About My Character
Full Name: Joseph Terrence Corrigan.
Mr. Corrigan or Mr. C will suffice.
Age: Sixty-two years old. Joseph was born in February 19, 1950.
Gender: Male
Subject: Regular and advanced placement Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
He also sponsors the environmental and forensics club.
Appearance:
Fairly tall, light skinned, wrinkly. Joseph had his thing when he was younger but those days are long gone. He's very proud of his grey hair and good eyesight. Despite that he tends to go hipster and wear big eyeglasses for fun. It adds to the scientist look, he says. Mr. Corrigan doesn't dress like your typical scientist. He wears button-up shirts, ties, dress pants and shoes. For labs, he does sport on a white lab coat but the other students are also required to wear one also. Hooray for matching outfits!
Personality: Joseph doesn't believe in F's. No one in his class ever receives an F. He doesn't think that anyone should be called a failure, that's just too harsh. Instead of bluntly calling a student's work a fail, he gives them zeros. Which many students believe is much harsher than a letter grade simply because it sounds like Mr. C is giving them the silent treatment for their bad work. Joseph has explained to his student that he means not to insult them but they ought to get it together to pass his class.
No doubt that Mr. Corrigan is an extremely kind man. He has a sense of humor and tends to make his students laugh more than natural. He's your typical loopy science teacher who has an immense love for anything that has to do with science. He loves life so much he teaches about it. Joseph is fond of existence and anything that has to do with it. His favorite subject to teach is physics because he is fascinated by the laws of motion and Newton and even the fig bars, too!
Good ol' Mr. C has the humor of a teenager and some of his students come to wonder if he spends time on tumblr. His jokes and what he says makes them believe it's true. What these kids don't realize is that those jokes are old news and are quite effortless to make, really. Joseph isn't the most religious although he was raised in a not quite religious Catholic family but he does fully recommend the God Squad club to some of his students.
Background: Joseph Terrence Corrigan was born in London, England on February 19, 1950. He was actually due on Valentine's Day but he delayed a little. His mother, Edith was disappointed about the change in date but she was happy that her baby boy had been born healthy. She named him Joseph after her grandfather. Joseph's father, Walter was not present for his birth because he was part of the British Air Force who at the moment was helping on the reconstruction of Germany after the war that had broken out five years before.
