Name: Spencer Eggleston. He’s ok with people calling him spence, but only friends. Students can call him whatever they want and he’ll respond, but he doesn’t really like being called by his first name, some students though he Is on a first name basis with.
Age: 36
Subject taught: French, geography
Appearance: Spencer is not at all a bad looking guy some would say. He likes to think so as well. He takes care of himself. Although he might be seen sitting in class grading papers with his messy hair and stubble and reading glasses, and might not look like the most attractive person ever, he generally likes to maintain his image of being somewhat attractive. He has a sort of dirty blonde hair that he likes to grow it out sometimes, but other times he will wear it buzzed. He tends to have a shaved face, but likes to keep the option open so he might have a little bit of a beard sometimes don’t judge it.
He has a professional sense of style, from the top but mostly goes with jeans for the bottoms, because he likes to be comfy. Weird yes but he does what he wants. He also wears glasses for reading sometimes, when he wants to admit to himself that he can’t see.
Personality: Spencer is a really nice guy. He doesn’t really like to start trouble and will avoid it at all costs, which makes it not that good at disciplining his students. He sometimes lets things go too far, which may get him in trouble in the long run. He really likes to think of himself as a caring person though, and even though he might not seem like the kind of teacher that you would come to when you need help he is. After all he has a son that age and he knows what it’s like to go through that. If he geta angry with you he will probably start yelling at you in French, because he tends to go back to speaking that when he’s mad.
He really doesn’t sound that bad speaking English though, considering he has been speaking it fluently for almost twenty years his accent has sort of faded and he speaks it well. He really likes to make jokes about it though and tends to be pretty laid back when people ask him about it. He really is just a laid back person, and doesn’t like to stress out over things. He turns in things at the last minute and wait until the last second to grade papers. It’s really such a stressful life being a teacher.
He sort of feels bad for some students and is that teacher that will ask you to stay and talk if you’re having trouble, and tries hard not to let anyone fail. Even the kids that disrespect him, so be nice to him and he’ll try his hardest not to fail you.
History: Spencer was born in Lille France. He grew up there with his parents, but when he was Fifteen years old his parents decided to get a divorce, and his father dragged him across the world with him to the United States of America where they had to build a new life, Spencer debated moving back a few times in his life, but never did it. For some reason he found himself liking the states even though it wasn’t as great of a life.
He went to a public school in a small town, and learned English slowly. At first he spoke so little that he couldn’t even communicate with teachers but eventually he learned, and made friends. He was a smart kid he made good grades even though he had to try harder than most of them because he didn’t speak English well. He somehow made it work, he learned, and all through high school he kept his grades up. He realized then that he wanted to be a teacher, because why not right?
He ended up getting his collage half paid for when he earned a scholarship. But worked through collage, and one night at a party he met a lady. She was pretty, and of course he’d been with a few others before her, but he was drunk, and he wasn’t paying attention to what he was saying or doing. He didn’t know that he forgot the protection, and didn’t even bother to ask her. They just went at it, and the last thing he remembered her saying was that she liked his accent.
He was almost ready to graduate and move on in the world as an educated man, with a degree when she showed up to his apartment when he was getting ready for work, left a baby and a note at the door. Telling him that it was his, he managed to track her down by what was in the note and by the time he finally found out who he was but then learned she had died at a hospital not far from there. So he had a child to raise, and he did it. He got a job and raised his son like any other person would.
Eventually he found another woman, and dragged his son out to new York. Where he found a job in a high school, where he decided to send his son. He was planning on marrying this woman who moved him to New York and out of the small city, too bad she ditched him at the altar. He wanted to move back to the city, but his son convinced him otherwise and that he had friends in the city and that they should stay here. So they did.
