Caroline thought that she would never be able to have a somewhat normal teenage experience. She didn't think that she would ever have another slumber party after she gave birth to her daughter two years and six months ago. Camila Elizabeth Sawyer was the greatest blessing in her life but she would be lying if she said that she hadn't made some pretty serious sacrifices over the years. She'd given up her body to another life for nine months when she was only thirteen years old.. She hadn't even yet fully gotten use to it being her own body when she'd gotten pregnant! But Aubrey really surprised her when he actually told her that he would spend the night with Mark so she could have a girls night in with Camila, Raine, Bronwyn and possibly Estelle if she felt like coming tonight which nobody was sure if she would. It was just nice to have at least Raine there since she had been spending so much of her time with Elliot lately. It was like they never saw her anymore! Camila was definitely eager to see one of her favorite aunts especially since it had been a couple of weeks since she had. She really was a super aunt; she was currently sitting on the floor with a very calm Camila and she was painting her nails pink with Hello Kitty designs. She wasn't a terrible child so it wasn't like she just ran around all night like a wild escaped monkey but she did have her moments like any normal two year old would. She didn't expect her to be like this all day long in any means. "The pizza should be here any minute." She bit down on her bottom lip which was a horrible nervous habit that she needed to break but she just didn't know how to. What else was she suppose to do? Were they having fun? It couldn't be fun! They were watching Finding Nemo for goodness sake! But they had to understand that she was a mother first and foremost and she couldn't put her daughter to bed early so they could watch something like Sex and the City.... Okay so she was probably the only one who wanted to watch that but it was her favorite show.. No doubt. The living room looked rather decent considering that she had a two year old with a bad habit of bringing all of her toys out and spreading them throughout the house. She was about to comment on how adorable that the sight in front of her was with Raine and Camila when she heard a knock at the door which she assumed was the pizza. She was correct and went to get her purse to pay the man and brought the pizzas to the table. She didn't usually allow Camila to have unhealthy foods like this so it was a really big treat. "Pizza is here." She said in a singsong voice as she went into the kitchen to get plastic plates. It was kind of strange to serve her friends off of colorful plastic plates but they didn't have anything glass or even remotely adult like since it was just easier this way and she didn't mind nor did Aubrey. Pineapple and Bella were staring at the pizza on the table like it was literally food from the Gods.

Raine had absolutely no idea how difficult that it was going to be to paint designs on such little fingernails. She knew that young children have small hands therefore small nails but hey on the bright side, it was good practice for when she and Elliot eventually got married and had children in five or ten years. "You are just the cutest thing in the world." She commented with a small smile as she kept her eyes closely on the little girl's nails to make sure that they were absolutely perfect. She was a wonderful aunt and she would clearly be a good mother one day despite what she seemed to believe about herself. She use to say that she never wanted children. She would rather dance for the rest of her life than give everything up for another little human being who leeches off of the mother's body for nine months and then potentially off of her breasts even up to years if you decide to let them wean themselves.
Then she met Elliot and he completely opened her eyes to the possibility of a life like the one that she had always been so against. It wasn't that she didn't want love or marriage because she had been seeking prince charming but she imagined that it would be a child-free by choice kind of an arrangement. "Your daddy is going to be so jealous of your nails, Nutella." Nutella was probably an odd nickname for a child but it had stuck because that was what Caroline typically called her. It was because Caroline had kind of actually wanted to name her daughter Nutella because it was unique and she'd be the only girl in her class with that name but that was vetoed by Aubrey's parents thankfully because that name would lead to a lifetime of teasing but that didn't mean that it couldn't be a very adorable nickname.
Raine finally finished Camila's nails and well she didn't quite know how to stop her from smudging the polish on something so they were practicing what she called 'hands in the air ballet' which was actually just a bunch of dance moves that she made up in her head but Camila didn't need to know that! It was creative ideas like this that proved that she could one day be an amazing mother to her children. She was patient with her non-biological nieces , Camila and Cassidy and she would be the same way when her newborn siblings were born. They only stopped dancing when the pizza had arrived and Caroline got everyone plates and cups of soda for everyone well aside from Camila who was getting juice.
She let Camila run to her mother so she could get her food and lingered back more with Bronwyn, "I can't get over how cute that kid is..." She mumbled under her breath before looking up at the clock. Damn Estelle for not being here! "Okay, serious question time... If you were Elliot and found out about the f-i-g-h-t that I got into with Chelsea then how pissed would you be when I told you?" She was honestly terrified that he was going to find out somehow.

Estelle seemed to be the only bunch of er friends who seemed to stray away every so often in order to do her own thing, staying closest to Raine, most of the time, because well, best friendship of course. It wasn't because she loved them any less or ranked them lower than anyone else in her life, she just got so caught up in anything she did. When she started working at the studio, she almost never went anywhere else. When she and Gene got back together, she practically lived in the Richards home. Okay, not really, considering she never spent the night -- but Estelle was certainly there a lot so it was basically the same thing. Basically.
She'd been invited to the slumber party and hadn't exactly given a straight answer as to whether or not she would be going, since she wasn't particularly sure how motivated she was to get out of bed. All that hard work and hours she spent with dance definitely took its toll on her... but, who knew the next time Caroline would be able to do something like this? So what if she was still a little bothered by the fact that Caroline had dated Eugene before? That was for two seconds, come on now. Estelle loved her regardless! Besides, she was with Aubrey anyway and they seemed happy, absolutely not a threat to her relationship.
So, the blonde stood outside the door of the apartment and knocked, biting her lip nervously as she hasn't spent time wih all of her friends together in quite a while. What if they didn't miss or want her there anyway? Her heart pounded and she looked down, fiddling with the ends of her hair as she waited.

"She really is." Bronwyn was mesmerized by Camila considering that she had been friends with both Aubrey and Caroline for a really long time. She could swear that Aubrey would have never settled down so quickly. Still, if these were the medieval times, this would have already bound to have happened. Quick start, sorta... Kinda? So maybe it was frowned upon in this new society but Bronwyn loved this small family no matter what anyone said.
She knew Estelle was busy working and she was with her cousin, Eugene and as we all know the Richards always made you feel welcomed and like family. And they had a big house so that was definitely a plus. As for Bronwyn, she was seeing Diego but she missed hanging out with her three best friends, too. All four just were in sync together — like those girls from that book series.
As for the Chelsea subject.... Bronwyn actually didn't pay attention to that girl. She was irrelevant to her life but when Raine told her about the fight she got into, she tilted her head to the side as she was taking a bite from pizza. "What?" she said in a slight whisper. "I don't even know why people pay any attention to her..." she shook her head and massaged her temples gently. "If I were Elliot I'd probably be pissed that someone was messing with you. But what happened?" she wanted know. She even let go of her pizza and as we all know Bronwyn loved her food.
She got side-tracked by Camila and how pretty she looked with curly bun and dainty clips. Luckily she had thrown away her brooches that her mum put on her hair when she was younger. Some even had real diamonds. Bronwyn then turned her attention back to Raine, all ears.

"Okay so I was reading online what happened between Chelsea and Kegan because I heard from Esme that she had said something really horrible but we all know that sometimes Esme can be a little too sensitive. She thinks that saying that you don't look as good in red as you do in pink is practically an insult." Raine laughed weakly at the thought but realized that she was just changing the subject. "Sorry but anyway, I was thinking how rude that is to say to someone. I mean I don't really know Kegan that well or at all really but I do know that he seems like he is an amazing, dedicated father and fiance to Thalia." She didn't think that it was fair to ever accuse someone of killing the person that they love. She felt just as intensely about this as if someone were to accuse Elliot of being at fault for Ashley's death. What kind of a sick twisted person even thought about saying such a horrible thing?
"He obviously cared for Dexxie if he stuck around during the pregnancy as a friend and didn't run away the second that she told him so he didn't deserve that and chances are, he's probably already told himself that a thousand times. I blamed myself completely when Elliot tried to kill himself and if someone had actually gone as far as to say it was my fault that it happened then it would have really hurt." She bit down on her bottom lip as she tried to think of a more classy child-friendly way of saying the next part of her story. Caroline wasn't a super protective mother who wanted to keep her daughter away from all violence and curse words but she would probably mind if she was encouraging violent behavior even if it was to defend someone else. "I called her and I was like 'dude, you went too far and you need to apologize' and she made up some excuse and said that everyone was just making a mountain out of a molehill."
She cleared her throat as she moved forward to grab a slice of pizza and place it on her plate, "So we got into an argument on the phone and I told her to meet me at my house and one thing led to another and we ended up getting into a fight. She tried to push me down my stairs but it didn't work. She totally kicked my ass but I mean.. It was worth it and she agreed to stop talking shit about Kegan." She didn't really know if that was true but she wouldn't know until the next time that Chelsea was around Kegan. "I just hope that Elliot doesn't get angry with me."

Camila was a very well-mannered child when she was eating so it wasn't even a thought in Caroline's head to worry about that. She was just sitting peacefully with her plate of pizza and her sippy cup of juice. She probably could use a regular cup by now but her mother was desperate to keep her a baby because she was certain that she was only ever going to have one child so she wanted to make the most of this one. She didn't want to look back on these years and think that she forced her to grow up before she was ready to even with small things like cups and potty training well maybe not so much potty training.. She kind of really wanted to be done changing diapers but there was no real way to hurry that along. Children have a horrible habit of excelling in areas that their parents want them to slow down in and slow down in areas that they want them to excel in.
The next sound at the door was probably Estelle or someone else but she didn't really know who else it would be unless someone was coming by to sell her drugs or ask her if she sold.. The answer to both would be an obvious no. Did people really do that? Go door to door looking for someone to buy drugs from? She had never heard of this happening until she and Aubrey moved into this neighborhood but what was she going to do about it? They were living here on government assistance because the prices in better neighborhoods was just simply too high. Ingrid had warned her about rats and other disgusting rodents but so far she hadn't seen any of those. Raine and Bronwyn were too busy discussing something to really seem to notice the door so she skipped over to let Estelle in. "Guys, Estelle has arrived!"
She wasn't surprised when Raine basically threw her plate on the table so she could rush over to hug Estelle like she hadn't seen her in years. The two of them always seemed to give off lesbian vibes and if she didn't know better than she would honestly believe that they were secretly together but Eugene seemed to genuinely love Estelle just as Elliot did Raine so that put the beard theory to rest. "Okay you two..." She smiled to herself at the thought of how cute that they'd be together before glancing back to the pizzas, "There's food if you're hungry, Estelle and I was thinking we could play truth or dare or never have I ever or something."

While eating her pizza slice, Bronwyn attentively listened to Raine although because she kept changing subject, she lost track of what she was saying. When she finally put everything that had relevance to what she was trying to make point of, Bron knitted her eyebrows. Did Raine not realize that she shouldn't have interfered with the beef happening between other people if she didn't want some of it to wipe on her. She then dusted her hands up before reaching out to take her cup of soda and have a drink from it.
She cleared her throat before saying, "That girl is just, I feel that she's mentally disabled." she shrugged. Mentally stable folks don't just make crappy insults at others, mindless to be quite factual and Chelsea was one of those people. "That depends if you want Elliot to know. You don't really have to tell him about it. That was just a mistake by picking a fight with someone who may or may not have capacity to understand well." Bronwyn explained as well as she could to her.
When Caroline announced that Estelle had arrived, Bronwyn looked up and smiled brightly. "Estelle!" she chimed happily. She then tilted her head to the side, "Um, I'm up for it!" she exclaimed.
