Heather is generally perceived as a pretty girl, but not in a traditional sense. She is different, unique, and looks very much like a character from a cartoon. She is captivating because of her unusual hair color and big pretty eyes, but her skinny frame is found repulsive by many people, although they don't have the heart to tell her.
There is something very childlike about Heather. It may big her seemingly giant, innocent eyes, or perhaps it is the face that she stands at a mere five foot three. She is very small and dainty, and it sometimes looks as if the wind could blow her over. She wears a rib caged necklace, and loves to dress anything Victorian and out of the ordinary. Many would label her as a goth because of the layers of dark make up she constantly wears.
Heather has an obsession with being thin, and has been striving to have the perfect body for the past few years. This has meant extreme eating habits, starvation, and liquid only diets. Not to mention vomiting up her meals. Her quest for the perfect body has meant that she will probably never be able to have children, and that her hair falls out in clumps when you run your fingers through it. None of this ever mattered to her though - there was nothing in the world anyone could say to change her mind. Her bones are visible under her pale white skin, and she often gets spots and patchy skin due to deficiencies.
Her hair is currently dyed pink, with some black parts underneath. On the underneath of her head, she has a few bald spots, caused by the anorexia, and her hair is in extremely bad condition. If you run your fingers through it, a clump may come out in your hand. Heather often awoke to find her pillow covered in hairs which has fallen out in her sleep. As a result of this, she is extremely self-conscious. Her hair is about shoulder length, and naturally falls into curls on her shoulders. Her natural hair color was blonde, but she dyed it for the first time many years ago. She can't really do anything fancy with her hair, as she is scared of it all falling out, but she enjoys to wear pretty headdresses, and similar things.
When she turned eighteen, she got a tattoo across her rib-cage, which simply says Free your mind. She had been keen to show it off, although nobody had really seemed that impressed. Infact, they seemed disgusted. It was clearly because she was so dangerously thin, and her rib-cage was showing underneath her skin, but Heather thought that they thought she was fat. This pushed her over the edge, but she credits the tattoo for giving her the final push she needed to achieve true beauty. She never got any more tattoos done since then, but she did get her bottom lip pierced. She wears a simple stud through the middle of her lip. Besides this, she has no other body modifications. She believes that the biggest modification she can get starts on the inside - weight loss.
Personality:
Her first impression would be a crazy little girl, who is very spontaneous and stubborn. Not shy in the least. If she doesn't like you for a particular reason, she will be blunt with you and tell you to fuck off. Heather has always had respect for everyone. She has been treated fairly well in her life, but she forgives easily, and puts her trust into people without a second thought. Her simple mindness may be her downfall trying to survive life. She believes that everyone deserves a second chance, and that everyone makes mistakes. Some people just make worse mistakes than others. This trait causes her to be used over and over again.
She is quite a logical thinker, and likes to solve problems. Other people's problems, that is; she compulsively avoids her own issues, and tries to pretend that she is fine. She dreads feeling like a burden, or like she needs to depend on other people to get her through something. Independence is extremely important to her, and she is not the first to admit when she needs assistance from someone else.
Although Heather has retained some impressive qualities, given her past, it was too good to be true that she had survived and turned out a completely well rounded girl. Heather has some wayward views on typical issues, and has a little fascination with murderers and death. The thought of what pushes someone to perform such evil acts is something that has always fascinated her, and she tries to put herself into their position, and imagine what they went through. This results in her sometimes defending their actions - this does not go down well in your average society.
Background:
Every person she's ever cared for was out of reach in one way or another. Either that, or cruelly snatched them away. Her father murdered her mother. It was a silly argument really. Over money, isn't it always? He took a knife and plunged it into her- over and over. It wasn't uncommon to hear them fighting. She used to hide under her blankets, absorbed in a novel to drown out the shouting. Usually she stayed out of it, but on that particular night the screams got worse. She ran down stars to find her mothers lifeless body lying limply in the hallway. The police arrived shortly after a neighbor reported screaming, and they tracked her father down and jailed him.
She was thrown into various places growing up, different foster homes and never felt happy. She would just stick her nose in a book everyday and pray for the days to pass. She still has horrible nightmares every time she sleeps. Like a frightened child, she runs from the sleep that never comes. The only thing that seems to cure her insomnia is smoking cannabis before bed. She is not keen on other drugs however, and hides the fact that she even does marijuana.
Other: She works at a gas station part time.

Dark brown eyes stared down at the notebook in front of him. His pencil scribbled lightly on the paper. He muttered a swear word under his breath, turning his tool upside down he erased frantically. No, that wasn't right. Pressing his palm to his head, he ran his fingers back through his short hair. The gel he used was garbage at the end of the day. The ends of his hair were beginning to fray into soft curls.
Glancing up from his failed master piece, he noticed a group of people eating some food. Transferring less then a month ago, the young man was unable to recognize any them. Besides, he didn't want to associate himself with any 'rule breakers' Noah was semi shy, or else he may have introduced himself to them. With such a short time left to graduate, the young man thought it was pointless to try and make friends. People just end up separating after high school didn't think? Besides, he didn't want to associate himself with any rule breakers. His nose scrunched with disgust as he watched the group spill crumbs on the library's floor. This was a place of study, had they no respect?!
Today he wore a black and gold stripped over shirt, underneath a plain white shirt and jeans. He slouched lazily in his chair, insecure about his tall height of six foot one. He rolled his eyes at the booming thunder over head. Turning to the clock, he watched the hands move slowly. Soon the bell would ring and he would be free. Thick eye brows crunched together in an angry 'V' shape. It was friday night after all, and he wasn't about to let a little rain ruin his fun. Oh the joys of video games, drinking, and swearing at little kids all weekend long. He only hoped his shitty internet wouldn't cut out again.

I have enjoyed writing ever since I became addicted to the internet at the tender age of ten. I was a 4.0 all throughout highschool though I never pursued any type of schooling after because my school was shit. The councilors did nothing to help me, nor inform me of the $4,000 scholoarship I was eligible for. Aaaaand my parents didn't help either. Hopefully though I will be able to start some sort of community college next spring sometime after I move back home in October (which that month I will probably be highly inactive with the drive and setting things up).
Oh! I am from Utah (: I moved 1500ish miles away to be with my boyfriend who lives in Indiana (where we currently reside) I met him about 4 years on world of warcraft (nerd love haha) and spontaneously left my husband last December to move out here with him. (Yes, I am married technically still) No, I had never met him before but it was like love at first site <3 for real. Shush. Okay done with that stupid rant about me. Who cares anyway right.
