( www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=88606608 ) “Yes mom,” she sighed trying to hold her phone to the ear and curl her hair at the same time. This was nearly an impossible task to do without knocking everything over, and so far she was making it work, but not really paying attention to anything her mom was saying on the other end of the phone. “Well I hope you like the dress,” she said. “I do,” She reassured her mother. She was in the middle of curling her hair, which was already somewhat curly when her mom called her and told her to take pictures. Since her mom had sent her the dress. Stormy wasn’t sure where she got it from, but she had been talking to her mom about it one day, and then a few days later there was a dress for her in the mail. She didn’t get shoes with it, so she had to go and find her own shoes. After she tried on the dress, and stared at it for a while wondering if she should wear the cheetah print heels that she wore on Halloween. Stormy didn’t really like the idea of dressing up, but she liked the idea of the dance, because she could do that. She didn’t care that it was cold out since they were going to be inside the gym the whole time. She hadn’t seen it yet but she head it had been decorated nice, and even if it wasn’t the same thing as homecoming because the person that had mad it awesome had died. It was sad yes, but they had to move on. She ended up deciding to go get a new pair, and found one with less cheetah print, and a jacket so that she didn’t get cold. When she walked into the gym she was surprised by how cool it looked. They must have put a lot of effort into making it look that good. That always meant that it was going to be a good time. She decided to go get some food first, and ended up standing by the punch bowl and pizza.

"Nick, honey, do you want to take your date in the Porsche?" his mother called out from her room down the hall. "Mom, no. I'll take my car. It's fine," he replied, fixing the tie around his neck. He'd worked much too hard to conceal the fact that his family had more money than they knew what to do with. It may just be a bunch of green paper, but Nick knew that it was more trouble than it was worth. Money brought all sorts of problems to everyone. He would much rather have just enough to get by than the amount his family has now. Even his parents got a bit snobby at times, and if it weren't for his grandfather's down-to-earth nature, Nick may have been the worst Redfield yet. On top of all that, he didn't even have a date to the winter formal! Not that he would tell his mother that and risk having her call every wealthy woman in the city to set up a blind date. Nope, that would've been a nightmare. In spite of all this, Nick really just wanted to have some good, clean fun tonight. No drugs, sex, or alcohol included nor required. He just wanted to be a normal teenager in high school tonight. If this room was the place where sweaty kids dodged balls and climbed ropes, it sure didn't look like it. Whoever was in charge of the decorating committee deserved some kind of award because the gym looked fantastic! Nick wasn't able to get out of the family dinner earlier (she's a health freak and insists that everyone eat before six), so he wasn't very hungry. Instead, he crossed over to the food table and got himself a glass of punch. "Hello," he greeted Stormy, who was already there. Nick didn't know her on a personal level, but he knew of her and how good she was at dancing. ( 24.media.tumblr.com/5742d906f926405ad8d72909bff9af2e/tumblr_mp1aqi2dRW1s80m7po1_400.jpg )

Morgan had looked forward to winter formal all year, she usually looked forward to every school event! But that old spark inside of her, that glimmer... it had gone dim after Gavin passed away. Mentally, she had prepared herself for the day that would happen but she never thought it would have happened so soon, and it hit her, hard. She was a sensitive being and she got hurt easily, but the support system she had built up was outstanding. Morgan was already friends with the boys from POW but they had really, really been there for her after the passing, and Morgan was grateful for that. They'd helped bring all the smiles back to her face, that twinkle in her eyes.
Out of the bunch... Morgan found herself getting closest to Skylar, which made sense, what with the others being busy with their significant others. And he was who Morgan arrived with that night. It took a little convincing from Anthony, but it was time she took a chance and let herself have fun and really be happy again. Morgan especially didn't want to bring Skylar down when he was such a sweet guy, and besides... she wanted to.
So, there she sat with him, scoping the room and admiring the decorations just as she normally would at those events, then finally looking to him, "Thanks for taking me," she smiled at Skylar, "it means a lot."

Skylar was surprised that Morgan had even said yes. He didn’t want her to think that she had to, he was just being nice, and besides there was other things that they could have done instead. He didn’t know how to feel about the death of his friend, but he had been there for Morgan, and it was helping to have everyone from POW there, but Morgan was probably the closest to Gavin, and he really wanted to cheer her up. He figured that Gavin wouldn’t want her to be sad forever. Well that was what he was telling himself.
In all reality though, he was saying that, and now even thinking about the fact that he might have had a tiny crush on her, and the fact that Gavin would not be very happy about it. He didn’t want to think about that, because he wasn’t trying to get in trouble with some ghosts or anything. So he asked her to come, even it if was just as friends. He didn’t want her to be sad, and maybe this would make her happy. Besides. He was probably going to come anyway. It didn’t matter if she wanted to go or not, Esme thought it would be good for him to meet girls so he wasn’t an extra wheel.
So it was good for him to be social, even though his dad was there as a chaperone. Somewhere and all his friends from POW where there too, so he would probably just end up with them the entire night. He wasn’t sure where Esme was though. “It’s no big deal,” he told Morgan. “I just wanted you to have fun.”

"Do you promise that you'll call if she's any trouble at all?" Esme rarely enjoyed leaving her ten month old daughter at home for any reason even with the best babysitter in the world so it wasn't much of a surprise that she was having a tiny panic attack after dropping her off with Cooper. It wasn't that she didn't trust her twin brother because she honestly did but the idea of not being there if something happened was just enough to drive the redhead absolutely crazy. What if she woke up in the middle of the night and wanted her mommy? Or if she started feeling sicker? She was just coming down with a small cold but you never really know with infants since a fever could spike in minutes.. Okay maybe that was just her own personal irrational fear coming out again.
Could anyone blame her? It wasn't like this school hadn't experienced quite a bit of loss as of recently and she just had this gut instinct that something terrible was going to happen if she wasn't with her baby at all times. Logically, she knew that it was her damn pregnancy affecting her brain and kicking her maternal 'mama bear' urges into overdrive but so far logic wasn't winning this mental war so she'd already called and texted Cooper seventeen times in the past five minutes.. Oops. He was being oddly patient with her, just calmly explaining over and over that Cassidy was sleeping peacefully. It was so much easier to keep track of children before they come out of the womb damn! She could still remember being pregnant with Cassidy this time last year and thinking that all that she wanted to do was hold her new daughter in her arms.
She wasn't looking forward to the end of this pregnancy like she had been with Cici. She obviously wanted to meet her new baby but she was genuinely enjoying this pregnancy and she'd never felt more confident in her body. Hell, she was feeling so good about herself that she was openly standing at the snack table with a plate of cookies in her hands as she watched all of the cutesy couples walking in. Everyone just looked so nice tonight that she wanted to give all the compliments but that might come off just a little strange so she kept her mouth shut and remained with her cookies which she thought were perfectly baked and perfect in every way.
Plus she baked them.

Renting a party bus for something as small as a winter formal probably seemed very wasteful and flashy to most people but Ingrid honestly saw no problem with it. This school had recently experienced quite a bit of tragedy what with the shooting, the president dying, the principal quitting and one of the more popular girls at school moving back home to Georgia. Things were certainly looking up these days though as Gabriel Harris was doing a wonderful job as student body president plus he and Mark just seemed to mesh so well together! If Mark wasn't dating Elaine and Prudence Keaton didn't seem so damn thirsty for Gabe's D then she'd actually ship the two of them romantically just a bit. Okay so she actually might still ship them just a little bit regardless of that fact and the whole neither of them being gay thing. She'd definitely mentally questioned Mark's sexuality but this whole Elaine situation meant that he was probably not gay. You can just never be completely sure about some people.
She was, however, completely sure that her dashing prince charming of a boyfriend was not gay. If anything it seemed as if he was actually more 'Ingrid-sexual' than anything just as she considered herself to be 'Leonardo-sexual'. It was just a natural blending of things though, nothing forced or demanded from either. She wouldn't be offended if he found another woman attractive just as she knew that she was allowed to potentially find other men attractive or speak to them in a friendly manner. She wasn't nearly as jealous as that girl that Wyatt Parks had dated previously. She used to assume that it was just because she'd been with her boyfriend for three years so there was much more trust built up but maybe that wasn't true. Jonathan and Esme had so much more trust in their marriage than Wyatt's ex seemed to have had in him. Sure he'd cheated on her before but she'd made the choice to forgive him which meant that she had made the choice to get the fuck over it. He just didn't seem like he deserved all of the nagging but that was truly just her opinion.
"Baby, I love you." She'd been telling Leonardo that she loved, appreciated and needed him a lot more in recent times. It wasn't like she didn't always let him know her true feelings because she always let him that she cared but it just wasn't usually this much. She just felt like everyone was breaking up right now and one of her greatest fears was that he'd find someone better or realize that maybe he'd missed out on the single life and wanted to try it all over again. She had no reason to feel like this other than the fact that it seemed like every romance was ending in horrible heartbreaking ways even relationships that seemed to be ending in. Leonardo wasn't that type of guy though and she knew that. If he was even a little unhappy in their relationship then she expected him to let her know before doing something as drastic as just breaking up with her out of the blue.
The party bus was actually far more fun than expected even though her sister was there and sort of cramping her style just a wee bit. It wasn't too terribly bad since they were getting along a lot better these days than they ever had during their childhood. She was actually discovering that her sister was a pretty cool person on the inside and they shared quite a few thing in common. She probably shouldn't have been surprised about that considering that they'd grown up together and they weren't that far apart age wise. "Eleanor, be safe!" She called to her younger sister as they separated upon entrance to the gym. She refocused her attention on her boyfriend immediately after; it wasn't her job to keep her little sister safe! It wasn't like anything else bad could happen at this school, right?
"Did I tell you yet that you look very handsome tonight? Like you always look really nice but just you know. I'm really glad that we could come to this. You really have no idea how much that you being such a supportive, loving partner means to me." She was just feeling exceptionally sappy tonight.. Could anyone blame her? She was going to one day *hopefully* be lucky enough to call herself this man's wife. "I know that I tell you this all of the time and you're probably getting sick of hearing this but I just... I feel like you need to hear it every single day and I wish that I could scream it from a rooftop."

[ www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=88676096 ] Kazzie had been to her fair share of school dances like proms, homecomings, and ring dances, but never a ‘formal’. She assumed it was like a school dance just more relaxed and an accuse for girls to get dolled up. She debated on even going, but after some thought she decided she didn’t want to miss out on things her first year there. Now the question was, to be ‘pretty’ or ‘sexy’? As of late, she hadn’t really been feeling her strong independent self. She didn’t see herself as the possible mysterious new girl. In short, she felt as though she had lost her sex appeal. Not having sex in over a month could do that to a girl, but that wasn’t the point. Rummaging through her closet, Kazzie chose a nice pearl embellished black dress. Getting ready was fairly easy, and she actually enjoyed the task. She had forgotten how much she enjoyed pampering herself to look good. She debated an updo or an over the shoulder look, and after looking through pinterest she went with an over the shoulder look with curls to show off the back of the dress… or lack of. She was pleasantly surprised to find a pair of black heels that matched the dress. She assumed she had bought the dress and the shoes at the same time and just couldn’t remember it. She didn’t wear a lot of jewelry, just earrings and a pearl bracelet. Doing a once over in the mirror she was very satisfied. After a quick toke, she was out the door and to the formal. The walk to the formal was slightly awkward, but she tried to ignore it as much as possible. The gym wasn’t too far away and there were enough people heading to it that she felt like she didn’t stand out. She took note that many people arrived with dates or in groups, but she waved it off. Once inside, Kazzie headed toward the snack table. Of course she didn’t have the munchies, she was just really hungry. It surprised her to find Esme standing there by herself eating some cookies. After the dinner, Kazzie felt more comfortable around the small female. Besides, she figured she had passed the tests before her and was free to converse with Esme freely. “Esme,” she called out slightly walking over to her, motioning slightly to a plate of cookies in her hand that Esme herself seemed to be eating,” did you make these? They’re delicious.” They did taste good, and if anyone asked she would lie about having eaten three already. Kazzie wasn’t exactly sure what she should talk about. After the death of Gavin, everyone seemed really down. She tried not to bring it up around Anthony, his fellow friend in POW. Looking about, she couldn’t help but notice that Jon wasn’t around. How strange. “Where’s Jon?” she asked looking around once more just in case she had missed him. Anthony wasn’t there yet, but that’s because had to do the “manliest of things”. Kazzie didn’t ask questions and had just assumed it meant doing something with his hair. She didn’t want to be the kind of girl to keep tabs or a leash on him before they were even dating. Finishing another cookie, she turned to Esme and took another step to reduce some distance. “Dinner was lovely the other night. I thought I’d thank you again for it,” she said genuinely. The food was amazing. “I just want you to know that I really do care about Anthony,” she said softly in their private conversation. She knew that her potential relationship was limited to POW and Esme,” I don’t have an ulterior motive to be with him. I really just want to make him happy.” Kazzie was looking Esme in the eyes and she hoped she understood.
