“I think that was the point,” he said, when she told him how he made her like Christmas a little bit more than before. He was going to say something else but she was kissing him before he could. That was nice, he really wasn’t doing it just so that she would kiss him or have sex with him. He liked her as a person too, and he wanted to get to know her. “To be honest. I just needed an excuse to hang out with you and get to know you,” he still hadn’t really learned that much about her, there was still so much to learn about her.
He was being honest when he said that, and he realized that it didn’t matter why she hated Christmas because she needed to like it, but because it was something about her that he wanted to know. Now he was feeling sappy, and romanticey. “You don’t have to thank me,” he whispered before he kissed her again. No one ever really thanked him for anything but that was probably because a majority of the stuff he did was stupid, and not beneficial to anything. So he didn’t really feel like him thanking her was something she needed to say. He was just helping her anyway, and he wanted to do it.

Hannah sat back with a smile. "Yeah, I know, we keep talking about how we need to get to know each other." She sighed, curling her feet under her so that she sat in that "criss cross apple sauce" position that really needs a new name. Leaning forward, she rested her elbows on her folded legs and put her chin in her hands. She turned to look at Aiden. "I suppose that since we really don't know each other that well, I'll have to stop kissing you, won't I?" She teased, half serious and half not. She was honestly getting confused with all of this. They weren't dating, but they did "couple things" together. They seemed to be so compatible, but they couldn't label the relationship yet, because they were barely friends. It was completely crazy, how she could know so much about his sister, and not a thing about him in general.
"I'm glad that you want to hang out with me." She said, hearing him say that she didn't have to thank him. However, it felt as though she needed to tell him that she appreciated him. He was who he was around her, and it was just his genuine friendship that made her happy. When he leaned in to kiss her again, she kissed back. She was getting to the point where kissing him was natural. It was like punctuation in a sentence - something that was supposed to happen, to break up random spaces of time. Yet each time it happened, it meant something. Every kiss was important, just like every comma or period at the end of a sentence. That's what Hannah enjoyed most - the fact that it all mattered.

He shook his head when she said that she would have to stop kissing him. “No don’t do that,” he wasn’t sure if she was serious or not, but he didn’t like that. How hard could it really be to get to know her? Well apparently it was pretty difficult since they hadn’t really done much getting to know each other, well of course other than sex, and kissing. That was all fun, and good, but maybe she was right and they should talk about stuff, that was no fun though. He wasn’t the type of person that could sit and have a conversation with someone for a while, it was like they had to be doing something. He couldn’t just talk to someone, he was the type of person who wanted to get to know someone by going on crazy adventures with them, and doing fun things.
That might have been the whole goal of the Christmas thing. After a moment of kissing her, he pulled away from her so that he could say something, “So what do you want to know?” he asked. He didn’t know what he wanted to know about her, and the only thing he could come up with was everything. He had said that before, and never ended up learning a thing. That was his own fault though because he said he wanted to get to know her and then never really put much effort into having a real conversation, so that maybe he could be ready to have a relationship with her.
