Kazzie’s mind was everywhere as of late, which wasn’t surprising. She felt guilty for hiding things from Anthony, but she was hiding this from everyone. A part of her was still in denial about the fact that she was pregnant. She was over month pregnant, and still holding out on telling anyone. She hadn’t even told her best friend, Chandler, back home about it. She almost did, but she couldn’t do it. She’d partially dial his number then walk away. It wasn’t that she was a coward, though she was scared, but she just didn’t know what to do. She tried to operate like she normally did, but things weren’t the same.
She thought she was hiding her slightly paranoid behavior from Anthony, even when they hung out. Before she knew she was pregnant, things had started to heat up during their hangouts. After Christmas it was practically free game whenever he was ready, but then she went to the doctors. She had lied to him about it too, saying it was just a stomach bug that would pass. She didn’t need him worrying about anything at this point, no one needed to.
She was just worried that he wouldn’t want to be a father, and that thought was terrifying. She wanted her baby to have the best life possible with two loving parents. Kazzie was fully committed to her child, but she couldn’t speak for Anthony. He was young, they both were, and really neither of them was ready for such a huge responsibility. It didn’t matter now though, because she wasn’t getting rid of it, she was going to love it with all of her heart.
Today was the day she was going to test the waters about the whole baby thing. Babysitting Cici was their most frequent hangout thing to do, and she loved it. Cici was simply perfect in every way, and a part of her wanted her own baby to be as adorable as Cici. Since Anthony was the child’s godfather, Esme didn’t feel the need to frequently check up on her daughter, trusting Anthony. Esme and Jon had gone out for a little alone time, which they totally deserved. Having a kid around made spending quality time, just the two of the, extremely rare.
Kazzie had grabbed every Disney movie she owned and shoved it in her backpack. It was heavy, but totally worth its weight in gold. Nothing beat a Disney classic. Anthony was already at the house, and she was simply going to drive over in her own car to meet him. She hadn’t really spent a lot of time getting ready, just enough to feel confident and be comfy. It wasn’t long before she was parked in front of the beautiful Russel abode. Kazzie noted that Jon and Es had already left, which meant Anthony and Cici were inside. Walking up to the house she didn’t knock on the door before entering, still amazed by how lovely the home was.
It wasn’t long till she heard laughing and located Anthony and Cici in the family room. A huge smile was on her face as she approached the two. “Hello, love,” she greeted Anthony, laying a quick kiss on the lips before her attention turned to Cici,” well hello there, Cici! Ready to have a night filled with Disney classics?” She didn’t even know if Cici was aware of just how timeless and Disney classic was. She never got tired of them, and really appreciated the humor behind it. Kazzie looked up from Cici to Anthony, her heart fluttering a little bit. She wanted nothing more than to have a moment like this with her own child, and hopefully with Anthony by her side. Maybe when Cici fell asleep she’d test the waters about babies.
