Name: Aaron Barden
Age/Grade: Aaron is sixteen, and a junior. His birthday is June 3rd.
Sports/Activities: Aaron is on the swim team, as well as in Chorus and Drama. Outside of school, he goes to shooting ranges for fun.
Appearance: Aaron has a thin, lean body. Over the years, he's worked his hardest to become as muscular as possible - but it doesn't show very much. He has to keep trim and fit for the swim team, and is always on the newest health kick. If he's not dieting, he's exercising twice as normal - it's just what he does. He wants to be healthy as possible, and there's never a day where he's not up-to-par. Some people think he's amazingly lucky, but he works hard - even his immune system is buff. He hasn't gotten sick in three years.
Aside from having a healthy appearance, Aaron has a muted red hair (yes, he's a ginger). His eyes match his sister's, with a hazel-green tint that changes in the lighting. One feature he hates about himself is his freckles. While the rest of his family was blessed with only a small bit of freckles, he was cursed with billions of them all over his face. Even his arms have freckles - but he calls them sunspots. While some people think it's cute, he despises it.
Personality: Aaron believes that everyone should be kind to one another. He's tried to go through his life without starting any drama or hurting anyone. He hates to see anyone in pain - animals, people, it doesn't matter. It's not to say that he always wants to be the hero... but he wants to make everyone better. It's one of the reasons he wants to be a doctor, because he wants to help people. Aaron is a kind, compassionate person. He may not be able to walk a mile in everyone's shoes, but he can empathize. His imagination allows him to see what it would be like for a person who's hurting, and if anyone needs him, he's there in seconds when there's a call.
Though he is kind, he's not weak. Aaron isn't so much of a fighter as a mediator. If someone tries to start something with him, his reflex is to calmly think his way through it. He doesn't like starting drama. Aaron has always been that "best friend" kind of guy. He's there for you when you need him, he'll help you out when you want a hand, and he won't complain. He treats females like women, he treats his friends like princes, he treats everyone he meets like family. Some people say it makes him stupid, but he himself thinks it makes him strong. He's willing to take the risk of liking everyone. Even if someone lets him down, he looks at it with a positive mindset. That's Aaron - positive.
History: Aaron grew up in a small town in southern New York. They had one of those perfect neighborhoods, where the kids know each other and the back yards are connected, and everyone is happy. There were bonfires on Wednesdays and barbecue's on Fridays. Sleepovers involved every kid on the block. They could play football in the street because everyone there was safe. There was never any danger.
Aaron never knew what it would be like to live on the edge. He didn't want to know, or need to know, either. He just wanted to live safely... but Becca, his sister, didn't. The girl who used to be his protector turned into the sister he needed to keep his eye on. When Becca started doing drugs, drinking, partying too hard, he was there to take her home. When she got into fights, he gave her a kiss on the head and told her everything would be alright. But he couldn't protect her from everything.
His niece, Heather, was born two months early, in the garage of an empty house. He helped deliver her, held her in her first and last moments of life. That was an eye opening day for him. He realized he couldn't help everyone. However, he wanted to be a help to some people. The hours he spent in the hospital with Becca made him realize how much respect he had for the people who save lives everyday, like soldiers, doctors, firemen, surgeons. That was the day he knew he wanted to save people for a living. Not for the money or the glory - just so that he knew he was making a difference for someone.
