Appearance
Emily is fairly average in stature, she's around 5"5, and is slim but quite 'sporty' in build due to her involvement in three of the Schools many sports teams. Though the sports she does are more stamina related rather than strength so she still retains her feminine shape. Spending a lot of time outside has left her with a lovely tanned glow, which she keeps even by adding tinted moisturizer to places that are less tan, she would hate to look uneven. Emily's hair is a light chestnut colour which she changes up every now and then by adding lighter, or darker coloured highlights. Usually she chooses lighter for the Summer, and darker for the Winter, because that seems like the logical thing to do. Emily's eyes are a piercing blue colour. Usually her eyes are fairly free of dark make-up like eyeliner, and she tends to opt for dark brown mascara and neutral shades of eye shadow. Emily spends a great deal of time on her make-up every morning, though it could be hard to tell, as all her efforts go in to making herself look as 'natural' as possible. It would be very unlike her to leave the house without make-up, as for her it would be like leaving the house without clothes on.
Clothes and appearance in general are very important to Emily, they always have been ever since she can remember. If she doesn't feel like she looks as perfect as can be, then she isn't happy. Bad hair days are her worst nightmare as she'll spend the entire day worrying that she doesn't look her best, and at every chance she gets she'll be trying to fix the problem. Emily's wardrobe is somewhat of an awe inspiring thing. Every item she owns is designer, fits her perfectly and is never more than six months old. It would be hard to believe that Emily isn't shallow, because she might just be a tiny little bit ... But in all honesty she appreciates how privileged she is to be able to afford such nice things.
Overall Emily is very pretty, though she thinks there's room for improvement, she strives to be the best she can be, and that goes for everything. If someone were to compliment her on her looks she'd give a very modest 'thank you', but in he back of her mind she would wonder if they were lying.
Personality
Perfectionist - Emily strives for perfection, it's as simple as that. Why not want to be the best? It's tough, and stressful, and sometime's it's all she can do not to break down and cry, but she saves the tears for her dorm when no one is around. That way she's not ruining her perfectly cheerful reputation out in the School. It's become a little OCD as of late, not a hair can be out of place, not one crease in her dress, it's tough, and hard to explain.
Intelligent - The first thing Emily ever truly discovered about herself was the fact that she was smart. Smarter than all the other kids in her class. Smarter even than her parents in some aspects. School was easy for her, and she liked it. In fact she loved School so much that when given the chance to skip a grade ... Or two, she declined. Skipping grades meant less time in School, and she didn't want that.
Friendly/Cheerful/Helpful - I think this all fits together as one. Emily is just a really nice girl, willing to help anyone out that needs a hand. There's a smile on her face, even when she doesn't feel like smiling. Sometime's her cheerfulness can be a little much, she's somewhat reminiscent of a Disney cast member. Some people really hate her for it, and call her fake, but most of the time her cheerful personality is 100% real...

History
Emily grew up in Preston, Connecticut with her mother, father and older brother Elliot. The family lived in a beautiful Victorian style home with everything they could ever need. Emily's father owned a Law firm, and due to its success his wife was a stay at home mom. When Emily was born Elliot was seven years old and had already been spotted as a rising soccer star. For some reason Elliot just had a sheer talent for soccer. Every Summer his parents would ship him off to soccer camp, and they spent thousands of dollars getting him the best personal trainers, the best shoes ... They even had a soccer pitch built in their back yard. Elliot was the star child, and even from a young age Emily knew that she was second best. Despite her being the smartest in her class, being well mannered, well dressed, cheerful as can be ... Nothing caught her parents attention like Elliot did. Though this never stopped Emily from trying.
When Elliot was fourteen he went to camp in the Summer, like he always did, but this time ... He didn't come back. There was a fire, a camp fire gone wild due to how dry a Summer it had been. There were a lot of survivors, but Elliot wasn't one of them. Emily was only seven at the time, but she can remember it to this day. The angry yells of her father, being told over the phone that his son had died, the ugly sobbing of her mother sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Emily cried too, of course she did, because her brother was dead, and she knew she could never fill his shoes.
Things were never really the same after Elliot died. They had the funeral, and said goodbye, but the sadness still lingered in the Winchester household. Over time Emily's parents grew apart, but never divorced. It was as if they didn't see the point, though they fought almost constantly. Emily felt like the only time she was mentioned was during these fights. Keep it down, you'll wake Emily! Don't raise your voice like that you'll frighten Emily. It hurt, but she soldiered on. Straight A's in class, polite as ever, always a smile on her face. Emily even took up soccer, hoping it would make her parents proud, but it only made them reminisce, so she packed it in.
When Emily was getting ready to go to High School her parents thought it only right to send her to the same one Elliot had attended, and so Emily was sent of to Boarding School in New York.
