Genevieve was not happy. These decorations absolutely sucked, and she found herself screaming at everyone who tried to "help" get it together. For some reason, Steele gave her a really limited budget. She wasn't able to get the lights she wanted, or hire the professional actors to scare the kids like she wanted, so she had to settle with weird drama kids who didn't have dates. At least the music was good, since she was able to get the perfect DJ. She was scared she was going to have to settle for that freshman, but she was able to squeeze a few extra bucks out of Steele to get the best in New York. It was 8:50 and the game was just about over. The students should be filtering in anyway minute, so she was making the last minute touches on the gym and entry way. She had it set up so that where they entered was sort of like mini haunted house, but nothing compared to what she had set up in the quad. That was going to be the highlight of homecoming. She wasn't able to get extra actors to serve food in the gym, but she was able to hire a team to make the perfect haunted house. If this dance didn't go as expected, she was going to go down as the worst president in Somerset history. Maybe the scary stuff would make up for the lame gym decorations. Plus, she had enough strobe lights, light filters and fog machines to mask for idiotic is looked. "LIGHTS!" She screamed from the middle of the gym, and the techie controlling them turned the main lights off, leaving only the strategically placed lights with filters on. "STROBES!" and they came on. "FOG!" And the fog machines came on. From where she was standing, you could barely see the lame streamers and cardboard tomb stones. The drama losers were dressed as zombies with scary looking but delicious hors d'oeuvres on trays, the teachers had fake blood coming from their heads, the DJ was playing amazing music, and she looked fabulous. Maybe this would work. ooc: Entrance www.forumfortnightly.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Dance2.jpgsphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/541205_370539856364374_833878601_n.jpgGym 4.bp.blogspot.com/-EK-sJfuLxMc/TroqcP1nuVI/AAAAAAAAGYw/SJkSM9zP8NQ/s1600/IMG_4567.JPGThe haunted house sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/76648_370540966364263_1697482420_n.jpgsphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/293412_348376161914077_116017310_n.jpgsphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/311160_365236883561338_606882293_n.jpgsphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/75695_364442380307455_745813673_n.jpgGin's dress (with black stilletos you can't see) media.tumblr.com/ade65ac7b06625d4a2abd9b53e9a4228/tumblr_inline_mhm9vkvyOp1qz4rgp.png

Nolan took the rose as it was handed to him and smiled. Damien was such a romantic. Just looking at him you'd never believe that, but he was a giant sweetheart. "Aw, babe," he kissed him on the cheek and then they walked to the dance. Upon entering, someone jumped out and scared him, making him scream like a little girl. He thought Damien would have laughed, but he was way too fixed on the strobe lights. Like they were the most fascinating things in the world.
"D," he nudged him in the arm to try to snap him out of it. "Damien come back to earth, helloooo?" He waved his hand in his face. When he finally made eye contact again, Nolan laughed. "What are you, high or something?" He straightened his tie and pulled it off his neck a little. It was choking him. Why had he even bothered with this thing? Oh yeah, he was nominated for queen. Damien thought he was quite the comedian, but Nolan wasn't impressed. Sure the tiara was funny, but he hadn't even come out completely yet. But now he was forced out of the closet. It wasn't like it was a bad thing, but still. He wanted to come out on his own terms. But at least he had Damien for support.

Lina walked towards the dance slowly, admiring the decorations along the way. She sidled up to Tyler and gently took his hand. "Boo!" she practically shouted, hoping she'd surprised him. She made absolute sure that she had come up behind him silently, just so that she could do that. What was the point of a Halloween dance if you didn't scare your date anyway? When he knew it was her, she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, just in the heat of the moment. "Hello, Halloween is my favorite holiday and I'm really excited about this dance, Tyler," She giggled and let go of his hand, backing up so that she could spin in a circle in front of him.
"You like it? I remembered that green was your favorite color, hence the tie." She smiled broadly at him. Tonight was supposed to be perfect - well, relaxed and comfortable and fun, but perfect too. She had picked out the right dress and matched the green with the right sets of blue. The necklace and the bracelets and the earrings and make up had to look just so. She was super excited for him to see it, and that was why she was really hoping he liked it.

Rosalie arrived at the dance a little later than she had expected to. She wasn't used to wearing such high heels at all! Stumbling a little around the perfectly decorated dance floor, she looked around for Ginny. When Gin had asked her to come to homecoming as friends, she was excited to say yes. She had always thought her homecomings would be perfect, but she had missed her freshman homecoming and didn't want to miss this one. Who cared if she had a date or not? She had Ginny to hang out with, and that was perfectly fine for her.
Spotting her across the floor, yelling out directions, Rosalie's heart fluttered again. Putting her hand to her chest, she wondered what was up. Why was it that she was getting so nervous around Gin recently? She was afraid that she wouldn't like what she wore, so she changed twice and fixed her hair a bazillion times before she came... She wanted Gin to think she was pretty. Why did it matter so much? Forgetting her strange revelations, she quickly stumble-walked over to her friend, realizing how ridiculous she looked in these heels! "Gin, hey!" she tapped her on the shoulder.

Derek noticed that most of the couples were meeting up outside the gym like they were, but he didn't care that it wasn't a really 'original' idea. He liked that they were together when they walked in. The decorations were awesome - not in the way that they scared him, but they at least made him grin. He would have to congratulate that class president of their's - Rosalie knew her, he was aware, so he made a note to find the two tonight. He had forgotten that Shana didn't know his little sister - even though she was closer in age to Shana than he was. Maybe when he found Rosalie, she could introduce him to the class president, and he could introduce his little sis to homecoming date.
"Ready to go inside?" He asked her, offering his elbow to her, to escort her in. He winked at her, and raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to take his arm. He noticed another couple putting on a corsage, and he groaned, realizing he forgot flowers for her. "Sorry about not getting flowers," he sighed. "It totally slipped my mind. I was too focused on trying to look good and making sure we both got here on time and remembering to drive you home and - wow, sorry, babbling. But I'm sorry, all the same." He gave her a sympathetic smile and hoped she was okay. They were going as friends, after all.
"Ready to go in?" He asked, hearing the music blast from inside.

( www.polyvore.com/homecoming/set?id=70987057 ) Shoshana's father had dropped her off at the school. Sometimes she wished she lived on campus like most of the students but this wasn't college - it was high school. There was no point of paying for housing to get required education. Of course, when she did go to college, then maybe housing would be an option. However, she wasn't too sure about that. Shana brushed the thought off her mind as she walked toward Derek, who she had found waiting just in time for her. Sure, all of the other male dates bought corsages for their girls but Shana wasn't Derek's girl. Therefore, she shouldn't feel bad about it. And to be quite honest, she didn't need flowers to know that there was something special going on between the two of them. "Oh!" her hand slapped the air before she rolled her eyes, "It's alright, you look exceptional, Derek." she complimented as she walked around him. Her eyes taking a 360 of his appearance. " Utterly exceptional." she repeated. "Ready!" Shoshana assured him before linking arms with him. She gently brushed her tousled hair behind her shoulder and smiled up at him brightly.

Beaming when he said he liked it, she gave him another twirl for his viewing pleasure. It was definitely weird for her - it felt way different than what she was used to. She preferred jeans and a flannel shirt, not sparkly green things. She was a little bit estranged in it, but she liked his reaction and she liked putting the outfit together - just not wearing. Smoothing her hands along her bodice, she giggled. "I feel pretty, and skinny." She shook her head in awe. "I should wear this more often," she joked.
Accepting his flowers on her wrist, she admired the roses. They were prettier than the dress. How did he know her favorite flower. Grabbing his hand again, she gave him a confident nod. "Let's go and get our dance on, eh?"

Smirking when she admired his suit, he looked her up and down. She wasn't looking bad at all, herself. The color accented her curves perfectly, but her eyes were the main focus. She had done her make up well, and he couldn't stop looking at her. It seemed as though she was more than just a fashionable teenager at homecoming - she was a fashion goddess on Mount Olympus. "I thought you'd like the suit." He murmured as they walked in. "I'm really liking the dress..." he let his eyes trail over her again before grinning at her, making that eye contact.
This felt amazing. This felt awesome and magical and it was too hard to explain just how right it seemed. Her arm fit in his just right, their outfits were pretty snazzy, and he was slowly falling in love. Wait, what? Derek furrowed his eyebrows and tried to get the thought out of his head, but he couldn't help it - it was stuck there in his minds eye. Do I love Shana? Well, let's rephrase that - do I really really like Shana? Umm... we'll get back to that... Oh, god, she's gorgeous. I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have her as my date. Even though we're just going as... friends.

When she walked in, Lina was happily surprised. She thought the decorations outside were great - the inside was even better. "Woah, it's sooo cool!" She started to say, when Tyler took her hands. This was her first homecoming, ever, with a date. She hadn't expected to dance so soon - but hey, it was fun! His hands were a little cold from outside, but as they held hers, she felt their palms heating up together. She spun into him and he gave her a kiss that made her blush. When he spun her away, she let go of his hands and just spun a few more times, looking down at her skirt. It was so sparkly!
After she stopped spinning, she sort of stumbled into his arms and smiled. "This is already really fun." she commented. "My skirt looks so cool when we dance! Don't you love it? And... your tie looks fabulous, by the way." She winked and leaned up to kiss his cheek. What was with them? They kept kissing each other's cheeks... When would the kiss on the lips happen? She hoped it would be tonight!

Lina leaned into the kiss as soon as it started. It had surprised her, certainly, but she didn't mind it at all. She had been wondering when their first kiss-on-the-lips-more-than-three-seconds would be, and then he just swooped in and started mackin' on her. It was great how he seemed to just read her thoughts like that. Putting her hands on his shoulders when she felt his grip on her waist, she moved in so that they were close - very close. Pulling away for air, she raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Now that's how you make a move." she teased.
