Becca had invited Collin out to pizza because she hadn't seen him in a while. She figured they could go to Cici's, for the pizza buffet. She loved buffets - it was probably because she could look like a glutton without feeling guilty, because everyone else was pigging out, and she felt that she could, too. She got to the restaurant and pushed through the door, spotting Collin at a booth already. She headed towards him, and reached her arms out for a hug automatically. "Hey, Collin," she smiled, glad to be hanging out with her friend again.
After letting him go, she pulled her coat off and laid it across her seat. "Let's go grab some pizza," she said, all too cheery. She headed for the line, grabbed a plate, and loaded up with everything she could find - Hawaiian, chicken and ranch, triple cheese, and a slice of veggie and meat. Then she grabbed a Dr. Pepper and headed back for the table. When Collin sat down, she smiled. "How are you?" She asked, interested in his answer. she also kind of wanted him to ask her how she was, as well. She was not doing so greatly and she needed a best friend to talk to.

Collin smiled when he saw Becca walk in. He hadn't been waiting for a very long time, but it was nice he wouldn't have to. "Waddaaaaaap Becca?" he said through a toothy grin as he got up, only to be immediately by a hug. Hugs always made him feel uncomfortable.. most people would always say something like "wow you're really thin" or "whoa i can feel your shoulder bones". It made him feel awkward. But Becca was almost sort of an exception.
When she said "Let's go grab some pizza", Collin nodded and followed behind her. Taking a plate, he surveyed the options and took his time choosing. Before heading back to the table, he was sure to grab a piece of veggie pizza and two pieces of plain cheese. Three was enough to start. Upon sitting, Collin exhaled heavily and made an old man noise. "Oh that was a fucking weird ass noise.." he said a bit quietly, noticing that there were a couple children around.
"I'm good, I'm pretty good," Collin said after taking a rather small bite of his first piece of cheese pizza. "Just bought some new shirts. This is one," he grabbed the front of his shirt and tugged it forward so she could look at it. Not that she couldn't see it perfectly well against his chest.. but hey. "And how are you?"

Becca enjoyed hanging out with Collin. Sure, he hadn't had the greatest life, but he was still so fun-loving, kind, caring. He was everything she needed in a friend - he even liked music! They made the sickest tracks together, and posting them on YouTube got a lot of internet recognition. She liked hanging out with Collin the most - sure, she had Esme and Cam and Aaron, even, but none of them were her best friend like Collin was. Just getting pizza could be an adventure! "Hey, even if you make old man noises, at least you're fashionable," she joked, a compliment to his new shirt - it looked nice.
"Oh, good, you're doing well," she smiled, glad to hear he was doing better than she was. She hated to see him unhappy. "Me? I'm... uh..." she looked down at the plate and fiddled with her pizza, instead of eating it. "It's kind of a long story, but I'm not so great. Just an unhappy aniversary." she shrugged. Even though they'd been friends for a while, she'd never told him about Heather. (And I'm assuming that means that he hasn't told her his history? Idk.) And so it would be difficult to tell him today, but she figured... he should know. And she needed someone to talk to.
OOC/ Yeah it kind of failed sorry.

Collin tilted his head to the side and frowned like a puppy dog. "Aw I'm sorry bro, wanna talk about it?" he asked, taking another small bite of his pizza. This pizza was amazing.. how had he never been to this restaurant before? Well actually, he didn't really out that much. So that was how. But this place was great.. he'd definitely need to come back.
"You know I'm here to listen if you've got something on your back," he said a moment later, taking another bite of his pizza. He was almost finished! He smiled happily to himself, rather proud.
(ew sorry that's so short..)

Becca didn't know how to tell Collin anything - and yet she did at the same time. Sighing, she took a small bite of pizza and sipped her soda to buy time. "Um, it's a long story... I just, didn't know how to tell you before," she muttered, looking away from Collin's gaze. "You know, I'm here because of a punishment, right? Did I ever tell you... what I did to deserve that?" She watched for his answer, and looked down at the table. "It's because I was a rebel," she smiled a little at that, kind of as if it were a fond memory. It lifted the corner of her mouth in a small smirk, and she almost laughed - except she was sad.
"I was hooked on drugs, for a long time," she put her arm on the table, and her elbow hit as if she had thrown a sack of potatoes down. Rolling up her sleeve, she pointed to the few faint, red marks she had in the inner corner of her elbow, at the vein. "I used to shoot up all the time. My boyfriend got me into it when I was a freshman. I was insane - drinking, smoking, shooting up, anything I could do to get high." She knew he was listening, hopefully intently. She didn't look up as she rolled her sleeve back up and took another bite of pizza.
Sucking back a little more of her drink, she looked down into her lap. "I got pregnant, before I was a sophomore. But... no one could really tell. I was always so high and I didn't really eat much, I just used drugs as my subsistence... I had my baby in late December, on a concrete floor in someone's garage. I don't even know who's and I was pretty high when it happened." Silent tears feel down her cheeks. "She died, a year ago, today."
OOC// Pretending it's December 31st or whatever day Heather died. XD Sorry

Collin leaned forward on his elbows when Becca started her story. He always liked stories, good or bad, because he felt like people really trusted him. But when she mentioned not knowing how to tell him and figuring she kinda should, Collin couldn't help but think of his own story. He knew he'd probably have to tell her when she'd finished.
Listening closely, Collin frowned when she mentioned the baby. He'd be alright with the drugs part, because that sort of seems like something you can get easily messed up on. But he'd never guessed Becca would be the kind of girl to get pregnant. He felt like a mother, listening to his daughter confess. But it only got worse when she said she'd had the child in a garage somewhere and was high at the time. And then the part about it dying.. Collin could've cried. But the man (and the carer) in him told him to stay strong. She looked like she needed a strong shoulder to cry on, not someone that was also sobbing.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered, reaching a hand across the table to place over her's. He also figured it was best to not remind her that today was his birthday.. that'd just make things awkward. "Would it make you feel better to hear my story?" he asked shyly, a bit of a voice crack near the end because of the nerves building up in his throat.

Becca felt like a weight was lifted off of her shoulders when she finished. His hand over her's was comforting and she smiled a little. "I'm to blame. She never should have died," she whispered, and dug in her purse to pull out her keys. On the chain, among a few random keys and such, was a pink cartoon bow keychain, the name "Heather" written in write, with "my little angel" engraved on the back. She showed it to him, then held it in her hand. "Thank you," she murmured, looking up to catch his eye. "I really needed someone to... to tell. I love that I have you to talk to."
When he asked if she wanted to hear his story, she nodded, and leaned in. She knew he had had problems in the past, she just didn't know with what. She couldn't help that her mind ran through all the possibilities, either. She turned her hand so that she had her's over his. "You can tell me whatevery ou need to. It feels good to get it off of your chest."

Collin let out a little "uh", the kind of 'uh' someone does when they feel sorry. "Becca you can't blame yourself. Things happen," he said, smiling at the end to try and get her to smile too. When she pulled out the key chain, he smiled even broader. "That's nice," he said, looking up at her. "And I'm glad I have you to talk to, too. So.. here goes.."
Huffing, Collin sat back against the cushioned booth. It was pretty uncomfortable, all the leather pulled so tight over the wood. But it felt better than trying to sit up straight. Taking a deep breath, Collin closed his eyes and looked down. "When I was fourteen I was checked into rehab for my eating disorder," he said, looking back up slowly. He wanted to show that he could talk about this so she knew that she could talk about herself too. He wanted to be strong for her, but it was proving to be difficult. "I'm anorexic, Becca," he said, tilting his head to the side a bit and squinting his eyes at her. He didn't say it in a sort of 'feel bad for me' way.. it was more of just stating a fact. "And have been for almost five years. When I was fourteen, it got really bad. I stopped eating completely and worked out like I was fucking Arnold Schwarzenegger. So one day I just.. my insides stopped working and I passed out. They brought me to the hospital.. I weight a hundred pounds."
He paused.
"I'm better now tho. Still anorexic, like I said. But I eat again. Like this pizza," Collin said. He pulled up his shirt so she could see his stomach. Still pretty damn thin, you could see the tips of his rib cage. "I've gained a lot back," he said, quite proud of what he was now. Shrugging, he pouted and looked at her. "I can't lose you. And I don't think you can lose me. We're too close," he said and smiled. "Best friends for lifeeeeee?" he added in a high pitched voice to get her to smile.

Becca listened politely, and when he said he had an eating disorder, her heart dropped. She had met many girls over the year struggling with that. She never had any friends like that (the munchies kind of prevent not-eating) but she knew it existed. It kind of hurt for her to hear that her best friend had went through something like that. She didn't understand eating disorders - she'd never really studied them or had a need to. She just knew they left you hurt, and it killed her to know that he was even hospitalized for it. Sucking in a breath when she saw his thin stomach, she reached across the table and took his hand.
"Collin," she whispered. "I'm so happy you got help, and got better. I don't know what I'd ever do without you."
OOC/fail sorry

Collin shrugged and smiled. "Probably the same things I'd do without you.." he paused and looked down thoughtfully. "..Not exist," he finally said with a goofy smile as he looked back up and grabbed for his pizza. "No but really, I appreciate the love. And I'm glad I'm here to give it back to you."
After finishing a piece of pizza, Collin decided to take a break from eating. He was feeling overly bloated already, but he knew he could eat again in a few minutes. Until then, he'd write down that he'd finished a whole piece in his journal. Like always, he'd been sure to bring it and it was currently sitting beside him in his navy blue Nike cinch bag. As he reached for it and a pen, Collin looked to Becca. "So enough about the sad stuff... what else is going on?" he asked with a smile, reaching a hand into the bag and pulling out his journal.
