About My Character:
Full Name:
Miranda Darling, although over her years in school Miranda has gained the nickname 'Tink', due to her love of all things Peter Pan, and her almost obsessive love of the blonde haired fairy she claims to resemble.
Age:
17 her birthday is on the 25th of February.
Gender:
Female.
Grade:
Junior
Sports/Clubs:
Drama Club, Glee Club.
Appearance:
Tink stands at just over 5"3 and her weight is, well, she probably wouldn't want me to disclose that information. Let's just say she's a healthy weight, and she's happy with her body. The thing Tink loves most about her appearance is her blonde hair. Although Tink's natural hair colour is blonde it's a much darker blonde than the one she sports today. Having always been a big fan of makeup her hazel eyes are always enhanced with the help of liquid eyeliner and natural shades of shimmers eye shadow.
Tink doesn't have a particular clothing style, but she wears mostly dresses and skirts. She adores anything with glitter or sequins.
Personality:
Tink is a very excitable young woman, she get's giddy from the little things in life. Most of the time it's a good thing, but if you don't know her well it can be a little unnerving.
Like the fairy from whom she got her nickname, Tink can get very jealous. It she likes a boy she'll want him all to herself. Any girl that get's in her way will be glared at very harshly. Of course Tink would never get in to a fight over a boy, she just doesn't have the courage.
Having grown up with four little brothers and sisters, Tink absolutely loves kids. Although she doesn't plan on having any in High School she looks forward to the future when she can be a mum. To some of her closest friends she does act a little like a mother figure. Taking care of them when they're sick. Comforting them when they're down. Tink is a very loving girl.
There are rumors floating around the school that Tink is rather promiscuous, and although they are indeed true she hasn't been deemed a 'whore' by her fellow students, because she seems too innocent. Of course there must be students out there who think such things of her, but she's yet to hear it expressed verbally. Tink doesn't really see it as anything bad. Yes she likes sex. No she's not trying to get pregnant, or trying to piss anyone off. It's just something she likes to do, like a ... hobby maybe? If the right guy was to come along Tink would definitely put to side her promiscuous ways and be completely faithful.
Background:
Little Miranda Darling grew up in Massachusetts with her mum step-dad and four younger half siblings. Ever since she was little her mum had been telling her how much of a bad guy her real dad was. How he'd been a gambler, and a drinker. How one night while she was pregnant he had stolen all her money and vanished in to the night. As she was only young at the time Miranda had believed every word her mother told her, and she never wanted to meet the man her mother spoke about.
One day, when she was ten years old there was a knock at the door. Miranda went to answer it to see a man, in his mid-thirties, stood there with a bunch of flowers. The man went on to ask if Miranda's mother was home. When her mother came to the door her face fell, then she became angry. Shouting at the man she told him to go away, to get off their porch and never come back. Miranda cowered away, having never seen her mother so angry before.
Over the next couple of months the man just kept coming back. Some days they wouldn't even leave the house because he'd be sat outside, staring longingly at the front door. Miranda's mother refused to tell her children who the man was.
After a week or so of the man coming back repeatedly Miranda wouldn't bear her curiosity anymore and went outside.
'What are you doing here?', she asked him, her hands on her hips trying to look tough, like her mother had when she'd been shouting at him.
The man looked a little taken a back, but he went on to explain that he had come to see her. The flowers were for her, and he handed them over. It turned out that this man was Miranda's real father. They sat in silence for a long time, until Miranda's mother came out and started shouting all over again.
It was a confusing time in Miranda's life, but after a lot of persuasion and a DNA test, Miranda was able to spend the weekends with her dad. Everything about the gambling, the stealing, the drinking, had been a lie concocted by Miranda's mother. Miranda still doesn't know why she did it, and her mother refuses to say.
Other:
- Tink does smoke and drink, but she's not someone who goes out partying every night and getting so drunk she forgets her name.
