"No, did I ever say that..." Riley rhapsodized innocently while her eyes shifted away from Eli. She then smiled brightly, "I was only kidding but lemons are considered a gift from life." she said, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" she then looked down to her piece drying.
She wrinkled her nose then rose both eyebrows, "But what if you asked for grapefruit. Do you throw them back, or still benefit from the lemonade?" Riley asked him but knew she was drifting way off topic. "Ah yes, the babes." she called men 'babes'. It was a way to show that women could do so too. She wasn't a radical feminist, those were gross but she did believe that women had the same rights as men but not that they were better nor worse. Just equals. Her family and friends said that she'd make a fine politician but she didn't want to enter that life of controversy and hoo-hah.
"Leonardo called me yesterday and said it was really warm and nice. They got to interact with koalas and go scuba-diving." she smiled softly. "I'm glad he's having his fun. I figure he's not coming back to school next year. He hates it." Riley nodded with a raised eyebrow. She poked her mug, "Well, mine's ready to get painted, is yours?" she asked him.
