Things had been tough since the shooting, even though Ben hadn't personally lost anyone. It was just hard seeing his friends go through all of that, and Jeremy was still trying to get over his arm. This whole month since it happened had been impossible for a lot of people, and he was proud of Esme for throwing a party. He knew she'd lost people, and they'd even talked about it a little on the phone when she invited him. Out of anyone he knew, he thought she was dealing with this the best. It probably wasn't as easy for her as she was making it seem, but she was still doing well. He was proud of his friend.
He held onto Lulu's hand as they walked into the Russel home and he laughed out loud when he saw Jon's Santa get up. He knew that he was definitely not handling this well, probably almost as bad as Gavin, so it was definitely refreshing to see him doing something fun to make his daughter happy. Though of course, he wasn't going to miss this opportunity, even if it was just for Cici.
He moved from his girlfriend's side and ran right at Jon, jumping up into his arms. "Santaaa!" He cries like a little kid. "I want a pony, and a unicorn, and a bicycle, and a fire truck, and a kitty, and a stripper pole, and umm..." He had to stop because he couldn't think of anything else, and he felt like he was about to crush Jon anyway, and Esme would probably not be happy if he broke her husband. He jumped down and hugged him quickly before bouncing off to the kitchen and stealing some cookie dough. He gave the hostess a friendly kiss on the forehead and then stuffed the dough in his mouth.
He grabbed a few cookies and was gone before Esme could scold him for being such a big. "Baby, look!" He said to Lulu with his full mouth. He held his hand out to her so she could grab some sweets. "This is like the best day of my life," he announced to the entire party. He couldn't really tell if anyone else was having as good of a time as he was, but when it came to free food, Esme threw the best parties.

Naveah felt like a total failure of a person... until Jaxon came back over. It was nice of him not to run screaming for the hills because a psycho girl thought she was the next greatest stand up comedian. She blushed and dodged his gaze, looking at the ground in shame, still feeling a bit dumb - but it was cool that he'd come over to talk to her. She laughed when he tried to shake her hand but found himself unable to do so with too many cups/cupcakes in the way! This was a dilemma! She waited for him to set them down, then offered her hand to shake his. "Naveah Withers, and I'm sorry I'm so bad at introductions." She chuckled, shaking her head at herself as if she couldn't believe she could be so dumb.
"Um, let me explain, though - I saw that you were all excited over Batman, and that made me excited, because he's one of my favorites, so I thought I'd make some jokes." She rolled her eyes, able to continue poking fun at herself. "I'm no Dane Cook or anything," she shrugged, still feeling flushed. Okay, social interactions still sucked, but at least there was Batman involved with this one. She picked up her own Batman cupcake and smiled. "Here's to cool cupcakes and a great fandom." She suggested, raising the cupcake as if it were a glass to salute to.

Gavin sat besides Morgan in the kitchen, eating a bowl of granola cereal with fresh blueberries. He didn't know how Esme did it, but she always had the best food. He wasn't feeling too bad today, but having a bowl of cereal to soak up the yucky feeling in his tummy was definitely helpful. The house smelled delicious, even though he wasn't much of a sweets guy. No one could deny that Esme was an amazing cook, and throwing these parties just proved how good she was at it.
"You're practically vibrating off your seat, Morgs," He commented, smiling over at her. He couldn't remember many times where she wasn't happy, but tonight she was right in her element.
She'd been so supportive throughout this whole month of he and his family trying to deal with losing Genevieve. She took care of him when he was feeling sick from his chemo, or sad, or when he just seemed like he needed someone. She was even able to tell when he just wanted to be left alone, and when he got like that, she stuck around the house to do other things like clean for his mom, bake cupcakes, make him chicken noodle soup... Morgan was absolutely the best person in the world. He wished there was something he could be half the support system for her that she was for him. Coming to little events like this was the absolute least he could do for her.

As more people started gathering up, Mark began to feel better. People livened him and especially people he was fond of. Needles to say that he almost yelped when Jon came out in his Santa Claus outfit. Still, he was holding Cici and that probably would scare the pacifier out of her mouth. He had noticed that it was... Dipped in frosting? He chuckled a little as he walked on over to the kitchen, following behind Esme and Riley.
He greeted everyone that had just arrived simply because it was of good etiquette.
Riley nodded, "Alright!" she then looked around before getting ready what they were using to make the doughnuts. "Wow Esme you have everything set here like a workshop." she was extremely fascinated by this because it reminded her of when she and her mother used to have baking days. Everything was set up. Veronique was such a perfectionist that everything had to be followed by color hues and such. Which was why Riley was great with color coordination. "...How do you make jelly filled donuts?" she asked as she walked over to Morgan who was sitting there by the counter, "Morgan!" she gave her a tight hug.
Carrying Cici around made Mark wonder what it would be like if he were a father. It was such a young age to become a father and he could barely handle school and work nonetheless school, work and a baby. But babies were so cute. He'd be an amazing father it was just that he was unaware of that. He took a slice of pizza and took a bite from it before looking to Cici, he didn't think it was polite to eat so close to a baby.

{ www.polyvore.com/singing_movies_baking_oh_my/set?id=86266855 } Keisha could never reject a pajama party. It was like what she always did, but with more food. And socialization, which was supposed to be beneficial. Or something like that. But that wasn't the important part. She'd actually been wearing the pajamas for the past three days (she washed them yesterday), but she hadn't really gone out, so nobody had to know her secret. It probably wasn't appropriate for the weather, though, since there was actual snow upon the ground, and her thin pajamas and light sweater and whale penis weren't warm enough, especially since she'd be walking. But she was a dumbass, so freezing her ass off was her fate. When she arrived, she ended up having holes in the bottom of her slippers, which was slightly disappointing, because those were custom-made. She knew it was her fault for being an idiot and not bringing other shoes. Oh, well. Keisha took no time in going to the kitchen, because Esme always had food. Even when she didn't invite people over she had food. It was weird. Keisha suspected the Illuminati, but she didn't question it too much. She said, "hello" and smiled at Cici. Mark was baby-talking, which Keisha hated, but she wasn't going to call anyone out on it. It just seemed dumb as hell to talk to talk to a baby like that. Or at least you sounded dumb as hell, and it made no difference to them since they were, y'know, babies. Keisha probably shouldn't have been all that passionate about it, but she probably shouldn't have been that passionate about half the things she was passionate about. (Did I forget to say passionate?)

Adriana didn't normally sleep like this, honestly. She typically fell asleep in comfortable sweat pants and a baggy sweater especially during these winter months but she knew that she would never get Warren to want to be with her if she didn't actually make an effort to look good for him even if this little get up was absolutely freezing to hang around in. Esme's house was at least seven hundred degrees below what it already was outside. How in the world was she not freezing to death? Or even mildly concerned about her daughter getting too cold? Whatever. It wasn't her party so it really wasn't her place to judge her but that didn't mean that she wasn't going to try and maybe sneaky turn the heater on. "Is it abnormally cold in here to you or is it just me?" She glanced over to her sexy as hell bo-- friend. Yeah, she totally meant to call him her sexy as hell friend.
Okay, it actually hurt her soul a little bit when she had to call him just a friend but she didn't want to be the girl who just ruined everything all the time. If Warren wanted to date her then he'd ask her, right? She had been really hoping that her feelings would go away and that they were all just because he had taken her virginity and some because she actually liked him but they just kept getting stronger. Everything about Warren made her smile even the things that most people wouldn't truly appreciate like the fact that he didn't always let her wear the hats that she wanted him to wear or the fact that he called her 'Cupid'. Nothing made her smile wider than when he called her Cupid.. just something about it felt so affectionate like he could maybe like her back even if it was more than likely because he forgot her real name.
"You look really sexy though." She purred into his ear as she moved just a little closer than necessary, was she really doing this here? What the hell, she had a key to the basement! "You just make me so hot that it's kind of okay for it to be cold in here." Had she really just said that? Where was all of this even coming from? As she moved her mouth to nibble on his earlobe, she knew that she was getting herself into this more than intended. What was she going to do if he rejected her in front of all these people?
"Do you like my pajamas?" She figured that lingerie was the best way to go if she wanted too impress him. She didn't feel bad though even as she moved her hand to his rear and started stroking his booty. If he didn't know what she wanted by now then she was so done. Whale Penises.

Post by Esme Russel on Jun 20, 2013 2:42:25 GMT -5
Going twenty-eight days without sex probably wouldn't be a big deal if Esme wasn't married to such a hunk sandwich well and her pregnancy just made her want it more than she typically did. She felt like a cat in heat! Damn. And the fact that her husband had just came down the stairs with a Santa beard and hat on really wasn't helping the ache. Didn't her husband remember her intense love for Santa? Of course she knew that this was meant entirely to cheer people up and give their daughter the best Christmas memories possible but that really didn't mean that it was less of a turn on. She almost wished that she could just pull him into their bedroom and have her way with him but she knew that he wouldn't be in the mood anyway.
How incredibly selfish was she that she was actually feeling jealous of Gin? Losing her had spun Jonathan in such a way that it actually physically made his wife want to be sick. She'd always known about his past feelings for her but she assumed that those had gone away when they said their wedding vows well and the whole Gin being a lesbian thing had to come into play somewhere. She really did know that she wasn't entitled to these feelings but that didn't stop them from happening. It would never not hurt when she thought about how he wanted to be alone to mourn her death when he didn't even care to celebrate the fact that his wife and daughter had survived.
She forced those thoughts out of her head and just stared at the man that she married. He was trying and that deserved more praise than she could ever give him. He was someone who she really admired now that she thought about it. How many teenage fathers would be willing to do this for their young daughters? She was going to snatch her little girl but seeing her with Mark just made her smile so much that she couldn't do it. "Hey Keisha!" She smiled widely before turning to Riley when she heard her comment about how it all looked like a workshop, "I know! I worked really hard to make it all look organized.. Hold on, I'll be right back." She was fully planning on just getting her husband and returning to her little group.
She kissed him on the bridge of his nose before taking one of his hands so he could feel how rounded that her stomach was these days. She'd been feeling so distant from him lately that she needed some sort of affection, "I'm really glad that you did all this and I think that Cici is, too... Look at that look in her eyes. She's really fascinated with her daddy." The little one inside of her was also so much more active when Jonathan was around but she wasn't sure if he was going to be able to feel it yet. "I've missed you.. I've missed a lot of things lately. It's so strange not... touching you anymore or feeling close to you anymore." She sounded pathetic right now and she knew that he would have every right to be frustrated. How could she be like this when he was missing his best friend?
She was craving affection more than she'd even realized but she knew that she wasn't getting it here. What could he really do? Kissing her in front of all of these people would be unsavory and it would just make Gavin uncomfortable. "Do you think.... Maybe tomorrow...?" It wasn't about the sex anymore, was it? It was about her own issues and her own fear that this distance wasn't coming from the loss of a friend but the loss of his teenage years to some whore who got pregnant and forced him into a marriage. "We don't have to but I just really miss you. Or.. Maybe we could just snuggle up in bed with Cici."
Of course she missed Genevieve more than anything but everyone was falling apart. She couldn't be another person who just broke down, could she? Gavin was still obviously struggling and she couldn't blame him. Genevieve Noel Morgan was the sunshine of this school so she felt like someone had to take over that position. Someone had to make sure that everyone didn't give in even when the going got really hard and it seemed like Esme was electing herself for that position. Could she do that when she was the one resenting the dead? Probably not.. But at least she wasn't make it so obviously that she just wanted her husband to stop grieving and love her for a minute. She didn't know how she was supposed to keep going on like this without snapping. She'd think about just sobbing for his attention and then she'd think about Gavin.
Gavin had just lost his best friend.. his sister, his support and she couldn't bring up something selfish like that to her husband. She'd probably get his affection back one day but Genevieve would never be able to hug Gavin again or fall in legitimate love and maybe get married. What if she had children of her own one day?

It wasn't like Beatrice had never done things solo before but she'd been under the misguided impression that having a boyfriend meant that you would never have to go to these kind of holiday things alone. Finn, unfortunately, did not get the memo and hadn't attended this party with her despite the fact that she really quite wanted him there. What could she really do though? Not show up to support her sister and niece because her boyfriend didn't want to go? How angry did she sound at him right now? She really wasn't angry.. Just disappointed that something so important to her wasn't so important to him. She wasn't going to hold this against him because she just wasn't that kind of person but she also couldn't promise that she was just going to 'let it go' as her sister advised. Was it really expecting too much of him for him to attend one stupid holiday party?
She just knew that Jonathan was here for his daughter and wife despite having lost his best friend just twenty-eight days ago and her boyfriend who hadn't lost anyone couldn't make it. And, Gavin Morgan was here despite having lost the most important person in his life because he wanted to support his girlfriend. Woah, she really needed to chill out on the resenting Finn for one little disappointment and just enjoy spending this time with her family and friends... And apparently Stormy. Awesome. "I brought McDonald's!" She announced as she stepped inside. Her first move was obviously to the kitchen as she set the bags of greasy food down on the counter. "Riley! Mark!" She greeted the two of them with friendly hugs and pecks on the forehead before leaning in so she could greet her favorite little niece-y pie. "Hi miss Cupcake." She gushed as she handed the infant a french fry.
"Do you want me to take her for you?" She asked with a small smile as she watched the nine month old sucking all of the delicious salt from the fry. How did normal babies survive without all of this awesomeness? "Esme texted me and said that you guys were making donuts so I brought my donut maker." She had almost forgotten despite the fact that her bag was a million times heavier now that she had it inside. She pulled the yellow machine out and set it on the counter before turning to Riley.. Man, she was holding up well. She'd heard from her sister that Riley had also experienced loss from this shooting. She wasn't sure who she'd lost or how close that they'd been but she knew that this whole situation wasn't just going to go away anytime soon.
People would still be dead tomorrow.. People would still mourn tomorrow and she would probably still be a little bit angry at Finn for not being here to support her. Had he completely forgotten that she had lost one of her best friends recently? Or did he just not care enough to show up? Whatever. Tonight wasn't about Finn, it was about making sure that Cassidy had the perfect first Christmas memories. "Stormy, do you want some McDonald's?" She knew that the other girl hated her but she really didn't give a fuck. She was going to be the bigger person in this whole ridiculous situation.

She was getting bored of sitting in the living room, and doughnuts sounded fabulous. Esme always had everything that you would need to make food. It was a miracle that she had time for all this and somehow she found the time. Stormy kind of looked up to her for that, because who else could have a kid in high school and still make time for friends, and be popular, and get good grades. Stormy didn’t even have that stress and she still found herself falling asleep after dance while she was trying to do her Spanish homework. She didn’t understand how Esme even made time for it all, of course she kept this in her head though. Since she didn’t want to seem like she wanted to live the life Esme had at the moment. If she had been in Esme’s shoes the house would have been on fire and the baby might have ended up in the dishwasher, either way it wouldn’t have been good. She was not ready to be a mom, which was yet another reason why she admired Esme for being able to do it so young.
She made her way into the kitchen, and couldn’t help but laugh at Jon’s attempt to make everything better by dressing up. It was cute, that was for sure. Mark and Riley were in the kitchen and she greeted them just as Bee walked in. To be honest she did not particularly like the girl but to be fair she wasn’t the one that started this whole thing. It was ridiculous to spread stupid rumors about a person, who would even think to say a thing like ‘she has four kids and steals sperm, oh and she has AIDS’? To be honest Stormy thought it made no sense in the first place. She hadn’t even been in a relationship since forever at that point. She just didn’t see what there was to be jealous of, that and the fact that Bee had a boyfriend at the time she was making Stormy seem stupid for a guy that she wasn’t even dating.
Stormy felt bad for whoever ended up with her because she seemed way to possessive, like one of those girls who never let their boyfriend do anything without her approval or something. That seemed like a waste of energy to Stormy though, she would rather just let him do what he wanted, she didn’t need someone around twenty four seven. Even though it really did suck to not see Jaime most of the time, she really missed him sometimes. She figured if strict parents lead to rebellious kids then the same applied to boys right? Well she probably wasn’t the best person to come up with these theories because she had been in a grand total of two relationships in her life and one of them had had a terrible ending to it. Another reason she had such hatred for Bee though was that she had been kind of jealous of her which made no sense at first.
How was it that a jealous bitch could call someone names, and act like they did something terrible to them when Stormy had really done nothing, and then still get the guy that she was acting stupid for? Maybe Finn was just really stupid. Did she really believe that French fries, or whatever was going to make up for it? Well Stormy did love food, but they were in a kitchen surrounded by food. What was that supposed to do?
“No thanks…” She let her voice trail off and then squinted at Bee like she was a crazy person for even asking that question. If that was supposed to be a peach offering you better do better than that. Stormy really wanted to say what she was thinking but she decided before the words could come out that she was not going to be that rude. Maybe it was Bee genuinely trying to be nice to her. Either way she didn’t want to talk to her.

Waiting in the car outside the Escalona home, Kenix had enough time to clean out the glove compartment as well as the center console where he kept the GPS and a few pens. What was taking Elaine so darn long to get ready? They were going to Esme's house for a pajama party, not sightseeing in Europe. He turned on the radio for some music as he shifted in his seat. Finally, Elaine came out of the house and Kenix could see her parents at the door so he waved to them. Their families had been friends ever since he could remember and while things like work put a few strains on their parents' relationship, the Adlers and Escalonas would always be there for each other. "Can we leave now, your highness?" Kenix asked sarcastically, stepping down on the clutch before turning the key in the ignition to start the car. "Just drive, you dummy," Elaine said, rolling her eyes and reaching for the seat belt as he put the car in reverse and backed out of the driveway. Arriving at the Russel home, Kenix walked around to open the door for Elaine followed by the front door as well. He, of course, made a bee line for the kitchen to see what snacks he could munch on while she followed behind at a much slower pace, taking her time as to not get her precious Tigger slippers dirty.
