Name: Fletcher Daniel McDonald. He prefers to go by Mr. McDonald to his students but faculty members are welcome to call him Fletch or just Fletcher.
Age/Birthday: Twenty six years old. July 6th
Subject: Algebra 1-2 (and Trigonometry) Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB, Arithmetic
Appearance: Yes. He's tall?
Personality: Mr. McDonald is generally a polite person. He is aware that mathematics isn't a very exciting subject and no he doesn't believe that any of this junk is useful but he was good at it and that's why he has a job. Fletcher teaches, simple as that.
What he is aware of is that some people don't understand math as easily as other folks. It just doesn't work that way. Fletcher will re-explain something if a student does not understand it. However, if a student is simply being a troll and isn't honest and only trying to waste time for other students, that student will get Mr. McDonald's limited edition sarcasm.
It's not easy to fool Fletcher but he's not a grouchy person. He's actually kind to all humanity. Which is surprising because Fletcher is the last person you'd think would believe that humanity is good through all he's been through.
Background: Walter McDonald was a rolling stone. Elizabeth Wyman knew this perfectly well. She didn't want her child, Fletcher, to know this but somehow, he found out about his father's infidelities. The instability of the family's home was evident and if Elizabeth thought that Fletcher was oblivious to it then she had another thing coming. However, the young boy knew that his mother didn't need a man in her life. Especially not a bad man who hurt her feelings. Fletcher supported Elizabeth's decision to divorce from Walter without question.
After his parents divorce, Fletcher spent weeks at his mother's and weekends at his father's. He took a day to ask Walter why he had caused so much hurt to his mother but Walter simply answered I don't do routines and it made Fletcher angry but despite everything, this man was still his father who although being a cheater never was a bad father.
Fletcher focused mostly on school because home problems weren't exactly his cup of tea. Elizabeth had found a boyfriend who seemed to be a nice guy. Fletcher never really got the time to meet the fellow because he was usually volunteering or in football practice. It was a surprise to him when Elizabeth told him that she was planning to marry her boyfriend who Fletcher later found out was named Richard.
This Richard fellow had big money. Which made life easier for sixteen year old Fletcher and his mother. Life was so simple that when Fletcher graduated, step-father "Rich" paid for his university tuition in Stanford.
Fletcher usually dominated everywhere he set his foot on. The All-American guy; easy on the eyes, intelligent, athletic and terrible at art. He clearly wasn't a renaissance man. His major was mathematics because typically folks found great jobs for being exceptional at math. Life was good for Fletcher in Stanford.
Life got even better when he met Loren, a tall, brunette majoring in public relations. Fletcher and Loren fell in love at nineteen and got married surprisingly soon — still being nineteen. They had a boy named Jesse two years after. A year after they moved to New York where he was offered a job as a math professor in the almighty school Somerset.
Just when Fletcher thought he was living the life he had dreamed of — something terrible happened. It was just another manic Monday at school but Fletcher was coming down with the flu. The flu was bad enough but when he came home early, he knew that the day couldn't get any worse...
He found Loren in bed with an unknown guy. In their bed! With Jesse in pre-school. It bought Fletcher to days he wanted to forget. How dare Loren do this to him!? Fletcher had been the best husband to her and she just went on and did him wrong?
Of course Fletcher waited for no explanations to file for divorce. Loren did not bother to have a custody battle for Jesse because she was aware that she'd lose. Which was why Fletcher became Jesse's legal guardian with weekends visits to his mothers house. It was all starting to happen again only now it was Jesse.
