www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=94981639She had spent her entire day at the mall sitting at the food court taking pictures of the people walking by, was that weird? Her mom had told her to go buy some new clothes, because the last time she had seen her over winter break all she wore was a bunch of sweaters and ripped up jeans. Her mom was right, her wardrobe was almost completely dark colors, that was exactly what she was wearing today, a pair of dark is jeans with a single hole in them and a a grey and white sweater paired with some dark boots. Of course she decided to go with a hat because it was cold outside, and her bag was not black surprisingly. So after sitting in the food court with her cream taking pictures of all the people that walked by, people watching was actually pretty fun to tell the truth. She decided to wander around for a little bit more, she ended up buying a pair of jeans, just to make her mom happy, even though she knew that she could pretty much do whatever she wanted now since she was across the country from her parents. She looked at a few dresses, prom was sometime soon wasn't it? She wasn't really looking forward to the school dances, so she didn't really plan on going, but there was this black dress that was just calling out to her. So she tried it on. It was actually a little big on her, and she decided to ask if they had it in a smaller size. When they didn't she left. She wasn't in the best of moods, really, just sulking the mall by herself, it wasn't really fun. She eventually decided that it was time to go, and walked slowly towards the elevator, when she found a toy store. She made sure to buy something for her little sister. A random penguin toy and then went on her way back to the elevator to get out of there. She wasn't really looking forward to leaving much either because it was cold out and she wasn't exactly completely dressed fro the weather, but that could be dealt with later. She pushed the button for the elevator to go back to the first floor and checked her phone while she was waiting for it to appear.

So this was the New York City's mall. Brittany's eyes lit up with delight, this was much more than what she was expecting. Earlier that day she had received a large clump of money from her mothers new boyfriend just to keep her out of the house for a few hours. She had spent the majority of the day trying on different outfits, along with waiting on her new manicure to dry. Slamming a corn dog in her face she smiled, she really was learning to enjoy this city life. 'Click.' Wedged in her cheek, she turned around to discover a photographer snapping photos in her direction. Swallowing the hunk of meat nearly whole, she reached for her sprite to stop herself from choking. Oh hell no. She did not just take an unflattering picture of her.. Did she? Her eyebrows furrowed with frustration, as she tried to let it go.
The amateur - at best, was shorter than herself and dressed poorly. Brittany smirked, already feeling superior to the other female. She was in a bitchy mood for some reason that day, nearing close to 'that time of the month' probably. She didn't keep track of those things though, being a virgin and all she didn't care if her cycle was irregular or not. She clinked her boots together and pulled up the strap of her bag as she stood to leave. She tried to forget Zelda the rest of her shopping trip, but the idea of someone having a bad photo of her made her teeth grind.
Brittany looked at the mall's clock overhead, she would need to leave soon to pick up her brother from his geeky band practice. Now inside the elevator, she pressed the button to go from the fifth floor, to the first. She grumbled when the machine abruptly came to a halt on the (blank floor whatever floor Zelda was on). She hated when she was in a hurry to get somewhere and she had to stop to wait for someone. Elevators were an inconvenience, she should have taken the stairs.
Just as she was debating getting off at this floor, the doors slammed open. Revealing the dark headed girl she had seen earlier, she tried to hide a small smirk forming on her face. Brittany moved to the corner of the room as most people did when sharing an elevator. She nodded a greeting to Zelda, and crossed her arms and looked at the floor. She probably didn't recognize her, she thought glumly. She had to get that photo back, no matter the cost.

[ I'm replying so like if someone else wants to jump in here then that's fine with me] She sighed and stepped onto the elevator, not bothering to look up at the girl who was also in it. She could have taken the stairs really considering she was only on the third floor, but exersize wasn't her thing. She just looked down at her feet and waited for it to move. Whenever she was with her friends (I know what friends right lol?) She always convinced them to jump in it, because that was always a thrill. Or just press all the buttons so the person getting on next had to go to every floor. That wasn't as fun though. Now she just stood there looking at the ground. waiting for the elevator to move and it did.
but it stopped.
It seemed like it hadn't been moving long with it came to a stop, and Zelda half expected, with the optimistic side of her that the doors were going to open. She didn't want to get stuck in here, that wouldn't be fun, and well it was one of those things that she saw on T.V all the time but never really expected to happen to her. So when the doors didn't open, she turned to look at the other girl and let out a groan. What the hell were they supposed to do now? Wasn't there a procedure for this or something? She didn't know.
"I think it's stuck," she said. That was great, she was going to be come captain obvious now? she was mentally kicking herself for making such a blatantly obvious statement.

Brittany uncrossed her arms, and her eyes lifted from the piece of carpet she was studying. She pushed past Zelda calmly, then pressed all the buttons on the elevator. The room seemed to vibrate down a bit, Brittany turned with a coy smile on her face as if saying 'I told you so.' Not a second later, the elevator stopped. The tiny light overhead dimmed off, the generators kicked in moments later and the emergency light lit up the room. Her eyes were wide now, and she slammed her fist against the panel frantically. It /was/ stuck. Great.
She plunged into her purse to pull out her cell phone. Holding it up, she searched for bars. Why is it that in elevators she got no service?! "What do we do now?" She asked mostly talking to herself. She turned to the other woman in the room now, frown on her face. Was she really asking /her/ for help? This could be her chance to steal that photo back..

It stopped moving. She sighed again. She had wanted it to work, and to take them down to the first floor, so that she could get out of here. She didn't see how that was possible now that it was sort of stuck here. Sort of, well if she could think of another way out then it would be great, but unfortunately she couldn't and she wasn't sure what to do after coming to the conclusion that she herself had no signal by taking her phone out and holding it up, looking for signal when there was none.
"Wait for someone to get it unstuck?" she shrugged. "Unless you know some magic trick to bring it down from here," because that was possible. That was what she wished for at the moment, a magic trick to get them down, how great would that be? unfortunately she was stuck in an elevator with someone she didn't know, and couldn't you suffocate in an elevator? or was that just something they made up for stupid t.v shows? That made no sense because elevators weren't airtight were they? Hopefully not.

"Thanks Miss captain obvious!" Brittany hissed in response to the other girl. They had been trapped, what three minutes, and she already was having an attitude with her. Did she /look/ like a magician? She pressed the little red emergency button in the center of the panel. Hopefully they wouldn't be here for too long. Brittany moved over to one of the corners and slumped down to the floor, sitting with her knees upright and curled next to her body. "Have you ever been trapped in an elevator? It is not fun. I would not recommend it." She pouted, it wasn't even like Zelda was an attractive guy she could make out with or anything.
When were they going to get out of this DAMNED elevator?! What if she had to pee or something? She crossed her knees thoughts roaming to Rodney her brother... He would probably think she was dead or something being late to pick him up and all. She was never late. Moving her nails to her hands she began to chew frantically. She ignored the gross manicure taste it left in her mouth. This was getting ridiculous! She pulled out her ipod and turned it to some usher to try and calm her nerves.
[shes going bat shit crazy]

"Hey that's what you get for asking dumb ass questions...." she started to say her name but realized she didn't know it and left it at that. She figured she didn't really need to know her name, but maybe it would help depending on how long they were going to be stuck in here. She sighed once again, and did the same sliding her back against one of the walls of the elevator, and pulling her knees to her chest. She wasn't sure what to say to the girl, so she focused on her self, pulling her hair out of the side braid that it was in, and running her fingers through it in an attempt to smooth it out before pulling her hat off, and holding it in one hand and running her fingers through her whole head of dark hair.
She reached over to her bag and pulled out her camera, flipping through all the pictures as if that would give her something to do, since she couldn't pretend to be texting since that wouldn't work well in a place with no signal. She was looking for a good one, or just an interesting person. There was like a thousand that were really blurry and then some boring ones there wasn't really anything good she thought. So much for that, she kept clicking through the pictures though to keep herself looking busy.
[sorry for giving you like nothing to reply to]

This girl was really starting to annoy her. Brittany bit her lip, and thumbed through her ipod for something loud and obnoxious she could use to drown out the other girls presence. Twirling her finger on the volume she settled for some country music. She really hoped this elevator would move soon, what else were they supposed to do other than sit here and wait? She sighed feeling hopeless.
Her attention diverted back up to Zelda as she began to flip through her camara. "You're a photographer huh?" She asked sarcastically, the bitterness rising in her throat. That was it, she had snapped. Lunging towards Zelda she attempted to get her hands on the camera. "Give it here!" She demanded childishly. Her aim was horribly off, her head thunked on the elevator wall next to Zelda, and her arms waved frantically at air. "You took a bad photo of me and I want it g. o. n. e. !" She spelled out the word to exaggerate how important this was to her. Her eyes rimmed with sadness at her failed attempt. She was acting selfish, and immature, but really she had nothing to lose while in this elevator.
[its okay xD I thought o f something]

She was really confused by the girl's attempt to take her camera, and if she had asked then she would have just said yes and let her see it, it wasn't like she had anything weird on it. The only reason that she never let people touch it was because it was expensive. She raised her eyebrow at the girl that was stuck with her. "Are you gonna make me get rid of it?" she asked with an evil smirk turning up on the corners of her lips. This could be entertaining actually.
"What if I don't?" she asked. Her voice had changed in tone, to a mocking tone, as if mocking the girl for something that was entirely not her fault. Instead Zelda was holding the camera. She was mentally challenging her to come get it from her, and take it from her hands, but then didn't want to get in a fight with her, especially when there was no one around to shop it. Who the hell knew what would happen in that situation.
