(( www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=69638178 )) Luke wasn't on campus when he'd texted Lacey. He'd actually been with Esme downtown, picking up a few things that he wanted to get before going to Lacey's. Hopefully she wouldn't get suspicious, because he texted her when they were still downtown. It had already been twenty minutes, and Luke was just now getting on campus. It wouldn't be such a big deal if his dorm wasn't across the hall from Lacey's, and it would normally take, like, two seconds since he didn't even have to get dressed to go over there. He got out of Esme's car, thanked his cousin, and jogged toward Grayson Hall, being careful with the things he was holding in his arms. Upon arriving, Luke let himself in, as always. "Hey babe," he smiled, gently placing the bags on the bed before kissing Lacey. Inside the bags, Lacey would find a McDonald's bag, containing both of their favorites, three cartons of Ben and Jerry's, and a few movies from Redbox that he thought Lacey would like. They weren't really his style - they were kinda chick flicks - but he figured Lacey would like it if he watched them with her tonight. Plus, Luke has noticed that the RA's never really checked up on the students, so maybe Lacey would let him stay the night tonight. Luke didn't bother showing her everything in the bags, knowing that she would go through the bags herself out of curiosity. "I brought you a few things." He smiled and kicked off his shoes.

Lacey was normally really relaxed, chill... she wasn't the type to worry about silly things that she saw other girls with boyfriends did, such as them maybe, I don't know, taking too long to show up? Now, before she had run into Luke and Tamera, she was perfectly fine with how things were going in their relationship. She still was! Just, Lacey was feeling these things that she'd never experienced before. Was she losing her confidence in herself? Or was she just never as confident as she thought she was to begin with? How could she feel so jealous of Luke being with another girl? The whole thing infuriated her, especially now, since he had taken about twenty minutes to show up at her dorm even if they lived across from each other. What, was he with another girl right now? Is that why he was taking so long?
Lacey was leaning back on her lounge chair, waiting, flipping through channels on her tv when the door opened and she saw Luke, sitting up and smiling when he came inside with a bunch of shopping bags. All panic pushed aside, she sighed with relief, getting up to kiss him, and looking over at everything he'd brought, taking everything out of the bags "Aww, babe," Lacey grinned, silently hating herself for doubting him in the first place, and turning towards Luke, wrapping his arms around him, "thank you so much," she glanced down, exhaling, "I'm sorry for freaking out on you the other day."

Luke pulled her close to him and pecked the top of her head. "It's okay. I should have told you. It's in the past, anyways. But I just had to make it up to you, so.." He gestured to the things on the bed. "I figured this would do, or at least help my situation a little." Luke smiled before releasing Lacey and taking a seat on the bed. He rummaged through the McDonald's bag and took out Lacey's food, then his own, taking a bite from his McChicken.
"I hope the movies I got are okay. I've never seen them but I thought you'd like them." It was probably hard to understand what he'd said, since his mouth was stuffed with fries. So he repeated it once he'd chewed. "I thought we could have a night in?"

Taking a bite out of her sandwich and popping a couple of fries in her mouth, Lacey picked up one of the movies, quickly gulping her food down and grinning, "Aww, babe, I love them!" she turned the case to look at both sides of the cover, "I've been waiting forever for Pitch Perfect to come out," she placed it down gently and pecked Luke on the cheek, laughing slightly at his mouth full of food, scooting closer to him and raising an eyebrow when he suggested having a night in.
A night in? Meaning, he would be spending the night with her? What about the dorm advisers? ...haa, Lacey didn't give a shit about the dorm advisers. "That sounds amazing," she bit down on her lip, cocking her head to the side as she reached over for one of the cartons of ice cream, "and you came prepared," Lacey smiled, reaching over to grab a couple of plastic spoons before opening the carton and taking a scoop.

It was only a few months into the school year and Luke had already realized that high school was no joke. Not that he ever really took school too seriously, but Luke didn't want to fail all his classes. He'd be happy with C's and B's, really. That meant he had to do some homework and some studying in order to kinda pass the tests in his classes, which in turn led to less time spent with Lacey. He felt bad for neglecting his girlfriend, even though she was busy as well, but they lived across the hall from each other - They should be able to make time for each other.
Luke was fearing that they were growing apart or losing interest, so he picked up a dozen pink roses and rushed to Lacey's dorm. When he got there, much to his surprise, there was some note on her door. He didn't leave it there, and it sure as hell wasn't Lacey's handwriting, either. This looked like a guy's handwriting. What the fuck?
He burst into the door without so much as a knock. "What the fuck is this Lacey?" The flowers were clutched in his left hand, and an outstretched right arm held the note in the air. Luke didn't want to yell at Lacey, but there was no logical explanation for some douche bag leaving love notes on his girlfriend's door."Who wrote this?" Luke asked again, calmer this time.

"You looked pretty in English today (:"
"Can you fucking not"
"What?"
"I've told you to leave me alone how many times? Shut up now or I'm just gonna fucking block you. And cut it with the notes, it's creepy af, you are so stupid I can't even comprehend why you think you can still try"
Lacey was about to add more to the message she was sending Geronimo on Facebook, sitting down on her bed with her laptop in front of her, when Luke came through her door. Her head shot up, surprised, and she raised her eyebrows, about to smile until he raised his voice at her, in which she only looked at him, taken aback, then shifted her eyes to the note in his hand. Lacey lowered her eyes, another one?
"Oh my fucking god," she muttered under her breath, getting up, off her bed, closing her laptop and going up to Luke, snatching the note out of his hand to read it,
"You and your boyfriend do not equal love, Lacey but you and me do"
It was the lamest haiku ever and it reading it made her feel like she was losing brain cells, "It's that Geronimo kid," she shook her head, ripping the note in two and tossing the pieces aside, looking up to Luke, "baby, nothing is happening, the guy is harassing the fuck out of me," she assured, reaching over for his hand, worried that he might be mad at her or think she was lying, then looked down at the flowers, sighing, a small smile forming on her face, "he's a little prick and he's just trying to mess with us."

"Geronimo?" Luke almost spat his name. "Who is he? And who does he think he is? Doesn't he know you have a boyfriend? Shit, everyone knows! It's not exactly hard to figure out, Lace! Did you tell him? Or are you just letting this creep hit on you? Are you talking to him too? I'm not an idiot, Lacey!"
Luke dropped the flowers on Lacey's desk. "I brought these for you. I thought that, you know, you might have missed me lately but apparently you've got some prick paying attention to you when I'm not around. Guess I'm not important after all, am I??" There's that temper, that never fails to get him in trouble. Even though Lacey was well aware of his anger issues, Luke was never sure if she'd handle them well or if they'd scare her off, which is why he tried his best to keep them under control when he was around her. But this Geronimo kid pushed Luke over the line. After everything he and Lacey had been through, he felt betrayed. Even if there was nothing going on between Lacey and this guy, it sounded as though he'd been bothering her for a while, and the fact that Lacey had never brought it up really bothered Luke.

Lacey took a step back and crossed her arms, was he really doing this right now? She shook her head, "Babe, I told you, it's nothing!" she insisted, "You are the most important person to me, how can you even forget that?" she scoffed, running a hand through her hair, scrunching her eyebrows. Lacey knew how angry he could get, but she wasn't the type of girl to stand down and let someone yell at her, even if it was Luke.
"I've told him so many times to leave me alone, you've got to believe me," Lacey bit her lip, "he's..." she pursed her lips, unsure of whether or not she should admit this to him, "he's the guy I lost my virginity to..." she let out a breath, "but he means nothing to me," she shook her head, "he told the whole school about it, bragging, I could never love somebody like that the way I love you."
It had been a long time since she and Luke had spent any real time together, and sure, maybe Lacey could've gone through greater lengths to stop all of Geronimo's flirting -- but that didn't mean Luke meant any less to her! The attention from Geronimo was annoying but it also made her still feel wanted, not that Lacey had any problems feeling that way, it just felt nice to have someone who reminded her.

Luke was calming down, until Lacey said how she knew this kid. "Oh he took your virginity? He was your first... He doesn't just mean nothing to you Lacey. He was your first. I mean... whatever." luke took a deep breath. Neither of the two had good tempers, and they both were those type of people that had to win every single argument they were in. Removing the black and red OBEY snapback from his head, LUke ran his hands over his hair.
"Okay, look, babe. I don't care who this guy is. Okay, that's a lie. I do care, because if he doesn't leave you the fuck alone I'm going to kick his sorry little ass. But I really didn't come here to fight with you. I miss you, Lace." Normally, Luke didn't back down from fights. With Lacey, though, things had to be different because he didn't want to lose her or have her angry with him. She was special and he didn't want to do anything to jeopardize their relationship. "Let's try this again."
Luke smiled and picked up the flowers, then the ripped piece of paper before stepping outside for a moment. He opened the door. "Lacey, my love," Luke cooed in an obviously over-dramatic way. "I brought you these flowers, but they're nowhere near as beautiful as you are, my dear." Luke batted his eyes, fighting back a smile. "Oh, I found this note on your door. Would you ever so kindly explain to me why some dick is writing you love notes?" Luke let out a laugh, ending the little show he'd put on to lighten the mood a bit, then sat down on the bed.

Lacey was about to open her mouth to protest, but stopped herself to listen to Luke, and started to smile again when he made a re-entry into her dorm, sighing. She didn't like to get mad at him, and she especially hated for him to get mad at her. One of the reasons she got so furious at Geronimo was because she knew Luke would flip when he found out -- as evidenced by what just occurred.
She took the flowers from him, setting them down next to her as she sat next to Luke on her bed, scratching the back of her head as she tried to look for the right words to explain. Why was Geronimo doing this? Did the guy just hate to see her happy? They hadn't spoken for so long, he'd pop up every once in a while to talk to her, which aggravated Lacey because the guy never stuck around -- letting him come back at all was stupid of her to do, considering he'd spread the rumor about her losing her virginity, and now he was trying to home wreck her relationship? Not cool.
Lacey never felt secure with Geronimo, never. With Luke, she felt safe. And not in the security blanket kind of way, she actually loved him. He made her feel wanted, needed, like she actually meant something to another human being. She gave out a sigh, "I guess he's just realizing what he used to have..." she bit her lip, looking up to Luke, "but I would never go back to him because he should have known what he had before I was gone, okay?" she reached for his hand, "Luke, I love you, not this creep who thinks he can get me back by talking shit about you and our relationship," she rolled her eyes at the thought, "he doesn't mean anything to me. He doesn't mean anything at all."
