking guitar lessons when he was nine, stopping when he'd turned fourteen. Playing guitar seemed to be a calming experience to Cam, he liked the gentle sound of it, it relaxed him. He was quite good at it, though he never thought to pursue anything with it when he first started playing.
Getting older and reaching into his teenage years, Cameron became a bit resentful of his stepfather -- he didn't like the way he had stepped in and made it seem like he was the man of the house. His own father told him that Cam would be the one to be taking care of his mom and Morgan, they didn't need anyone else. The resentment towards him made him start to become more independent, and protective over his family. Cam didn't really speak about his feelings towards his stepdad to anyone, though, his resentment towards the man took an effect on his actions. He would take it out on his mom, talking back at her, staying out late, and ditching classes. He was just upset, bottling it all up, letting it get to him until he exploded. But, hey, every teenager has to go through that rebellious stage at some point in their lives, right?
