Cassidy fiddled with the little corner edges of the papers on her script as she read through her lines. Though she'd memorized most of them, she still wanted to make a point to have them all down correctly so the words didn't sound too weird coming out of her mouth. She was hardly the shy girl, but her role called for her to act like it, so she needed to try her best to make it all believable. She'd watched High School Musical about five times since she'd found out she'd gotten the role just to try and channel Gabriella's character better, which helped a little, but it didn't help the fact that she thought she could still perfect it.
It comforted her a little knowing that Aubrey would be playing Troy -- the onstage chemistry was there and that was something important between actors to have in order to make everything seem genuine. Plus, it couldn't hurt to make new friends. Cassidy's wheelchair used to sort of put a damper on that, not because people didn't want to be friends with a girl in a chair, but because she normally just never let anyone close enough because she thought the only reason anyone would want to hang out with her was because they felt bad. Now, she was free of it, and every single friend she made now she was sure didn't pity her.
She sat on the edge of the stage, biting her lip and swinging her legs along as the ground was a few feet beneath her. Running a hand through her hair and setting her script aside, she scrunched her eyebrows and looked up, "Is Alison late again?" she asked aloud, "We need to start."

One of Elizabeth's favorite movies in the world was High School Musical so the idea of having a lead role was incredibly exciting and how awesome that she looked like Sharpay! Or at least she thought that she did even though everyone else didn't seem to see it. She wasn't nearly as loud and flashy as her on stage persona but that wasn't going to be a problem! She'd decided to really embrace the role by doing things that she could imagine miss Evans doing like spending all of yesterday shopping for pink sequinned tracksuits and she had a ridiculously big pink bow in her hair. This was honestly perfect, wasn't it? Now they just needed Alison to finally show up or at least give them some directions on what to do while they waited for her. "I bet that she's throwing up again.. I saw her earlier running out of Dino's office looking like she was going to hurl."
It was obvious to her at least that their drama coach currently had one in the oven and she was willing to place money on that Mark Daniels being the father. He was really the only logical choice in her opinion.. If it was another member of the faculty or some boyfriend then why wouldn't she announce it before it became obvious that she was showing? "I just hope that she hurries up because we really have a lot of practicing to do before Aubrey's girlfriend comes barging in here to supervise y'all." She knew Caroline quite well so she was aware of the lack of trust that was currently going on between her and Cassidy despite reassurance that Cassidy wasn't some insane hick man stealing whore bitch cunt slut lying asshole bitch low-life piece of scum who would actually go after a man with a child. What kind of a terrible person would want to risk breaking up a family and ruining some poor little girl's life in the process? Thankfully nobody like that currently attended this school.
She moved to sit down on the stage and decided to busy herself on her phone for the time being. Would her iPhone let her order things online? She could totally get into online shopping while she waited.

www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=91246531www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=91249016So she fell asleep in class, more than once, it wasn’t like she was missing out on anything was she? She didn’t know what she was missing out on because she was sleeping, and ended up being told that to serve her time instead of giving her a detention she would have to go paint sets or something. ‘Cause that sounded like fun, she also decided t drag Skylar a long, because it was his dad that gave her a detention for falling asleep in geography class. She knew she shouldn’t have blamed him for her staying up late to do homework, or dance. She just needed someone to complain about. So she showed up in the theatre, wearing sweat pants and a t-shirt, ready to paint scenes or something. Whatever they needed her to do so that she could just get this over with. She had to pretty much beg him to come though, and even pulled the whole, but I’m your best friend card on him, and then he said something about how he could find other friends, which she assumed he meant Morgan. He had been spending a lot of time with her lately. “You know it’s not my fault my dad gave you detention right?” Skylar said as she dragged him through the doors. They were close friends, of course so he knew that she was going to drag him here anyway. She just didn’t want to be alone when she was painting stupid scenes, and she didn’t know anyone else that would do it with her. Hell she didn’t even know how to paint stuff, it was probably going to come out looking like a mess. She didn’t care though she really didn’t wanna do this anyway. “Shh you need to participate in things,” she said in response to him. Skylar didn’t really feel the need to do after school activities. He was the kind of kid that didn’t do them, well besides band because that was at least a little bit fun. “No I don’t,” he complained when they got into the theatre. They were doing high school musical? He had done a play before as an extra or something, but didn’t find it that fun. Neither one of them knew where to go when they got there, so they pretty much just looked awkward standing there waiting for someone to tell them what to do.
