Friendly/Helpful;
When he wants to be Kyle can be the friendliest guy in the world, and will help you with anything that's troubling you, because that's exactly how his parents were. They raised him well, despite all his other flaws, he'll always try and be nice to people who deserve it.
Cocky/Arrogant;
Sometimes Kyle can think a little too highly of himself. In small doses it can just come across as being confident. More often than not though he just comes across as a dick, but it's part of his charm. To people that he knows well he's usually not very cocky at all, it's more of a thing he is with strangers or people he doesn't like very much.
Brave;
Kyle is pretty certain there's nothing he can't handle, so it's easy for him to feel brave. If someone needs help he'll go out of his way to give it to them. Even if he ends up hurt, as long as they're okay then that's all that matters to him. Needless to say this sometime's backfires and he ends up getting in to trouble. Still, that's part of the bravery package and sometimes it cannot be helped.
Hot Headed;
Kyle has always had a problem with his anger, it's part of what makes him such a good fighter, but it can also be his downfall if he lets it get too far. Sometime's he can be so angry that he looses control completely, but the right amount of anger can be really helpful when practicing certain fighting styles. A great deal of things can set him off, anger wise. Big things, little things, he's really easy to get worked up.
Immature;
All of his childhood Kyle was mature beyond his age but once he reached eighteen his maturity just stopped ... Well, maturing. Now he's sort of stuck with the mindset of a teenager, which is great for getting along with his students, but can make it difficult to have adult relationships or get along with his colleagues. Some people love the fact that he's so youthful, but others ... Mostly the ladies, find it pretty annoying.
History
Stacey Dexton was not a good older sister. Honestly her parents should have known better than to trust their thirteen year old with their two year old son. The thing is, they were short on money, and babysitters are expensive. Stacey was rebellious from day one, she got in trouble at School, she got in fights with other girls, she was a trouble child, and her parents didn't know what to do with her. One night both of the Dexton's were needed at work, they saw no harm in leaving Stacey alone for the night with her little brother. They assumed she would step up to the responsibility, but they assumed wrong. Stacey not only ignored her little brother, but she invited near strangers in to the house, older boys that she'd only just met. Though Stacey was always clever enough to hide what she did, her parents never knew. When the siblings were alone Stacey would pick on Kyle constantly, and as he got older she only got worse with him. When Kyle was five her sister started to get physically abusive with him. Kyle tried to keep it a secret, not wanting to be a tell-tale and tell his parents, but after he received a split lip his parents figured it out pretty quick, but what could they do? Stacey was their daughter! They tried everything to get her to settle down and be a model daughter, but nothing worked. At the age of sixteen Stacey got pregnant and once she had her baby she ran away from home, never to be seen by the family again.
The baby Stacey left behind was named Adele, and Kyle's parents took her in as their own, because what other choice did they have? No matter how horrible their daughter was, this baby was their grand-daughter. Kyle didn't really understand that Adele wasn't his sister and so he always treated her that way. From the moment he set eyes on her he promised to protect her from everything, and always look out for her and love her, he was determined to be the best brother in the whole world. Kyle even used to sneak in to Adele's room at night and slept on the floor next to her crib to make sure no monsters could get her.
Growing up Kyle didn't have too many friends, he tended to just keep to himself, his 'sister' was his best friend, despite the six year gap. At School he was bullied for being shorter than a lot of the kids in his class, and it really made him hate the kids his age. As he got older he started seeking out friends who were more mature, which lead to him getting in with the wrong crowd. At age eleven Kyle was hanging out with sixteen year olds, and he grew up pretty fast. Eventually though these friends also turned on him and he got beaten up, a lot ... This sparked his interest in learning self defense, and soon enough no one wanted to mess with him. Let alone his family, which actually gained a new member when he was sixteen, his little brother Liam.
After going to College and studying Physical Education and self defense Kyle decided to become a teacher, mostly because he had no idea what else he wanted to do at the time. When he first started at Somerset High there was only a position for a photography teacher and he bluffed his way in to the job saying he was much better than he actually was. After a while he managed to become a P.E teacher as well.
