Elizabeth Romano (1966- 2010): She was the oldest of three sisters. She was born and raised in Michigan before attending a university in New York City. There she met and married Robert Romano. Elizabeth Romano was a sweet woman and known throughout the community as selfless person and philanthropist. She spent all of her free time with Kazzie and taught her everything she knew from helping people to singing and playing the piano. Elizabeth was always seen smiling and taking Kazzie with her wherever she went. Elizabeth knew how important the law firm was to her husband, so she never bothered him about his workload and hours. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2010 when Kazzie was 15, and passed away on July 4:39 pm, July 16, 2010. Kazzie was her only child through 22 years of marriage
Robert Romano (1965-present): He was the only child in a wealthy family located in New York City. He attended a University for law and met Elizabeth where they married in 1988. Robert Romano was a big time lawyer, and his father also owned the largest law firm in New York City; he would pass it on to his son after retiring. Needless to say, he had huge shoes to fill. Because of this he was always away from home and at work trying to live up to the family name. He missed the passing of his wife, and blamed himself for her death. He increased his workload to try to deal with the grief, and didn't know what to do with Kazzie. When Kazzie was arrested for drugs, he did everything in his power to get the charges dropped. He sent Kazzie to Somerset because he thought that's what would be best for her. He thinks he's a failure as a husband and a father.
