Full Name: Elijah Samuel Green. You can just call him Eli, though.
Age: 17. Him and his identical twin brother Nate are juniors. Born on October 31st. Hooray for even more cliche Halloween birthdays!
Sports/Clubs: Lacrosse. That's it though. He's kinda lazy so that's all he can handle. And even its a bit much.
Appearance: Eli stands at an average five foot nine, weighing just around a hundred and sixty five pounds or so. Most of his mass is muscle, thanks to the past three years of lacrosse, but he does have some flab that makes up the rest of him. His hair is a natural black; sort of an ashy black. Unlike his brother Nate, Eli keeps his hair rather short. The longest its ever been is, say, three or so inches. Only right down the middle of his head to uphold a fauxhawk. Other than that length, its practically a buzz cut. His eyes, like every other Green family member, are a beautiful amber. They're really bright, and he loves them. Its kind of hard to say you don't love them.. and if you say that, you're lying. They're beautiful. I know you think so.
Eli really loves his mouth. He thinks he's got a pretty fantastic smile. Thin lips and straight teeth make him believe so. Nate has almost the exact same one.. but (no matter how identical), Eli thinks he looks better. Its a pride thing.
Quite unlike his brother, Eli has a bit of a jock look to him. Sure he likes band tees and owns maybe two pairs of skinny jeans.. but more often than not, he can be found in a pair of baggy sweats and a form fitted v-neck. He likes to show off his body, because he knows its pretty fine. Baseball shirts are common along with high top sneakers and snapbacks. If it weren't for their completely different taste in clothing, it would be really hard to tell Eli and Nate apart. Thank god for trends.
Personality:
Smooth: Eli has a way with words. He's fresh, he's fly, and he's better at speaking than you are. Give him a chance, and he'll make your heart drop straight out of your chest. Give him the glare, and he'll stab you with nouns and adjectives you've never heard before. The boy is a walking dictionary. But its a gift, and he likes to hide it. Shouldn't go flaunting something so great, you know. Save it for the times when he's really gonna need to impress someone.
Chill: Eli just has that overall persona of someone who doesn't give a fuck. He kind of always seems either half asleep or seriously stoned because he really just sits there and does nothing until confronted. Eli doesn't like to start drama or cause fights.. so he waits for people to come to him. If they start the drama, that's fine. He just won't.
Afraid: Eli lives in constant fear. Like, legitimate fear. He counts his steps, he watches his back, he fears the unknown. Its a form of OCD, actually, always fearing that something might go wrong. Staring at a picture too long makes him think it'll turn into one of those creepy videos where you look at something really pretty, then something fucking terrifying pops up. Walking down the street, he fears falling and breaking his ankles. He absolutely hates bowling out of the fear that his fingers might get ripped off in the ball. He's paranoid, I guess you could say. But because of this, he's also really careful.
Damaged: His past ruined him. Any delicate dream, any innocent wonder, anything childish he might've ever hoped for was snatched from him. Those few people that know about it assume that's why he's such a jumpy person. They assume that's why he watches his back, that's why he's so careful not to step on any cracks. And they're right, really. For the most part anyway.
Friendly: Eli sees no reason to just be mean to people. If you're nice to him, he'll be nice to you. He craves friendship from others, but doesn't know how to get it. He won't go to you first.. he hopes you'll come to him. And if you don't, he figures you just aren't someone he was meant to be friends with.
Artistic: Not only is he a great singer, but he's also a fantastic painter. Drawer too, really. Anything two dimensional. Be it pencil, pen, marker, crayon, pastel, oil, you name it. His artwork is very expressive, and could be considered somewhere between abstract and realism. If you asked him to, he could do a very accurate drawing of your face. But he'd rather do something with many colors, many different brush strokes, many different perspectives. He doesn't like to look at something and just see exactly what it is. He wants his art to tell stories, to express more than just "a picture".
Background: It was a big house. A really, really big house. Margaret and William Green had bought it years before Elijah and Nathaniel were born; it was their prized possession. And when they left for month long vacations, leaving Elijah and Nathaniel alone with no one but the maid and the butler, it became a playhouse. Well, for Nathaniel.
"Mom.. dad.. please. Don't leave. You don't have to go, do you?" Eli was only ten.
"Elijah. You know we've been planning this trip for weeks!"
"But.. do you have to?" Alexander would enter the room. Eli stopped talking. He felt himself shrinking as the man came closer, placing a hand on Eli's shoulder. That touch made his insides twist. He knew what was coming.
"We'll be home before you know it." And then they'd leave, not back for another month. And Eli would be left alone, that hand on his shoulder, that wrenching pain in the center of his stomach and the very core of his chest. Alexander would wave goodbye, Eli would only start to cry. Nate had no knowledge of the things that happened, of the way Alexander treated Eli. The way he touched him, the places he touched him. Eli never said a single word. Not one. Not even the day he was raped.
He was thirteen. Practically a baby. Certainly people found out, because Nate heard the screaming. But it was such a big house. Such a big house. The screams were audible, yes. In every room of the house. Even outside. But when Nate heard them, there was no telling which room they came from. So when Alexander heard the steps, heard the running, he ran for it. Pants pulled up, zipper zipped, gloves replaced and he was out the door, down the hall and well out of reach. Nate would never know.
Eli would never tell.
He didn't tell when he was brought to the hospital, he didn't tell when his parents found out, he didn't tell. Ever.
He was too afraid.
Other: Eli is very sensitive about his past. Only a handful of people know.
His favorite color is blue. Like, a light blue. Like the sky.
Eli dreams of becoming a singer. He doesn't want to be in a big band, he doesn't have the same dream as his brother Nate. He just wants to sing for people, let them feel what he feels.
Yes, he is a good singer.
Eli can play guitar, but he doesn't often so he's not very good. He also took piano lessons for a while when he was younger but again, he doesn't play often. At all, really. Seeing as he lives in a dorm and there's.. no.. piano...
Eli absolutely loves macaroni and cheese. Cheesy things in general make him happy.
Don't mistake his quietness for being some sad emo kid. Cuz that's not at all who he is. He's not a downer.
He, like Nate, is practically showered with gifts from his parents. He could ask for a lion and they'd buy him one.
Eli receives a weekly allowance of five hundred dollars. Sometimes its more, depending on his grades and behavior.
He loves a good action movie.
