Name:
Miles Caleb Bernstein.
Age:
Eighteen, born on the 15th of December.
Grade:
Junior.
Sports/Clubs:
Drama, Photography, Student Council, LGBT Alliance.
Appearance:
Miles is tall, and on the thin side, with very little muscle. In his younger years he was quite chubby, and always teased about it by his classmates, so in his sophomore year he decided to lose the weight and went on a drastic diet. To this day he does his best to avoid carbs, but he’s not that committed to the diet anymore.
Miles has very pale skin, blue eyes and blonde hair, he looks very typically European and he loves it. Sometimes he plays with his hair colour, usually lightening it for the summer, and then letting it return to its usual dirty blonde for the colder months. Miles loves dressing up, and it’s rare you’ll ever see him in sweatpants or even jeans, suits are his favourite things in the world and he couldn't care less if it’s too fancy for school.
Personality:
In general Miles is a very easy person to get along with. First of all he’s friendly, and very welcoming, so he’s easy to befriend. If you make time for him, he’ll make time for you, and that’s all he really asks. Once you've become friends you’ll discover how loyal he is, and how caring. If it’s one thing Miles can’t stand it’s his friends being unhappy, short of cutting off his own foot he’ll do anything to see his friends smile. Miles has a great sense of humour and is always giggling about something or other, he loves funny people and does his best to surround himself with them, so then he doesn't have to try so hard to be funny himself.
Miles can be a little arrogant at times; he finds it hard to believe that someone might not like him. After all, he’s nice to everyone, so everyone should like him, right? Wrong. Miles has some pretty big opinions and he’s not scared to shove them in people’s faces now and again. Miles is a big supporter of gay marriage, obviously, and if anyone says anything against gay rights he gets pretty worked up about it. This has lead a lot of closed minded people into disliking him, not that he cared too much, he still knows he’s right about it all.
Miles can be a little needy sometimes too, it really stems from his childhood, but it’s something he’s never been able to shake. Once he’s found a friend he can be clingy, but it’s not always a bad thing.
Background:
Miles Caleb Bernstein was born on the 15th of December in Moscow, Russia, where his parents were staying, on business. Francis and Jemima Bernstein were originally from Brussels, Belgium, and returned there mere days after Miles was born. Miles was, and still is, an only child. Growing up was quiet, lonely and lacking excitement of any kind. Both of Miles’s parents worked full time doing things that he never quite understood which involved making a lot of phone calls and going on business trips frequently. Of course they later claimed this was all for him, they worked so hard to provide for their special little boy, and provide they did. Miles was a very privileged child, and still is privileged to this day. As he’s gotten older he’s learnt to love his parent’s wealth, but as a child he always longed for more.
When Miles ‘came out’, he was thirteen, and he did it over Skype while his parents were away on business in Japan. Neither of them were surprised. Miles had been asking for designer shoes since he could say the words ‘Louis Vuitton’. They were wonderfully accepting and Miles loved them for that.
At the age of fourteen Miles was shipped off to boarding School in America, which had always been his dream. Honestly Miles probably spoke better English than he spoke French.
Other:
- Miles has no tattoos or piercings, and he's very proud of that fact.
- Refuses to drink any alcohol other than wine or champagne, he tells people it's because he's too classy for anything else, but truthfully he just dislikes the taste of other things.
- Miles smokes, but only socially, he'll never be caught smoking alone.
- Has two cats, a black one called Mabel and a white one called Maddie. Mabel is actually a male cat, but he named her before he found that out.
