Gavin's room is simple. He really only has a bed, dresser, and a mini fridge holding up the TV. He has a few pictures of friends on the walls, but his room is very plain. Genevieve drew two geese above his bed. Why? He has no idea. But he let her do it because she's his sister and he doesn't argue with her judgement very often.

Gavin strummed lazily on his guitar, humming some melody. He and the boys wrote a song some months ago, but they never did anything with it. It was just the five of them, being hopelessly in love — he with Morgan, Jon with Esme, Bray with himself...Skylar and Anthony with...each other? It didn't matter. It was mostly he and Jon anyway. They'd called it Little Things, but none of them had the courage to ever sing it around anyone else. Except maybe Bray, who would do anything for attention, but... Gavin had bigger issues at hand. Your hand fits in mine, like it's made just for me...He barely registered himself singing out loud. It didn't matter very much anyway. Not like Morgan would judge him, even if he sucked. Which he was pretty sure he did, but... He played the entire song, back on the floor, feet propped up on the bed, staring at the ceiling. It felt so weird to not having the padding his hair once gave him, since he shaved it off this morning. Well. His mom did, when he went to go visit her. She thought it was a good idea. She didn't like that he skipped school to drive to Chelsea just for a haircut, but seeing as her son had cancer, she was a bit lenient. After he sang the last lyric, he stopped playing and pushed the guitar off of his belly and onto the floor beside him. He sat up and looked up at Morgan. He felt awful for keeping her from Homecoming. They'd planned to go and she probably even had a dress. He just...he didn't want to be around all of his happy classmates when he felt so horrible. She said she understood, but he still felt like the worst boyfriend ever. He crossed his legs and places his elbows on his knees, resting his hands on closed fists. "I'm sorry for keeping you in, Morgy. I promise I'll make it up to you..." he gave her a sad smile up on the bed and then look back at the floor. He didn't even feel worthy of eye contact. Morgan deserved the best, and he just wasn't providing that lately.

Morgan didn't mind staying in for homecoming, really. She didn't need all that to have fun -- she could have the best time with Gavin even if they were watching paint dry or grass grow, as long as she was with him, nothing else seemed to matter. It wasn't like she was going to force him into doing anything if he wasn't into it, Morgan wasn't a selfish person. She was willing to do anything for him, because she knew herself that he would do the same had she been in his position. Ever since she'd found out Gavin was sick, Morgan thought extremely deep into everything that would affect them. The chances of him not surviving this were small, but still existent, and Morgan, though not known for being much of a risk taker, did like to swipe every opportunity she got and... what if Gavin didn't survive this? What if they didn't have a lot of time to be together? She didn't want to have any regrets.
She leaned her head on his shoulder and let out a breath, "Don't be sorry, it's okay, really," she smiled, softly, "Wherever you are is exactly where I want to be." Glancing down, she traced a finger along his chest, scrunching her eyebrows for a second, contemplating her thoughts, then looked up at Gavin, "Gavin," her voice was soft, "I want you to make love to me."

Wait...what?
Was she being serious? She...she wanted him to make love to her? As in...have sex? Now? But...they'd always planned on waiting until marriage. They didn't want to end up like Esme or Thalia Manson. They were different, they were...they were in love.
He kissed her back with as much passion as he could muster, hoping to make her feel how much he loved her. Maybe...maybe sex wouldn't be a mistake when it was the two of them. It wouldn't be dirty or raunchy or anything but innocent and lovely. He pulled away and looked at her very seriously, "Morgs...you know I want you. You...you have no idea how badly I want you, but are you sure? I don't want to do anything you're not one hundred perfect positive about. No matter what, I'm always going to love you." He brushed her hair out of her face and shifted into a more comfortable position on the floor where he had his arms around her back, pulling her in closer. "You are the love of my life, and that's never going to change. You don't have to sleep with me for me to love you. You know that, right?"
If this was what they were going to do, he wanted to be sure that she actually wanted it. He needed to know what she was actually into it, or else he wouldn't enjoy himself at all. Either way, he was guessing it would be awkward, but whose first time wasn't? And why would that matter? He was completely and totally in love with her, and they had the rest of their lives for it to become unawkward. Even...even if the rest of his life wasn't as long as hers was.

Morgan smiled sincerely, fiddling slightly with Gavin's shirt, "I know you love me, I can see it and I can feel it," she pursed her lips, blinking for a second, "I don't want to do this because I need you to reassure me," she shook her head, looking directly into Gavin's brown eyes, "I want to do this because I know, because I love you."
Admittedly, Morgan was pretty scared. What girl wouldn't be in terms of their virginity? Morgan wasn't like all girls. She didn't do that sort of the thing, wasn't very interested in it -- the girl had a porn phobia ever since her older brother showed her that Kids in a Sandbox video! But... this, this wasn't going to just be about sex. This wasn't even going to be just sex... this was going to happen with Gavin. They were going to make love. They were in love, and that's what people in love did -- and besides that, Morgan just felt like it was time. Life was too short to wait for things to just happen, because life didn't wait for you. Who would know how different things could be the day after that? Anything could happen.
Reaching up and running her fingers through his hair, she leaned up and kissed him, "I want this," she insisted, "I'm sure."

Gavin swallowed hard and nodded. "Um...okay," he took a deep breath and stood up from the floor. He had exactly one condom. He got it from Jon like six months ago. Well. He wasn't exactly given it. He found it in his car and took it. Jon had like an entire box, so he figured he wouldn't notice. And clearly it had paid off. It was in his bottom dresser drawer, under a few lawyers of sweaters and right next to...well. He didn't like to use the word flesh light, because that sounded really gross. But it sounded creepy that he'd nicknamed it Morgan, so he really just didn't reference it. But the condom was next to it, so he quickly grabbed the little square and closed the drawer before his girlfriend could look in and see what else was in there.
He turned around slowly and nervously held up the package for her to see. Now what? He wanted to ask her, but he figured that the guy was probably supposed to know how or initiate it or something. So...he did the only thing he could think of doing. He took of his shirt, and tossed it gently to the floor. That's what they did in the Notebook. At least he was pretty sure. He actually fell asleep during it, so he wasn't entirely sure. This just seemed like a good place to start. Now standing here in front of her shirtless and her still dressed, he felt incredibly uncomfortable. Sure, she was probably about to undress, too, but it was terrifying with her looking at him. Yes, she'd seen him swimming and without a shirt on multiple occasions, but this was different. There was an entirely different reason he didn't have a shirt on now.

Standing up nervously now as she watched Gavin, Morgan scrunched her eyebrows. She could do this. It wasn't like she was forcing herself to, she wanted to, it was just... it was happening now, and, she wasn't sure of what to do. What if he didn't like it? Morgan had never done this before! And well, she trusted Gavin hadn't either, but that didn't matter! She just wanted to do this for them, she wanted it to be special.
Watching him take his shirt off, Morgan bit her lip, then glanced down to her own shirt, figuring the best she could do in turn was take hers off as well. She looked at Gavin, smiling over at him, reassuringly, and crawling her hands over to the hem of her shirt, grabbing onto it and lifting it up, over her head, and let it fall to the floor once it was off. Her stomach turned, and she fiddled with her hands, suddenly self-conscious about being so exposed.

Gavin had only seen Morgan in her bra a total of once. And that was during an awkward encounter when he didn't knock and walked in on her changing. It had been just incredibly embarrassing for them both, and they never talked about it again. He'd seen her in swimsuits, but this was different. Just like everything was different tonight.
He tried not to stare, but she was just so beautiful. Not even because she was exposing herself to him, but because she just had a beautiful body. A body he loved, because it held the person he loved. He wiped his hands on his jeans as his palms were sweaty, and then began to unbuckle his belt. This is what he was the most nervous about. There has been a few awkward encounters when he'd gotten a bit too excited and that one time where he jizzed his pants in walmart, but there had never been an official whoop, there it is.
He stepped closer to her as he kicked off his jeans. Thankfully, nothing was er...going on down there yet, and he guessed it was because of the nerves. Or Jesus had smiled down upon him and decided to save the boner for later so he didn't give Morgan as heart attack, standing in his boxers with a hard-on. That would not be okay. He kept steady eye contact, waiting for her next move. There was a small smile on his face, and he began to relax a bit. Why was he freaking himself out? What was the point? They were in love. What was wrong about showing that love in the one way humans could? The more he thought about it, the more he realized there was no answer at all. There was nothing wrong with what they were doing because they were in love.

Morgan felt like she was in a dream. This was really happening right now, and the fact that she knew it, it just didn't feel real, like she was in a daze. She watched Gavin carefully, pursing her lips, then slowly unbuttoned her own pants, sliding them off and then shimmying out of them. Esme had spoken to Morgan plenty of times about having sex with Gavin because he would like it, that it would make him happy -- obviously she wasn't doing this because of that, but it definitely came to mind now that it was happening. The thoughts were far off from what was occurring at the moment, but she couldn't help but try and think of outside subjects in order to keep herself calm about the situation at hand.
They weren't doing this for the sake of having sex, or because of the chance that Gavin was dying, no. They were doing this because they loved each other, and no reason besides that. Morgan wasn't the type of girl to treat any of this like it was nothing, and looking up there, at Gavin, straight in front of her, she knew that she wasn't going to regret this. This was the boy she was going to be in love with for the rest of her life... she wouldn't regret being with him for a second.

I guess this is it...
Everyone told him that sex is special. That you should only have sex with someone you care about. Someone you honestly feel comfortable with. Someone who doesn't make you feel awkward or less than great, and the only reason this was uncomfortable was because they were both freaking how. He could sense her tension and he knew she could sense his. He walked over to her and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Relax, okay? We're going to be fine. We love each other, remember?" He took one of his hands and lifted her chin up to meet his mouth.
Where this sudden confidence was coming from, he had no idea. Maybe it was the fact that he knew he needed to take control through this to keep Morgan calm, or that he realized that this was meant to be...whatever it was, he felt at ease in the situation, as much as he could be. He laid her down on the bed and swung his left leg over her waist as he continued to kiss her. He was going to go slow, and not make it feel like anything was rushed. Because it wasn't. While his classmates were finding out who won homecoming court, he was making love to the most beautiful girl in the world.
