Skylar was bored, and feeling a little sad about being the extra wheel, and about Gavin. He was one of his best friends, and now he was gone. It was kind of sad actually, but he didn't want to be sad about it forever. So he decided to hang out with an old friend. He texted Sadie, who he'd met from doing a play once, if she wanted to hang out in the park, and of course he brought food. So it was like a picnic. He felt like he hadn't seen her since the play and they were really hitting it off. He just hadn't talked to her since then, and decided to talk to her again now.

He'd been texting her lately and thought she was pretty cool actually , but they never got to hang out, and Esme kept telling him to hang out with other girls so that he wouldn't be an extra wheel, but now wasn't really since Gavin was gone and Rasberry turned out to be just a fling. Oh well. If he had a girlfriend he wasn't going to let her meet Esme anyway, that whole dinner thing seemed way to intense, and all he wanted was food.

So he sat on a bench and checked his phone she was supposed to be showing up soon. What gave him the idea to have a picnic when it was cold as fuck outside he didn't know, but he was here so it didn't matter they were going to have a good time.

Sadie had always thought Skylar was cute, before and after the play. And ever since they had to kiss for the play she had always felt awkward and shy around him during drama and everything. And when he texted her and started talking again, she couldn't stop thinking about him since. She knew Skylar was one of Jon's friends and she was friends with Esme so she even asked Esme about Sky and of course he had nothing but good things to say about him. And that just made her more excited about hanging out with him when he asked her to meet him at the park for a picnic.

Sadie never really kissed anyone before Skylar in the play and that's probably why she was so nervous about talking to him after that. She had never had a boyfriend, never had sex, and had never been kissed before Skylar. She found it a little odd that he was asking her to go the park when it was freezing cold but she didn't question it. She was too excited to even think about offering to go somewhere else when he asked her. Sadie pulled her car into the park parking lot before starting to walk the side walk which had a little bit of snow on the ground. It was still snowing slightly but it was very little snow coming from the sky.

When she spotted Skylar she felt her heart skip a beat and act as if it dropped down to we stomach. She walked up to him pushing her hair off her shoulder before walking behind the bench so he didn't see her and she put her hands over his eyes and whispered " guess who?" in his ear. She giggled before walking around the park bench and giving him a small hug. "How have you been?" She asked placing herself on the bench beside him with a smile suddenly feeling those butterflies come back to her stomach again.
