Luke felt bad about the way he reacted, which is why he put on that act for Lacey. He knew it would make her smile at least a little bit, and lighten the mood. Even though Luke didn't know this guy, or really anything about him except the fact that he was trying to get Lacey back (which he'd never let happen), he already hated him. Which wasn't exactly easy for Luke to do. He didn't hate too many people in this world, but when people came between himself and those he loved.. Well let's just say it doesn't usually go well.
Luke listened to Lacey's explanation, nodding his head while doing so. He didn't think that Lacey would lie to him, especially about something so serious, so he just let it go. "When the time comes, I'll deal with this kid. I believe you and I love you and... I don't want to argue anymore." Luke licked his lips and smiled. "But if it comes down to it.. I'll kick his ass. I know I said it a million times but it'll happen if he keeps this up." Smiling again, Luke moved to pull Lacey into his lap after kicking his shoes off.
