(( www.polyvore.com/jetch_first_dateeee/set?id=88507186 )) After spending the night with Hudson, Sam, and Etch... Jenny realized how much of a sweetheart Etch really is. She had only heard about him around schooling being one of those crazy party guys and she didn't expect him to act how he was acting that night. So that took her by suprise. They had been texting a lot lately and even in the hallways they'd wave or hug each other previously since then. When Kevin texted her asking about going and skating at the ice rink with him there was no way in hell she could say no. Almost exactly after Etch had asked her and she saw yes, she called Hudson to tell him all about it. Jenny pulled up in her car and walked over to the bench that was at the front of the entry to the building which had a ice skating rink in doors and sat down. It was still lightly snowing outside but she didn't mind. She had always enjoyed the cold. She was there about ten minutes early so she sat with her little purse pocket book thing and pulled out her hand mirror and checked her make up quickly. She pulled out her Chapstick and reapplied it before putting away and looking around. She pursed her lips before looking around for a small check to see if Kevin/Etch was here. After a couple more minutes of sitting in the cold she went to stand up and a care caught her attention as it pulled up in the parking lot. When she looked over at the car she saw it was Etch and smiled. She waited by bench until he got out of his car and walked over before smiling at him and giving him a hug. "Hey!" She smiled before turning her head towards the door of the building and smiled. "So, tell me. Have you ever gone ice skating or do I get to see you fall on your ass a couple times?" She turned back to him and started to laugh so he could see that she was just teasing him.

Hudson had been with Etch for the past hour dressing and redressing him. Hudson had always known a thing or two about fashion, and was certainly better than Etch at dressing to impress. After landing in a navy blue long sleeved tee and a pair of faded jeans, Hudson handed Etch his own skates and pushed him out the door with a smile. Not once had Etch ever been ice skating. Rollerblading he could do. But put him on ice and the whole thing changed. Having brought a coat from his own from his own room, Etch slipped it on and slung the skates over a shoulder before heading out to his car.
Upon arriving at the rink, Etch parked and sat for a moment until he noticed Jenny waving him down. He was a bit nervous, he hadn't actually asked a girl on a date in a good while. But.. was this even a date? All he'd said was "do you wanna go skating". He didn't even say "with me". But the fact that he'd blindly asked her and can't even skate made him think it was a date. He would've never asked anyone else to ice skating with him.
"Fall on my ass?" Etch mimicked with a smile as he leaned into the hug a bit. "Yea probably. I'm not very good on ice." Taking her hand (a bold move), Etch smiled sweetly at Jenny and lead her into the building. After paying the woman at the desk, he moved through the big blue doors and came to find himself receiving a cold breeze again. Why he'd thought it would be warm in there wasn't clear. But he had, so the breeze made him shiver a little and squeeze Jenny's hand. "Little nippy, huh?" he said, turning his head to look at her before guiding her to a bench where he sat and slipped off his sneakers.

Jenny laughed when he mimicked her a playfully nudge him with her elbow. When he grabbed her hand she felt her face suddenly turn red and she looked up and smiled lacing their fingers together. She followed him inside and waited next to him as paid. When he guided her through the blue doors she leaned slightly closer to him as a cold breeze and let a small laugh when he squeezed her hand in his. "A little? More like very." She said with a laugh and sitting down on the bench next to him. She slid of her vans before pulling on her white sparkly ice skates she had brought with her . "So, I'm taking it in my hands to teach you how to ice skate like a pro." She said before standing up. She took his hand and pushed open the little gate to get onto the ice. She held out her hand for him to grab for balance and once he got in she pushed the gate back closed. "So, try not to lean too forward or too back or else that whole falling on your ass thing will happen." She teased. She still had her one hand holding his and she turned around to face him. "Bend your knees and like, stick out your butt as awkward as that sounds and just lean foward holding my hands." She laughed as she said that before taking both of his hands in hers and starting to skate backwards looking at him as he started to shake trying to keep balance. (( 24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9c4ijMAPj1rrpvxio1_250.gif )) It took a while but once she had gotten around the ring about one and a half times with him she loosened her hands in his. "I'm going to let go now. Try and keep balance." She said with a giggle she couldn't keep in. He looked so focused on keeping balance even when she was helping him. God knows what would happen when she let go. She moved her hands out from in his and leaned up so she was standing straight up and watching him. She kept her hands out still just encase he needed help at all he could just grab onto her, but she was pretty positive he might have got it all under control.

Etch slipped his feet into the black skates he'd borrowed from Hudson and laced them up pretty tight. If he knew anything about ice skating, it was that the tighter the skate, the easier things would be. Or at least, that's what he'd heard. Or really just assumed. It made sense though, didn't it? ...Didn't it?
After getting on the ice, Etch felt a very sudden pang of fear that he'd never thought he'd had before. He didn't want to fall, he didn't want to smack into the freezing ground. Not only would that be embarrassing, but it would hurt like hell. So he now found himself squeezing Jenny's hands harder than ever before. He felt like a child, but right now he didn't really mind. He just didn't want to fall.
Sliding forward a bit on his skates as she glided backwards, Etch smiled awkwardly and let out a quiet huff as he watched his knees wobble. Why was this so difficult? "I uh.. this is not easy," he said with another uncomfortable chuckle as he looked up at Jenny who was having all too much fun helping him. "Y'know next time we're doing something YOU don't know how to do," he said with a wink as they began around the first curve.
After a couple laps of still standing like a runner about to take off with his butt in the air, Etch felt Jenny letting go. "No no no, don't let go!" he said quite like a child as he reached to cling to her sleeves. But she was quickly withdrawing and Etch suddenly felt like he was going to fall straight through the ice. As their hands parted, Etch kept his arms straight out in front of him, his fingers spread as if ready to catch himself at any moment. "Skating was a bad call," he said with another chuckle, looking up at her before his feet began to slip from under him. After flailing a bit, Etch finally caught himself. He sighed a 'phew!' and then BOOM. Feet up, butt under, head back, and on the ice. "Shit," he whined, looking up to see if Jenny was laughing. He was sure she would be and he felt himself blush.

Jenny giggled when he winked at her. "Someone I don't know how to do? I know how to do a lot of things... And who says there will be a next time?" She winked back teasingly and couldn't but get butterflies. She hoped so badly there would be a next time. She watched him as he gained balance a couple times and said something about how skating was a bad call and she started laughing again. "Why? I'm having fun!" She teased; When she saw him fall on his ass and curse she bit her bottom lip and tried not to laugh but it just came out. She saw him start blushing and couldn't help but think about how cute he looked.
Jenny moved her skate to the side stopping herself from skating before going over to him. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be laughing." She chuckled before bending down and grabbing his hand. She went to go help him up and as she pulled him up and he started to get up, they both ending up falling down. She landed on her knees and palms right beside him and couldn't help but start laughing harder then before. "I'm sorry."She laughed out before crawling over to the side of the rink and grabbing onto it helping herself up.
Once Jenny had gotten up she held onto the side of the rink with one hand and with her other hand she offered it to Etch helping him up finally. When they were finally standing up she looked up at him. "That was interesting..." She started giggling again before rubbing her hands together from how cold they were before grabbing his hands in hers trying to get them warm. She felt her face get warm from grabbing his hands which made him slid over to her making them chest to chest .
As their chest met she lifted her head from looking down at their hands and felt her face getting redder than before. "I was.. I was trying to warm my hands by grabbing yours... I- I um.. Sorry..." She was stuttering as she walked as she felt herself feeling dumber than ever. "Sorry."She muttered looking down making her forehead rest on his chest on accident and muttering sorry again now feeling her cheeks were probably burning red.

"Stop apologizing," Etch said softly with a smile. "You didn't do anything wrong." Pulling his hands from hers for a moment, he held hers between his and tried to look at her face, but she was still looking down. "Don't make me squat, I'll fall again," he said as he tried to get her to look up. And when she finally did, he just smiled.
"Warmer?" he asked, quieter than before. A couple people had been looking at them, and a couple kids had stopped to stare. They'd all eventually moved along, but Etch hadn't even noticed. He was far too focused on Jenny right now. "You're really pretty," he said a moment later.
What a lame compliment.

Jenny looked up at him when he made her laugh. "Am I really that short that you'd have to squat?" She laughed. She watched as he took her hands in between his and when he asked fi she was any warmer she nodded with a smile. "A lot warmer." She looked over and noticed a couple people staring and her face got red again. She looked back over at Kevin and couldn't help but blush once more when he called her pretty. She knew she was pretty, but to be called that by a guy who was... So perfect like Kevin? It made her feel so good on the inside.
"Thank you," Jenny looked him in the eyes and smiled. "You are too... Well, I mean. Not pretty but... You're very handsome. " Jenny laughed about the fact she had said he was pretty too. Jenny leaned her face close to his so this one couple who were still standing by the staring wouldn't hear. "People are staring at us..."She whispered close to his face before moving her hands from in between his and just grabbing his lacing their fingers together. She started moving a little bit away from the couple so they were moving on the ice away from the people. "They were staring... It was awkward."She laughed when they got a little bit away from them.

"Well thank you?" Etch cocked a brow when she called him pretty. He knew what she meant, he just wanted to be an ass about it. "My mom tells me I'm pretty too," he added with a cheeky smile as she got closer and mentioned someone staring. He'd noticed the people staring, but hadn't really minded it. She seemed bothered, though, and that point was only made clear when she started moving away from them.
"I don't mind people looking," he giggled, looking back at the couple that had been staring at them and lifting a hand from Jenny to give them a wave. The couple seemed confused and both looked away. Etch only laughed and turned back to Jenny. "Y'know.. since you're holding on, I'm kinda getting better at this skating thing," he said, looking down at their feet. She was standing so perfectly. He, on the other hand, was standing like a horse. "Don't let go," he said quietly as he started to back away from her a bit, only wanting her to come with.

Jenny's face turned red as he teased her about calling him pretty. "You know what I meant. But hey, if your mommy tells you you're pretty, I can't go against it. " She stuck her tongue out at him before watching him wave to people. "I mind. But then again i'm just very awkwardly shy, you're a little social butterfly." She smiled at him when he said he getting better at this and followed his eyes to their feet before watching his feel start to go the other way. She listened to what he said as he pulled away following him. "You look funny skating," she teased before looking around at a couple of people who were also skating. "So, next time what exactly are we going to do that I don't know how to do?" She asked in reference to what he was saying earlier about them doing something he knew how to do but she didn't.
As they were approaching a corner she stopped her one ice skate before slipping her skate behind his so he would stop moving once they were against a wall. He was in between her and the wall and she smiled up at him. She moved her hands from his and wrapped them around his neck. "Ya know, i'm sure it's not only your mom that tells you you're pretty. I'm sure it's everyone else too." She teased looking up into his pretty brown eyes. "You're really cute," she whispered before thinking for a second. She hadn't really ever been one to make the first move, but with him. She wanted to really bad. She leaned forward before pressing her lips against his.
