Name: Elijah (Eli) Ryan Winters
Age: 18.
Gender: Male
Grade: Senior
Sport/club LBGT
Appearance Just look at the picture or I’ll eat you Eli isn’t the type of guy who cares to much about what he looks like. In fact most days he lets hair hair do as it pleases, or puts on a hat to cover it up if it’s too much of a hassle to run a comb tough it, and he has been seen with stubble on his face from time to time because of being too lazy to shave. He is one of those skinny lanky boys who doesn’t really participate in sports, or activities that involve actual work. For the most part the only thing he does is skate to keep himself moving, and he does that only occasionally, when he needs time to think about something.
His sense of style reflects the same way into his clothing habits. He wears whatever he thinks looks good. When people talk about it, it isn’t always easy for him to turn his back on them, but he thinks he has an amazing sense of style which for the most part is just him buying random clothes that he likes and putting together outfits that don’t particularly match. For the most part however his brown hair and brown eyes make him an average looking boy, nothing special, about him that makes him stand out from the crowd, and that’s the way he likes it.
Personality Eli is an easy going guy for the most part. He doesn’t care what you say or do, if you’re nice to him he’ll like you. He doesn’t believe most of the rumors, so if you ever commit social suicide and need someone to talk to he’ll be there. The way he would deal with those types of things is to straight up ask you about anything he really feels like he needs to know. For the most part Eli is a shy boy though, he doesn’t do much talking. He just likes to observe things, and learn about the people through what he sees. He won’t hate you just because he sees you doing something wrong.
He doesn’t say much to people he doesn’t know, but once you get to know him, he is a great friend, and basically a huge teddy bear. He’s a sweet guy, who would do anything for a friend. He likes to laugh, and oddly once you get to know him, and get past that shy wall he puts up he isn’t really a serious person. In fact he is probably the one that would rush to your side to cheer you up by telling you stupid jokes if you’re a true friend.
Generally Eli is a smart cookie. He spends a lot of time on his work because he is a true perfectionist, which is also the reason why he’s so picky about his friends, and relationships. He doesn’t want a friendship that will last a few weeks and then get thrown aside for some other bigger thing; he wants a lifelong bond. His relationships, are usually far and in between. He doesn’t have many, and he struggles with them, once you get into that relationship stage with him he turns back into that shy guy he was when you first met him. He wants things to go well, and some people might say he tries a little too hard to get it right.
He’s a hopeless romantic, and while he doesn’t believe in defining his sexuality to just one gender he does mostly go for guys these days. He’s a bit self-conscious though; to be seen holding hands with a guy in public for fear of what people will say about him, because in that sense he is a bit of a hypocrite, and doesn’t care what other people say about someone, but he cares what people say about him. He might be the smart kid who works hard to earn his grades, but he doesn’t want people to think he’s a nerd. He might be a little bit gay, or leaning towards guys, but that doesn’t mean he wants everyone to know about it.
He doesn’t like to rush things. He’s slow about things in a relationship, and with friends, it takes them a while for him to fully trust them. He wants a slow relationship that’s sweet and loving instead of a high school one that is completely focused on sex, and lust. One could say that he is mature for his age of only nineteen years but he doesn’t think he is all that mature, and to tell the truth he still makes stupid teenager mistakes, like falling hopelessly for a boy that will never love him back, and having to get over him. Or doing stupid stuff because of the risk factor involved. Or giving into whatever his love desires to make them happy. He tends to be good at forgetting about himself when it comes to these things, and once you get to know him and he likes you he turns into a bit of a people pleaser. He likes to make others happy, and when he falls for someone it sometimes comes before making himself happy.
Eli is not the most active person on earth, but he does like to surf, and has tried his hand out at skateboarding, and enjoys doing that to clear his mind, along with his smoking habit that he isn't ashamed of. He enjoys sunny weather the most when he can sit outside even if he isn’t doing anything; he generally likes the outside better. He really is a peaceful person, so he won’t get mad easily, and it takes a lot to hurt him, but once you do an apology isn’t going to be sufficient to make up for it. It takes a lot to make up for hurting him and he holds a grudge.
History Ugh so sad Growing up, he had everything a child could ever want. His mom was a fashion buyer for a huge brand, and made lots of money and his dad was the principal of the middle school he went to. They both somehow found the time to be around for their three children of which Eli was the youngest. From the outside it seemed like the family was as perfect as could be, but to tell the truth that was as far away from the truth as it could get. People on the outside looking in should know that his dad is a known homophobe.
His dad is honestly disgusted by gay people, and is one of those people who stands around yelling that people shouldn’t be gay, because the bible says that it’s wrong. So why the lord gave him a son like Eli no one knows. When he was younger he spent most of his time with his mom, he really was fascinated with the fashion world when he was younger, but that seems to be something he grew out of, because these days as close as he gets to fashion is watching project runway. His father tried to keep that from happening, and signed him up for sport after sport where each time he remained the bench warmer. Growing up, his sisters were the ones that defended him.
In the sixth grade was the first time he ever felt something for a boy, and he thought it was wrong. He kept it to himself, and eventually he got over it, although it was hard for him to go back to being friends with the boy. Once he did things seemed back to normal, and the only one he told was his older sister Elise, who seemed to be the most accepting of his situation. He was scared, for years he’d heard his father yelling that liking boys was bad, and that real men played sports and got jobs to take care of them women.
His father was very old fashioned, and also had the views that women should stay in the kitchen and cook and clean, so Eli continued to hide it, and there had been a few girls in his life, the ones that he liked, or pretended to like for his dad didn’t last long, but he can’t deny that he did have feeling for some of them. A few however he just wanted to impress his dad. His first kiss with a boy, was in a ceramics classroom his freshmen year of high school. Later that year, the two were caught making out in a supply closet at a church by a youth pastor, and reported to his parents.
Eli had never been so scared in his life, because of his father’s reaction. It was then decided, and Eli was sent to a gay to straight camp run by the church in Wisconsin, which he ran away from after only a week and called Elise to come pick him up. For a while he lived with her and pretended he was still going, but once school started he was no longer allowed to go along with this lie anymore, and he went to his mom. Who by the time he was sixteen divorced his father, something she had been debating doing for a long time, and moved to New York with her son.
It was easy for her to continue her work from there, and neither of them ever talked to his father again. Eli hates to talk about him, and is uncomfortable talking about his family in general with anyone. Even though he loves his mom to death. He started at Somerset during the winter semester of his sophomore year, and has loved this school. During his time here he’s met lots of people, and to tell the truth he is scared to go into the real world, and meet more people like his father. Although he has been bullied some here, he tends to ignore it and move on with his life for the most part. Pretending that the person is talking to someone else, is his strategy.

Other :
- He’s left handed.
- Eli is a vegetarian, but he doesn’t care if people eat meat in front of him, he just wouldn’t do it himself.
- In terms of sexuality Eli is most definitely gay. Although he has been known to be with girls in the past to show his dad that there wasn’t a demon inside his child, he has pretty much gotten over that liking girls thing fast. It was partially because forcing himself to be with girls turned him off. Not that he doesn’t appreciate a pretty face; he just wouldn’t be with them.
