It was Christmas eve, and he was really trying to make her like Christmas, it was hard. It really was and he didn’t know why it mattered to him, honestly it didn’t he would still like her either way. It was more of a bonding thing, He kind of used it as an excuse to get to know her, because he didn’t want to get too far into this relationship without knowing her. Well, it wasn’t a relationship yet but eventually it would be, maybe. If he ever got the nerve to ask. Which he was working on. He pretty much got every Christmas movie that he could find some of them looked lame, but he didn’t really care.
“I got Elf… uh… The Grinch…” he started listing all the movies off, “Rudolph.. the Muppets Christmas… and pretty much every other Christmas movie in existence, take your pick,” he shrugged. Hopefully this was working and she was liking it, he really wasn’t trying as hard as he had been at first to make it the best Christmas ever, but he was trying. Mostly just to spend time with her now, because he liked it. She was really amazing, and he liked her. He was really getting to know her spending all this time with her, and he probably didn’t need this as an excuse to see her every day.
“Or… we could just not watch any,” and with that comment he winked at her. He really wasn’t trying to turn the whole thing sexual that was just his sense of humor.

Hannah was already feeling anxiety coming on. She had all hopes to avoid a panic attack this year, but it was definitely going to be hard. She was trying to be strong, at least for Aiden's sake. Christmas was just not her time of the year, though. All of the memories it brought up made her shudder. She was glad that she had someone to hang out with, though. For the time being, he really helped keep her mind off of things. For that, she was grateful. She she stared at the multitude of videos he had brought her, she felt the overwhelming need to thank him, for being so kind to her. Without even trying it, she found herself pulling Aiden into a hug, snuggling up to his chest for just a moment, enjoying the feeling of being enfolded in his arms.
"Thank you," she murmured, wrinkling her nose in genuine happiness. She felt it all slowly sinking away. The pain of remembering, the heart-racing and scary anxiety she felt all day - it was just numbing, becoming less. She detangled herself from his arms, and smiled. "I think we should go with... Elf." she decided, picking it up. "I've never seen it." she shrugged, ignoring his snide little comment - she had come to realize that it wasn't always meant to be sexual, he just always said things like that. She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively anyway, though, hoping they could just snuggle on the couch, and maybe kiss a bit, at the very least.
She put the DVD into the player and flopped down on the couch, pulling their coffee table closer. She had a bowl of M&M's, a bowl of assorted wrapped candy (Smarties, Now and Laters, the works), and a big honking bowl of popcorn. Plus, a few cans of Dr. Pepper (she had hoped he would be okay with that). Curling up in the center of the couch, her favorite viewing place for the TV screen, she patted the couch next to her. She was glad Sierra wouldn't be coming home to interrupt anything - she was off at a "friends" house for the night. She had taken a very slutty looking Santa's Elf costume with her, so Hannah assumed she wouldn't be home for quite a while.

“Yeah no problem, I’m just spreading the holiday cheer,” he said in an excited voice. “You’ve never seen it?” he was shocked by that comment because who had never seen Elf? Well that made this about ten times more fun, but that also meant that she would probably watch it rather than make out with him the entire time. Which, he didn’t mind, that much. To be honest he didn’t care he was fine with cuddling, so when she motioned for him to sit down next to her on the couch he did that.
“You’re gonna like it it’s really funny,” he said. He liked the movie Elf, but it wasn’t the greatest movie either, there was definitely better ones, although most Christmas movies were really serious. Those were boring he couldn’t sit through a serious movie, or those stupid romance movies. Whenever he watched Elf though it made him wonder what it would be like to be an elf, that seemed really fun. Maybe he was just a weird person but he thought it would be fun to make toys and test them and what not. He was like a gigantic kid anyway, so running around in a room full of toys would be fun for him.

{ www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=91344423 } "Nope, never seen it," she shrugged, hitting the play button on the remote. She honestly had no clue what this movie was about. An elf, of course, she gathered that much. She remembered seeing the commercials for it when it first came out and when they aired it again on TV around Christmas time, but she never really was interested in watching it. Even though she had picked it out this time, she would have been fine with just making out the entire night. Then again, this was the first time they were watching a movie together. It was practically a date - and they definitely needed those kind of things in their life. They weren't a couple and they weren't exactly best friends, either. Though Hannah knew everything about Wednesday, she knew nothing about Aiden, really, except that he had an amazing personality, and a great sense of humor. She smiled at him as the opening credits played and music started. Her heart began to sink, looking at those happy little faces on the TV. She honestly hated Christmas, but she was willing to make an effort for Aiden. She sighed, lightly, and absent mindedly ran her nails along her arms, feeling the raised scars, remembering that Christmas... She leaned her head against Aiden's shoulder and smiled up at him. "Good, I like funny movies," she commented. "Laughing is the best thing to do, ever." She knew he was a jokester, and that's what she liked about him. He always had something funny to say, and it made her happy. Laughing was a good thing to do, the best medicine, some would say.

“Well you’ve been missing out, on an honestly… not that great movie,” he laughed. “I mean it’s ok, but it’s not the best… it always makes me want to be an elf though it sounds fun,” and he could spread the cheer all year round, that sounded like fun didn’t it. He really didn’t know where any of this came from, or what he was even really thinking. He didn’t know how where his thoughts were sometimes, his head was an interesting place to be.
“Oh really?” he replied to her comment about laughing being the best thing to do ever, of course it was. It was the best medicine, and well it was fun. He tickled her a little bit, and grinned at her. “Sorry you asked for that one,” he stopped because he remembered that she didn’t like to be tickled. He didn’t think she did anyway. He couldn’t remember but no one liked it really, it was only fun to watch the person you were doing it to squirm. He felt like he knew her pretty well… when he actually knew nothing about her. He knew that she liked to do hair, and that she was a good kisser and her bra size. He knew that she was amazing, but wasn’t there more to know about her. He didn’t know every detail about her, but he knew that she didn’t like Christmas for some weird reason.
Speaking of that. “You never told me why you hate Christmas so much,” he whispered.

"Oh, did I choose abad movie to watch?" She asked, hearing him say that it was only an okay movie. She couldn't really change her mind now, though. They were already being introduced to a comically large elf named Buddy, and she was at least a little bit interested in what was going on. "You would want to be an elf?" She grinned at the thought of him in tights and a cheerful hat on his head. She even added a large candy cane to the pictured elf Aiden, and snickered. It would be an adorable outfit. "Well, your hair is already green, so you have half of the red-and-green Christmas thing going on. I'm sure you'd be a great elf - you're great at being kind and helpful, right?"
"Oh!" She chirped as he tickled her. Squirming, she playfully batted his hands away with a giggle. She wouldn't say she disliked the treatment, but she was awfully sensitive to touch. "Jesus, Aiden, you know how ticklish I am." She wrinkled her nose and pretended to hold his hands back so that he couldn't get her.
She let go of him when he said that she never told him why she hated Christmas. Ah, that was a hard subject to discuss. "I don't want to ruin your Christmas mood..." She said slowly, looking down at her lap self consciously. Half of her wanted him to ask, to have someone to talk about. But she was a selfless person at times and she knew that telling him could potentially ruin their movie night.

It wasn't a bad movie so to say, it was just stupid. Not stupid like it made no sense or annoying stupid, it was more stupid funny, like it was funny, to him anyway. At least she hadn't picked a sappy movie about loving your family or something, because he was pretty sure he had some in the bunch that he got. To be honest if he was an elf he would probably break all the toys and then little kids would end up crying on Christmas because they got a melted babrie doll, or the legs and arms and head of an action figure but not the body, or a real penguin to cover up the fact that he lost the real one, that might be dead by the time it go to their house. That was really sad to imagine, actually.
How horrible would that be if you went to open a box and all you wanted was a stuffed penguin, and you got a dead penguin. That would probably scar that child forever. Or if it was still a live what would you even do with it? Can you even keep a penguin as a pet? What if it was too hot for it? Now he was thinking about penguins and what you did with them, and ended up coming to the conclusion that penguins would be one of the worst gifts ever. It was one of those gifts you had to keep up with, like a plant, or a puppy. Even though puppies were pretty darn cute. He didn't feel like buying food for the thing, and feeding it, and taking care of it, he just wanted a puppy that didn't require you to take care of it. Which was basically a stuffed animal.
"Yeah, I mean I could be a totally amazing elf, I don't know about the tights thing though, I bet they feel really weird," he decided not to continue that sentence because he was pretty sure she didn't wanna hear about that. When she said she didn't want to ruin it for him, he bit his lip. He wasn't sure he wanted to hear it, but then again he wanted to know, he was curious, and he wanted to know more about her. It was a personal thing though, and he was pretty sure he could handle it, but that statement also made him wonder what else she had done not to ruin his spirit. "You know you don't have to do this just for me?" he asked. So maybe he did sound a little bit like he wanted her to, but if she had really wanted to object he would be ok with it.
"No, you can tell me," he said finally. "If you want to," he didn't want to sound like she had to tell him, because in all actuality he cared about her, and he just wanted her to be happy, and if she didn't want to tell him then it wasn't going to change how he felt. If it was personal then maybe he didn't need to know.

"Well, an elf in colorful skinny jeans then?" She suggested, a little bit teasing. "I have to admit, tight pants are a total turn on. But if you were wearing those pointy elf shoes with bells and a hat that has stripes like a candy cane, I might have to turn that one down," she joked, not really meaning anything by it. It was true, however, that she liked skinny jeans on a guy. But she wasn't into the elf thing at all, that was too much of a Santa fetish thing. Just thinking of that (and the fact that Sierra had left to do god knows what with a Santa's helped costume) made her skin crawl.
He mentioned that she didn't have to do this, and she shrugged. "I may not like Christmas, but I like hanging out with you." She admitted with a soft, somewhat sad smile. "It's hard to explain... I'm just a bit scared to say..." She whispered, wringing her hands in her lap. This was difficult to tell anyone, especially Aiden. As much as she felt the strong connection between them, even something she might call love, she was nervous to tell him. Rolling up her sleeves slowly, she held out her wrist. There really weren't that many scars. They were mostly on her legs and stomach and those she could hide. "But you know about these .. so you should know why I hate Christmas."
She breathed in deeply, feeling a slight amount of anxiety building up. Ateast she didnt have to worry about him judging her. He had seemed to not have any prejudice or harsh words to say when he saw them. "I was thirteen when I started, and almost fourteen when I tried to kill myself." She murmured. "It was Christmas and I knew I didn't want to spend another year of disappointment and despression... So on Christmas eve I tried to kill myself, because I wanted to do it as soon as possible, before new years." She traced thick bands of scars in the inside of her arm, the crook of her elbow. They were white now but still prominent. "After Christmas, when I woke up in the hospital, I tried again, and again, until they stuffed me into rehab and eventually I got better."
She breathed out slowly, sadly. Without a thought she leaned against his shoulder. "I hope I'm not being clingy. It's just that I get sad around this time od year and hanging out with you helps."

“Could you imagine me with those bell shoes,” he laughed. “It would be so annoying, because I’d be that one elf that would walk around sharking them in everyone’s face to make noise. Everyone would get so tired of me because I’d exaggerate the bell noise so much, just to get on people’s nerves, it would be really entertaining for like a day before I got annoyed of it too… but the hat would be pretty cool, it’s pointy so I could just go around ramming my head into people and pretending to be a unicorn… “ he was getting really off topic but the point was to make her laugh.
“I would be the funniest elf ever,” he said he ignored the fact that she had said that she would say no if he wore the hat and shoes, because he was having fun thinking of what it would be like. “All the other elves would probably like vote me out of the north pole because I was the most annoying elf ever, “he laughed. This was probably not the best time to try and make her laugh since she was probably being serious and about to tell him something serious, but he couldn’t be serious for more than point eight seconds at a time.
He listened to what she had to say, and was surprised at it, but didn’t know what to say. “You know, I don’t really care if you don’t like it, and you’re not being clingy I like hanging out with you,” he didn’t know what to say to her. He really liked her and the fact that she had tried to kill herself was kind of depressing. He really couldn’t imagine what he would be doing right now if she wasn’t here, maybe sitting around with the family and eating dinner awkwardly, or maybe just watching Christmas movies by himself and eating ice cream like a sad girl. Ok so maybe not that part, but then again there was always Jem, but he liked the thought of spending it with her the most.

"Okay, now that you mention doing silly stuff like that," she considered it. "You'd be a totally cute elf. I can see you and Jem being crazy weird and doing strange elf stuff," she said with a laugh, poking him gently in the side. She likes how much he could make her smile. As always, she wore a grin around him and wouldn't stop smiling for a long time after he left. whether it was just movie night or sex in the shower or hanging out at build a bear, she always liked hanging out with Aiden. He made her happy, genuinely so.
"Thank you, Aiden," she murmured, snuggling against him. she couldn't remember if he was the kind of guy to cuddle or not, so she didn't push it for too long. Instead, she sat up and hit the pause button so that their movie stopped. "It probably sounds really cheesy but you make me like Christmas, at least a little more than I normally do." She said, leaning in to plant a soft kiss upon his lips.
